Freedom Comes With a Cost

What you say is very true, but the heart of a teenage boy is something else again, and Truth doesn't always stand much of a chance. -

Choosing between WOW and LOVE was a difficult choice, so I flipped a coin. -

Some of us are just attracted to bad boys, God bless their hearts. Others can see danger and depart, am pretty sure Hunter can do that, he just doesn't want to. -

" He finds himself turned on by other guys. Is he going to disappoint them?" Are you asking how he could refuse all those other temptations? Is that not the mark of a kind and caring individual, to leave them alone, without some loving? -

Mostly agree, but like Hunter, just do not like having someone clinging or dependent on me, much prefer someone independent who gels with me, as it were. -

Bring in what are made out to be real life events tend to take over the story, any story. Sort of shock and awe and then recovery before it starts on the other side. -

Truth, Dare, and Consequences
SorcererImp commented on LittleBuddhaTW's story chapter in Truth, Dare, and Consequences
Great chapter, Yeison was just not strong enough for Hunter. Am not sure if he is new at the game, but he seems to be hanging on to Hunter for dear life. Everyone has a pattern or favorite , clinging is just not on the menu with me. Can totally understand Hunter's trouble dealing with that. Jealousy is just another name for it, a different face, but the same attitude basically. Can appreciate Hunter's past of being here and then there and then somewhere else. Had a lot of that from 5-12, it changes one. For me, it just meant being able to go with the flow, providing it was a flow I wanted to go with. Very much, Peace Man! Losing his mother has just destabilized him, he will get his feet grounded, he has his group, Juan Camillo, and a safe place, its a start, where he will go with it, and with who, well, only further chapters will tell. -
Truth, Dare, and Consequences

Drama is a teenage rite of passage or is it passion? A friend of mine used to called addled essence, not adolescence. Nothing in a teenage is settled, they can go from being almost an adult in their behavior to pure goof off or childish in a second. Is it any wonder they dwell in drama, all to often? -
Just found this a few days ago, so maybe, like a bunch of your other readers, they were not aware that it was out there. Thoroughly enjoyed it, you have a way of putting everything and everyone just out there, where they are easily seen, no barriers, just people being who they are. The wealth of feelings you produce is really extraordinary, very few books or stories have that. Nothing is excessive, not even Jack's meltdowns considering his situations. Just all very nicely done with what seems like ease and most likely is anything but. Thank You and a belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, with even more readers!

Something Worth Holding Onto
SorcererImp commented on LittleBuddhaTW's story chapter in Something Worth Holding Onto
Yeison is a wonderful space and time in Hunter's life, but I do not see it lasting. Whatever Miguel is, to Hunter, the attraction is not going to go away. Sooner or later, I see Miguel do something, that both surprises Hunter and delights him, in such a way, that Yeison is yesterday's love, but a forever friend. The weekend was a wonderful soothing, almost massaging, period for them. It brought them together in ways they both needed, and showed Hunter he has the capacity for changing his past patterns. It has been sweet beyond his dreams, I just see it as a respite from where he is heading. Miguel remains in his attention and in his mind. He notices what he does and to who. Would you if you really had no interest or just really disliked the guy? That is a bond born of an equal passion and desires. Miguel just has to keep a face while Hunter never had to, perse. -

Any one, who knows the school, knows the gate gets shut closed, period. Hence Juan Camillo and company, are waiting around, not knowing what to expect, just knowing it is not going to be good. Whatever turmoil, emotional, psychological, problems Hunter had in the states, Columbia has just shown him a whole new brand of hurt and destruction. Hunter has a good heart, he makes sure Zack and Yeison are protected during chaos, he hears someone in pain, and runs to help, once things seem to have calmed down. All this is great, he is a better kid than he thinks he is. Yeah, he is in shock, as he bumps between people, thoughts, or the events, he is just trying to find some solid ground to stand on, as well as find out where he stands with the guys he is friend's with or wants to be. My guess is Juan Camillo winds up bringing Ferney back to Casa Hunter, where they spend so time together. Just how all that works out, with Riccardo present, well, will have to wait for Little Buddha to fill it in.

The Cartel Strikes First
SorcererImp commented on LittleBuddhaTW's story chapter in The Cartel Strikes First
In America, if a child falls off a train station platform and is injured or dies, it is the platform owners responsibility to make amends. In Japan, same situation, it is the parent's fault, they are responsible for their children, in the case you state, the child was obviously old enough to be treated like an adult. It is a pity, but with so many people, it keeps things orderly. -

I really like the way Yeison and Hunter are getting on, as well as getting Zack into the mix. Miguel remains a mystery, just who is he and what does he want? Hunter is a very aware kid, especially of his surroundings, and changes in them. Perhaps the death of his mother plus his fathers job have honed his awareness much more than the average kid. Ignoring street kids who don't have a choice. He is also a caring one, when he heard someone hurt, he went towards them and tried to help. A lot of kids in that situation would have been to blown away to get it together to even try to accomplish something. -

To many questions that are totally unknown at the moment. The story will reveal all, except for where any pots of gold are. -

The kids might, but beyond Ricardo, at least for the moment, no one else should have heard Juan Camillo go off. The future will fill in the blanks and open up more, that is just what it does. -

Schools in my experience usually carry on the next day or as soon as clean up can be arranged. Keeping the kids to a routine is probably the best thing that can happen, it stops or halts intermittently the panics and fantasizing disasters. -

You sure ask a lot of questions. The first one was obviously on purpose, the question becomes, by whom. The head mistress was taking a stand in a place where if you don't have the fire power to support you, you don't have anywhere to stand. Tomorrow is another day, of school, life goes on. How many heard Juan Camilo is unknown, perhaps under the circumstances only Ricardo. Miguel remains a mystery, for now. One only finds out who one can trust, when the going gets rough. If they are friends they hang in there, otherwise, if it gets rough, they get going. As for what happens next, wait till Saturday, like the rest of us, alas. -
"violence, shootouts, and action," Sounds a lot like a movie set.

Thank you for the timing, It is another example helping me to develop patience.

Living life as a performance, for one's family, one's friends, one's possible future, is just deadly. That is where Miguel seems to be trapped. Whatever Hunter has gone through, it has been in much lesser form, of a pressure cooker. He does not know what he is getting into, but at the moment, he does not care. He just wants what ever it becomes not to hurt anyone. That should not be too much to hope for, in Columbia, and for Miguel, it well may be. Yeison is a great guy, who in almost any other situation, would flower into love or at least some good sex and times. Miguel is that rare flower that speaks without speaking and draws people in. If nothing else, Hunter should learn not to make a habit of it.

Columbia is not America. Different country different mores. We do not have to like it, but, it is their culture and not ours. It seems Miguel is in full time management of his actions and thoughts, so that he can stay in the graces of those count, where he is. That is not something I would wish on anyone.
