Will he be inspired by Alex, heed his advice and take charge of his life by doing to Meko what Alex did to Mortisse? And what of Ysabel? What about Justin's parents? Aren't they worried? He seemed pretty conscientious about contacting his Dad about coming home late. So what's up with that?

Hah! Now I get where those opposed to gay marriage always resort to the bestiality argument ... It's because they read stories on Nifty! Lol! Alex is a strange one ...I can't remember if it's been discussed why he isn't part of a pack. So, of course, his relationships with his family and the family pet, are dysfunctional! I so love Boris! Wow! What a great chapter! What an emotional roller coaster! Thanks for giving the clue that Mike and Corbin will continue on for at least a few more fucks. And with Pete? I haven't lost sight of the fact that the title of this story is "The English Year" and we're not even at Thanksgiving yet! Good Lord! While it's been a long semester for Corbin, one wonders whether he's going to make this a long senior year for Dom. What a prick! Dom should know that Corbin is very calculating when he's personally attacked. Dom has made it seem like it's his personal mission to rein in Corbin. All this while I've thought Dom is nothing more than the defender of the institution that fraternity presidents assume as their responsibility. But now we see that Dom actually plays a major role in shifting the trajectory of the storyline. Corbin can single-handedly ruin to the fraternity. Will he push it to the brink only to save it? Or will he wave at his brothers wishing them a glad farewell as he watches it sink? I can't see the fraternity's ruin to be in his interest since it serves as a resource for his wheeling and dealing. But, then again, a lot of his wheeling and dealing has been for the sake of his fraternity. Argh! O mores! O tempora! Lol! Can't wait for the next chapter!

Poor Buddy! Oli should have known better! Remember how Oli had been when he watched the shop clerk trying to flirt with Buddy? It was "rising, irrational anger." And that was only flirting! But now poor Buddy was faced with an actual situation. Oli and Buddy are mated. They just gave to figure out the mechanics!

GREAT chapter! Loved it! I like the way Cadet Mike has been developing ... The scene at the end it's like how the subtlety of psychological operations is no match for actual military force. Lol! A lot of guys on here hate Mike but in the world of Old Dominion guile, he's always been the most honest character. And it's also cool that what Corbin does with his words, Mike does with his actions. Looking forward to the aftermath! Mind you, I don't hate Pete, but knowing what it's like to be infatuated with a Pete-like guy, I hope the hit shook some sense loose in his brain. :-)

I love this story. Every chapter has given me warm fuzzies. :-) the scene with the unthinking girl and her mother was scary. It will be interesting to see Oli teach Boris all sorts of things after they change. :-)

Hooray! So glad the story is back! :-) I've missed it! Glad to see Corbin has a path forward. People seem to hate Mike but I enjoy him. It's been said that the world works best when you work in your own best interests and this particular chapter demonstrates what happens when individual best interests intersect. Of course, I'm rooting for the best interests of Corbin. :-)

I hope Elgin & his wife attend the party to underscore the favor George has from his monarch. That will definitely give him greater stature shuttling around the envoy. And what of Horatio? What a sad web he's tangled himself in. What can George do? I love the foundations you've laid, Mark. Finals suck. But I know you'll take care of your loyal readers! Hehehe! Thanks!

Very nice! So this was George's first action since his capture! He hasn't missed a beat! I love the curmudgeonly St Vincent. A no-nonsense guy. I watched the Hornblower episodes ... What a likable character! 7 chapters in and George hasn't "christened" his new ship yet. Hehehe! Who's going to be the first aboard Valiant? thanks, Mark!

A wonderful chapter, Mark! This is the best crew Granger has had yet! I can't wait to see what transpires with all these hunky boys in the baths. Hehehe! Maybe this ship should have been called Bacchante! ;-) But it's called Valiant ... I wonder if we're in for a tour of swashbuckling valor to justify its name. Before I read one of your Bridgemont Chapters, I always turn off whatever is playing in the background so my senses concentrate solely on your words. What a fantastic introductory chapter this was, Mark! In so few words we are developing a picture of Hornblower and Treadway. So far so good! I'm loving them both. Weston must like Valiant a bit since the cabins have taller ceilings to accommodate his height ... though I wonder if he can wear his headgear below deck. LOL! I think George will be the envy of many with his home just across from Portsmouth ... much like his grandfather spying on the comings and goings of the Fleet -- whenever he's in port, that is. hehehe! It will be fun to see Clifton enjoy the baths ... and George enjoy Clifton. And I do hope Cavendish makes it down before they have to sail. George seems to reserve bitter bile for Francis. That is a relationship that is still unresolved. I am so looking forward to future chapters! Bridgemont is, by far, my favorite story on GayAuthors! Thanks, Mark! :-)

Hooray! George is back! You surprised me by bypassing his parole period, but you gave us enough of a window to see that it was a period of tedium and wooden smiles. I'm glad you are bringing Weston, Clifton & Eastwyck back! But am worried because I like all three of them but know George always loses a lieutenant! :-( and you introduced Forester's Horatio Hornblower! What a cutie to have aboard! Will Hornblower be the one to"break-in" the new baths with George??? I noticed there was a tribute to Travers but, unless I missed it, nary a mention of Calvert. Out of sight, out of mind now? I read between Freddie's lines: here's a stove to keep you warm since I can't. I'm curious as to how their relationship developed over the 6 months. Caroline, as ever, knows her husband so well.
