Caipirinha Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 I'd rather hold my tounge and later on regret not having said something than I would say something and have it be recieved poorly...
JamesSavik Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 I'd rather hold my tounge and later on regret not having said something than I would say something and have it be recieved poorly... There is a quote from a guy named Lincoln (maybe you've heard of him) that is very similar: "It is better to remain silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." In way too many people, their mouth runs a lot faster than their brain. Bucking this trend is a virtue , not a vice.
Caipirinha Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 "It is better to remain silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." I had completely forgotten that quote. In some ways it is appropriate, in some it's not. Good food for thought though.
