    Chapter 38

Mother knows best may indeed be the way out of this. At least that is the hope, so far.

    Chapter 36

Jack, apparently outside of his parents, seems to handle most people and things fairly well. Nick brought him out of his shell and that seems both stable and real. His grades are good. He just has a set parents, that if a child survives them, could become almost anything, as they have already been beat down as hard as possible, anything else would hit a brick wall, causing Jack to consolidate reform, and be on his way again. Above all I see him as a survivor, not the living dead.

    Chapter 37

I only thought to look up the author around chapter 20 or so. It has been awhile since I refound this site.

    Chapter 37

It is really hard to not catastrophize things when one's father dies when your nine. Just old enough to begin to understand death and way to young to understand loss.

    Chapter 37

If not for season two as it were, I would be writing Please Sir, I want some more.

    Chapter 36

    Isn't couples therapy traditional?

    Chapter 36

There is way too much emphasis on getting back at Jack's parents, all that is is anger and hate, and have not known any one who was made better by getting involved with either. Jack just needs to let them go, like he let the issue with Jonah go, it is not needed in his life. What is needed is Jack and the crew, even Jonah, plus Mr. Bojangles, Dr. Kincaid, and above all Nick.

    Chapter 36

Suppose instead of anxiety, fear, or a lack of confidence, Nick has a perfectionistic view of how things should be, with little or any real life experience to back it up, that such a standard is even possible. Nick needs a little perspective, which since the death of his father, he's been doing everything he can for his mother, and now his boy friend, Jack, that is bound to get weary, especially emotionally when one slips.

    Chapter 36

Her dedication to her son, showing up for as many dinners, taking him places, outfitting him, is standard for a regular parent who works nine to five, for a parent whose hours are varied, it is a minor wonder.

    Chapter 36

Being an optimist, I think it will last. A group of kids, friends, even adults, who have hung around each other long enough make mistakes, but also because of the friendships, grow and reconnect, and the group just goes on.

    Chapter 35

Noah was a mess, not particularly different than Jonah, just older and more experienced. Nick had time, feelings, and some weekends to work things out. Jonah just went for what he wanted and lost. Nick will try to do the kind but somewhat distant friend for awhile and see if things heal, that seems like him to me. What he does with Jack, should proceed from what the letter said and what Jack's options, if any, are. There are no easy outs on any of these and then there are still finals coming. YEAH!

    Chapter 35

It is very hard at that age to hold back what one really wants to do and has wanted for a long time. Had Nick been fully dressed perhaps a different story, but the picture was to exciting, they were alone, and Jonah was few if any inhibition's. Yeah, Nick should have known better, but at 15 almost everything is still a learning experience.

    Chapter 35

The author has artistic license, and while the words might not fit a 14 and 15 year old, the emotions most certainly do.

    Chapter 34

Fortunately, in Court, neither a flask nor a Manhattan are allowed. Once there, with Dr. Kincaid, and Nick, all should, heavy on the should, be fine.

    Chapter 33

The photos, assumingly on the phone would have a date on them, wouldn't they?

    Chapter 33

Your storytelling is quite amazing, talented, etc. etc. etc. I don't read to find out what is going to happen, that is part of it, but the writing has to be good in and of itself. You are definitely worth reading and am glad to have found you.

    Chapter 33

Its hard to give up the photos, when one so wants to be the hero, and isn't even aware of it

    Chapter 32

Maybe Nick is just beating himself up for not standing up to Nick, in the first place, and having Jack step in. Nick has been the savior for Jack, maybe he is just having a hard time, not being in that position. Seeing himself as less than he had thought he was doing and not knowing how to get a better perspective back.
