Thanks, Modified Cub! Glad you gave it a shot. I can tell you in advance that this is as "bi" as the story's going to get. My goal was as much realism as you could reasonably get in this kind of story, and I felt a bi MFM moment was the easiest entry point for Richard's character in particular.

Thanks for the note! So glad you said that. Right, the title was intentionally a double-entendre to set up the twist. In this case, "Dad's Helping Hand" referring to the hand that's helping Dad... And later on in the story, well, we might just see that reversed. 🤫
