    Chapter 12

I love that last line: "Granger sighed aloud, allowing himself that luxury, and then spurred his horse forward to go and greet Calvert and this new lover of his." Now was Granger going to greet Calvert out of a sense of gentlemanly civility or to confuse him and interrupt Calvert's enjoyment of his tryst-to-be? Hehehe! Evil. I go back and think about the chapter where Granger was grappling with the concept of love and how he differentiated what he feels for Caroline, Travers and Calvert. There seems to be an intimacy to each of his couplings with psychic connections established ... and, in his own way, he is faithful to each connection. So I wonder if he feels a betrayal when he sees one of his partners off with another -- that is, until they have the chance to explain to Granger that they, too, were faithful to the bond between them. Another excellent chapter, Mark! :-) Many thanks!

    Chapter 10

Poor Peter. I imagine his efforts will be well rewarded (either to himself or to his family in case he does not survive) for taking the blade meant for Brookstone. But what did Chartley mean when he said it involved "our families"? Freddie seems to have gone off the rails, not marrying well ... but what effect will this have on the Earl? But from what I can recall, the Earl seemed to have always had a soft spot for Bertie, perhaps realizing what constitutes his core, and a bit of contempt for his firstborn. We shall see .... So where was Ramsey in all this??? The "spy" has been quiet lately! Thanks for another fine chapter, Mark!

    Chapter 9

I loved this Chapter, Mark! I love the movement and the action. I love the fact that Roberts is showing captain-like qualities and that the other characters are developing, as well. We haven't had a good swashbuckling in some time. :-) Alas, you left us with a cliffhanger! Hahaha! Excellent chapter, Mark! Many thanks!

    Chapter 7

Perkins sounds like he'd make a yummy dessert! :-P Happy Easter, Mark!

    Chapter 6

Most excellent, Mark! Glad to have Nelson back in the picture! And Jervis is as curmudgeonly as ever. :-) The Darby spectacle is a bit worrisome. I look forward to reading how it unfolds. Also interesting how Roberts fell a little short in his task of compiling the transfer list. Is that a one-off or foreshadowing something? I always enjoy your stories! Poor Man's Son has been entertaining, as well. Thanks for them!
  6. I love this story. My partner started out like Blake is now. I didn't quite understand what was going on in his mind. He had a great bod but always complained about being too fat. We were out with some of my friends whom he was meeting for the first time and then he just started breaking down crying later telling me that they were going to tell me to break up with him. Really wild. I stuck with him though and help him through stuff ... but your depiction of what's going through Blake's mind has really given me some insight as to what can be going on with him. So thanks for that! I look forward to reading!

    Chapter 4

I like this character development of George. It is also good to see the inner turmoil that comes as a result of compartmentalization. The British stiff-upper-lip doesn't come without a cost! So let's see if George gets his way with the Duke of Clarence and then with his son! LOL! Kinky! ;-)

    Chapter 3

Every time I check the site and see a new chapter, I feel like I did when I was in college and I would check my mailbox and find a letter from a relative with some cash inside. :-) What a real treat this story is! This chapter, to be sure, was a sad one. Granger hasn't been faced with helplessness, and it adds another complexity to his character. What a terrible loss for him ... hopes for a reunion dashed in the most tragic way. Very powerful. It certainly serves as a maturing event. Good job, Mark!

    Chapter 2

I love the foundation you're laying, Mark! The only way I'd trust Ramsey is if he has a brand on his wrist. ;-) Villiers seems to be a nice enough guy ... grounded, yet fully aware of the world around him. I note that it's September ... I look forward to the stories leading to Valentine's Day of 1797! :-)

    Chapter 1

Was so excited to start the new Book! :-) Can't wait to figure out what "St. Vincent" is. And I feel the same as Sir George about reporters! LOL! Excellent foundation for what I hope will be a fantastic adventure! Cheers, Mark!

    Chapter 44

Fantastic, Mark! I was surprised. :-) I like being surprised. :-) You know, I'm down here in Christchurch and with all that's going on, it's a little depressing. Your stories always transport me. But today's, especially so. It's good to get my mind off the events of the last few days. So thanks for that! I look forward to the next series. Cheers!

    Chapter 43

Glad to see Freddie again! Poor guy. But getting a lot of action! LOL! And I like the way you give us a glimpse of everyday life for George ... social constraints really do contribute to boredom in one's life! Davina spells uber-trouble. I bet she's some distant relation of the Wilcoxes. LOL! I can't wait for the parade!!! Thanks, Mark! Another fine chapter! :-)

    Chapter 42

Fantastic chapter, Mark! Loved it! Read it twice. :-) I was hoping I'd get a Valentine's Day chapter from you, and you didn't disappoint! Happy V Day!

    Chapter 41

Excellent! I love how pragmatic Granger is. While he always marvels at Caroline's political skills, he's a true military politician! Thanks, Mark! It's a great story! :-) Can't wait til 42 now and see how the reception is back home. I hope the King like the ruby. :-)

    Chapter 40

Well worth the wait, Mark! Cheers! Can't wait til 41. :-)
  16. Merry Christmas, Mark! And a Happy Christmas to George and the Crew! Thanks for a year of great writing and adventure!
  17. I'm looking forward to 1805 when Granger will, I'm sure in some fashion, be taking part in the Battle of Trafalgar. Will also be interesting to see how your will treat Nelson's death! Love the stories and love the interplay between fiction and reality!
  18. Indeed! Waiting for my Belvidera Thanksgiving Day installment. :-) Happy Thanksgiving, Mark!
  19. Hip Hip Hooray!
  20. Hehehe! For me, I procrastinate my real life projects by reading about the exploits of George Granger!
  21. I miss the early frequency of the Bridgemont series. I feel like Caroline waiting longingly for any word from my George. :-(
  22. We hate the Floreal! Blast it to kingdom come, George!
  23. I wonder if Granger gets the dark red-haired, green-eyed Lt. Merrick as Number 1.
  24. Re: Ch 43 ... Poor Carullo ... He's going to be crushed when he finds out!
  25. I feel like Caroline waiting at home for George to return ... oh where, oh where has my cute Georgie gone? Oh where, oh where can he be? LOL!
