  1. ^^^^ Tim Finally I found someone who thinks the same way that I do. I agree with you that ITFB is brilliant. It's my favorite and by far Dom's best work thus far.
  2. My God, Luc's dream was so vivid and heartbreaking, we could feel his pain. Great job Duncan
  3. Hi Duncan - That's great news. I really don't mind the wait. It means we will enjoy chapter 17 even more.
  4. Just checking in on Duncan. Looks like it's "All Quiet on the Canadian Front" We're still with you Duncan !!!!! I guess it's "All good things to those who wait"
  5. Hi - Just finished reading all the posted chapters. I read one a day for five days. Well, Micah is a thoroughly likeable character as is Joel. I think the author did (or is doing) a great job in getting into the head of a 15 year old. It was rather interesting to see how and why he choose to be mute and how he was percieved by the other characters. I probably have to re-read the chapters. I understand that Micah misses him mom (he mentions it several times) but very little is known about how "special" she was. I just couldn't connect to it. I will re-read to see if I have missed out something on the mother. Oh well, looking forward for more soon. Thank you linxe
  6. I guess I am the only one surprised by this. He seems like a truly decent guy. I wish him all the best. p.s my teenaged fantasies would have been so much better had I known then !!!
  7. As we are heading towards the end of With Trust, Jame is not only becoming interesting and complicated but I am starting to have some sympathy for him. The dancing, the fear of losing his friends, the whole problem with his parents, I am of the opinion that he deserves his own story. What say all of you??
  8. Well, Stupid me. When I joined GA and discovered Dom's stories, I read the discription or synopsis of all of them before choosing which to read first. Somehow, I skipped the discription of ITFB( because there was not one) and began reading the prologue. Fascinated, I kept on reading. It wasn't until chapter 25 that I discovered that it was a sequel to TLW( that was the only description for ITFB). Well, it turned out to be a blessing and a curse. Having read ITFB first, I had a sympathetic opinion of Dennis while reading the TLW. I also remembered being so frustrated by Owen and Aiden's predicament in ITFB. I thought they were an overly-sensitive, over-analytical and mushy gay couple. I couldn't understand why they were like that. Had I read TLW first, I would have been in love with Owen and Aiden like the rest of you guys. Well, I like them now but I still harbor some unpleasant feeling towards them (and I feel bad about it, but I guess that's the curse). Hey, but I love Dennis and Travis. ITFB is still my favorite Dom story. Besides being my favorite because it was the first one I read, I also think it is Dom's finest work as a writer. The way he portrayed the dynamics of travis and Dennis' relationship is mind-blowing. I loved how he got into their heads and enabled us to see their motivations. That Dom choose to use the 3rd person POV added to the appeal. It took me a while to finally start reading WT. I was not encouraged by the description. I wasn't even sure I liked the name Nelson. Well forget that now. It is now my other favorite. But yes, I think there should be a better description of each story in Dom's homepage so that a Newbie would be better informed on these wonderful stories.
  9. I thought it was incredibly sweet what Nelson wrote in his letter to Milo. Don't you guys think so? What an unbelievably romantic story this is turning out to be. I am not usually prone to this, but I had a warm and fuzzy feeling after reading this chapter.
  10. Wow, you're quick. No, it does not work. You're probably better off posting the link. Thanks
  11. When I first saw this, I laughed so hard I knocked my laptop off of my table. Great find Jayne
  12. Yeah ....I am so sorry but I have a preference for non-blonds I tend to sometimes ignore the writer's description of characters and form one with which I am more "sympathetic". Sometimes I do that with the physical description of a setting also. If it inteferes with the story, then I just go with the author's description. I am sure others do that also, right?? Another thing is, I started reading Dom's stories two months ago. ITFB was the first story I read. Then I began reading the others one after the other. I was captivated by Dennis and Travis as characters who were misunderstood; there was so much more to them than what others saw. I see some of that in Milo and Seth. As a result, in my crazy head I attempted to have them all look alike (brown hair, brooding good looks). So here I am forcing my imaginations on you guys. Is this weird?
  13. Could this be Nelson? What do you guys think? All the same Model. Ok I am done for today
  14. MikeL - Yeah I know, but I don't like stout. Also am not too keen on blonds so I picuture all Dom's characters as brunnettes (except for Owen and Rory, I am willing to overlook their blondness) As far as Milo, I think he had "longish" hair. I can't find a good model that looks like my Nelson and Travis ......Someone help !!!!
  15. Here it is again My link there's the link if you can't see it
  16. And here is a possible Taylor My link
  17. Here's my Assface. This is one of the characters that I wont let my imaginations take over. I'll take Dom's description and run with it. I like him, just like I grew to love Dennis.
  18. This is my Milo and Seth: My link Ryan Donowho
  19. Davy - Thanks for your insight above. I now see how much of a catalyst the note was for Milo's "turnaround" to being the protector of Nelson's reputation. It was the public kiss and holding of hands that did not sit well with me. I found it hard to accept such a forceful coming out even if it is to protect someone you love. It just seems out of character for Milo given his past behavior. Sure he has grown, but I could only think that Milo (my understanding of him, at least) would feel that just showing up with Nelson in the parking lot was enough to cast doubt in the public's perception of Nelson's perversion; people would begin to question the truthfullness of the rumours if they see Milo still being friends with Nelson. I know it is a rather small point and in no way does it diminishes the beauty of the story. If anything, it makes me love Milo even more but the public kiss just bothered me.
  20. Great Chapter. I love Milo even more now that he seems to be on a role reversal with Nelson; now he is the one trying to love/protect Nelson. One thing that did not sit well with me was Milo's sudden public acknowledgement of his love for Nelson. It just seemed a little over-the-top because Milo's was built up as the deeply closeted type (much like Dennis in ITFB). I did not see that coming. I think all Nelson wanted was just to know that Milo feels as strongly about him as Nelson does about Milo. I guess that this is one of the drawbacks to the first-person narrative. I would have really loved to see the feelings/reasons/motivations behind Milo and Jame's actions. Having said that, I can't wait until the next chapter.
  21. Sometimes a story or rather a chapter can become long and tedious. That's when I like to skim through to the end of the chapter or story. As far a the death of the protaganist is concerned: I would be disturbed but a little less so if, in the epilogue, you will include how he/she is doing in heaven.
  22. Another great Chapter Duncan. As always your writing is so moving. Matt's predicament/emotions/self-contempt is just heartbreaking. Just great to see him actually realizing his true worth and defending himself against Scott and Josh's well-placed but deeply flawed "fear" of Matt's "relationship" with Luc. We are still with you. Keep on writing !!!!! Ronald
  23. Earlier in the story Milo told Nelson that Thompson Trust never goes upstairs. Why would he go up on the very day Milo has Nelson up there? I share everyone else's opinion that Jame is the one who had something to do with that. In the text, I recall Nelson having a passing thought while looking at Milo's dark house from the outside before he went in to spend the night. He noticed a light on that did not seem to come from Milo's room. Could that have been Jame sneaking in and hiding then directing Mr. Trust 's attention to what was going on???? Also.....Many people have speculated on Jame's "supposed" attraction to Milo; that he wants Milo sexually and thinks Nelson is in the way. I tend to disagree with this. As Milo has himself pointed out, James is actually a good and trusted friend. It is rather possible that Jame has Milo's best interest at heart. It's probably a twisted interest since he probably thinks he is doing a good thing by outing Nelson and leaving Milo safe. Perhaps Jame's intention were good. I refrain from drawing conclusions about Dom's characters. Look at Kyle from ITFB. His interest/protectiveness towards Travis was strange but non-sexual. We all had to do a 180 on Seth in DD. Who would have thought John Gordon would shoot one son to protect the boyfriend of his other son? Melissa ( I think that was Quinn's ex-girlfriend's name) tried to help Quinn later on in the story. We saw both the caring side of Quinn's mom as well as the stubborn side. I guess I could go on and on. My point is that Dom's characters are not in black and white. So I am curious to see how this Jame angle will play out also. I can't wait to see the next chapter. I hesitated for months to read With Trust. I tried the first chapter and decided I didn not like it. I tried to ignore in whenever I came to this site. But after reading chapter 15 and 16, I got hooked and decided I needed to read the whole story. I am debating whether I should make this my favorite Dom story
  24. Hi - Does anyone have any idea when we are going to see the next chapter ??? You know I joined here only because of this story and here I am waiting. Been enjoying some other stories but nothing compares to Duncan's stories !!!!! Ahhhhhhh the wait !!!! This is why I never watch soaps or other tv serials. I cant stand the wait. Just give me start to finish in one sitting and I will be cool
