Hehe, I'm glad you liked it. Writing Siggi is lots of fun. If I was mean I would just leave him like this forever so I could get endless amusement with his lines, but fortunately I actually care about plot/character development...A "rehabilitation" will depend largely on what you consider this "rehab" to be, or how much "rehab" is "enough rehab". Everyone is going to change and grow as the story progresses (that's part of the reason it's written in first person by two different people), but which direction this change takes is, well... "secret of state" so to speak And yes, Dmitri might as well be in permanent state of arousal, but I won't say much until the next chapter shows up. It's still somewhat on the paranoid side, but if you're 15 and is absolutely horrified of the possibility of having children, you can't be too careful... Emma and Edward are still children. There's so much pressure out there for men to "man up" and not show their grieving (or general emotions) that the way Mr Smith dealt with it got its fair share of criticism. Siggi is a bit of an ass, yeah. He needs to learn a couple of things about standard human decency. Yes, everything concerning Eiríkur was a bit sudden ("Ei" ir pronounced like the "ay" in May, and the "i" sounds like "ee". Hope that helps with pronunciation...). There is obviously a reason for this (imagine the giant plot hole there would be otherwise! XDD), but now is not the moment to talk about it.
