Eukaryotes are multicellular organisms. The first life forms were prokaryotes. I am American -- Californian (for now -- 6 months and counting, baby!) Anyways, my dad's grandfather was the first on that side of the family to be born in the U.S. They were Polish. My dad's father married a woman from a very German family. Those were interesting family reunions. lol. My mom's side of the family we know has some Native American, because there's notes in old family records about "Wild Man Bill" who ran off with an "Indian" and was disowned. We think this is one of the guys who helped settle Washington State, but we're not sure. We also know that there's a big chunk of Irish from my mom's side. My sister is the only one in 3 generations to get the red hair, but we've definitely got the tempers, fair skin, and freckles! lol. Yep, pretty much we're mutts on my mom's side.

The first thing that comes to mind is that Beyonce song they did in the first season of Glee. I laughed so freakin hard! Now I can't hear that song on the radio without thinking about the show. I am one of those folks who loves Gravitation. *blushes* shh! don't tell! I don't generally care for anime, so that one sneaked up on me and my friends tease me to no end. Favorite song: "What do you want from me" (however that's spelled) by the to-die-for sexy Adam Lambert. He's so tall, it's unreal. I was unimpressed by the awards show performance he gave after his loss on American Idol, but I just fell in love with this song and now I'm a fan. Favorite movie: "Parting Glances" Favorite book: Crossing Borders Favorite TV show: American version of Queer as Folk. I agree that Hunter's part was messed up. They could've done so much with that. I also disliked the overall ending, but then I'm a sucker for happy endings. The British version was neat in so many ways, but ... I dunno. Maybe I'm too American. lol.

I've gone by the nickname KC since I was ... um, 13ish? I played on a baseball team named for the Royals and loved it. Didn't part with that hat until it practically fell apart on my head. Then I got a new one. lol Anyway, recently when setting up an online account I've been more in touch with my adult self and the fact that I'm weeks away from earning my teaching credential, so "sensei" feels right. My kids called me "Teacher" because that's the respectful thing to do in the Hispanic community. I feel that, regarding my own sexuality and gender I'm a little lost, wandering around in the dark. That, combined with my hidden love for writing homoerotica, and the fact that plain ol' "sensei" was already taken, birthed Dark Senseii there ... and now it's just Dark. Besides, the Dark Side is way more fun.

I think it's a first impression kind of thing. You see the truck nuts and think instantly about what you imagine they say about the guy's personality. Like, I'm thinking probably a crude sense of humor, somebody who thinks potty jokes and curse words make for great entertainment, like watching Ben Stiller movies. I'm not the kind of person who enjoys that, so it's a turn-off for me. I think it only makes sense that your attraction went away, because it was based on what you imagined to be true at the time (your visual appreciation at the gym) and now reality butted its ugly head into fantasy. That's all. Only thing, though, is are you sure it was his truck and he wasn't borrowing someone else's? It's a long-shot, but ....

The only thing better than an October birthday would be being born on Friday the 13th. psh! I was a few years early/late for that -- dude, born on a Wednesday. Lame. LOL

I dunno. I get weirded out when strangers randomly hug me as a greeting. I've only seen girls kissing like that as non-sexual/friendly in the movies or on TV, and guys never. Where in real life is this supposed to be happening?

There are lists like this on the web, if a person just takes the time to look for them. I love all the different variations of "English." Those beer commercials for how you supposedly say different things in "Australian" just crack me up. Even in the US people tend to forget that there are different dialects. For example, on one coast you typically say "coke" and on the other "soda" and both are referring to soft drinks in general rather than a specific brand. It's been a long time since I was in the UK. I remember thinking it was especially funny when the new girl in the class was introduced as Laurie. ("Lorry" being a truck). I'm sure we could get a good dialogue going on here about the different ways to say stuff.
