    chapter seventeen

I really thought I had already responded to your comment. Maybe it was that I had mentally considered a response and got distracted. I am surprised to see no response from me here. Yeah, I agree with you, Daniel's profession, coupled with their location, will add a dampener to their flames of passion. Add all that to Daniel's hurtful memories and it's clear they won't be sharing the same address anytime soon. That's not to say things won't get hot 'n heavy occasionally.? My current opinion of religion as a whole is not very flattering. Organized religion kept me/allowed me to hide my true self for far too many years. In my mind "organized" just equates to richer. I hesitated responding to your comment only because there is more to be revealed. Even now my fingers itch to just blurt it out. I can say that there has been a hint or two. Thanks again for posting your comments, they always make me think. Jim

    chapter seventeen

Well thank you for your kind remarks. I felt very good about having written this particular chapter, but then again, I am a crusty old romantic. And of course thank you for posting your comments. Jim

I am particularly pleased with this chapter... not sure why, I just am. I think Daniel is trying not invest too much emotionally until he is convinced of Raymond's intentions. This is going to be an uphill battle for Raymond. But then again, every man appreciates a challenge. Let's just hope Daniel doesn't make it too difficult for Raymond. Thanks for the post. Jim

LOL! You don't have to look too far back within this story for comparison to show what a good job Jay T does. He definitely contributed to making this a better chapter. Thanks for posting your comment. Jim

    chapter seventeen

The best laid plans of mice and men oft go awry. In Danny's defense he was under the influence of to many fizzy water and lime beverages. Thank you for posting your comment. Jim

    chapter seventeen

Thank you again for posting your comments. I am a little surprised that Raymond and Daniel had so much to. I am sure we will hear more from them. Jim
  12. Danny was sure the big man shrank even as he turned away. He couldn't explain it but the big guy reminded him of a scolded puppy. Regretting his harshness, Danny reached out and grabbed his arm, saying, “Where are you going? I thought you brought me a drink. The least you can do is stay and talk a while.” Instead of relief, as he expected, Danny saw confusion on Raymond's face. He pushed on, “Look, Jeff's Uncle, er, uh your Uncle Joe had a talk with me yesterday. He said it was your recommendati

I replied to this comment in a message. Short version is Thanks I agree and I fixed it. Most important is thank you for wanting to make this story better for the next reader. Jim

    Chapter 10

Again, I just found your post. Thanks for pointing out the was/were error. I agree with you and I fixed it. I take occasional liberties with the vernacular, given the locale. We tend to slip sometimes when we are back home, even if we know better. I try to be careful when anyone speaks in a professional tone, obviously I missed that one. I like it that you want this story to be better for the next reader. Thanks again, Jim

Again, I just found your post while making sure none were overlooked. Thank you for pointing out the was/were error. I agree with you and I fixed it. I do take some liberties with vernacular, given the locale. We tend to slip a bit when we're back home... even if we know better. Thanks for posting your comments and thanks for wanting to be better for the next reader. Jim

    Chapter 8

I just stumbled across your comment. Please don't think you were being intentionally ignored. I love the idea of someone reading one of my stories while sipping on a glass or two or more as long as their is no driving involved. As to grammar... I hate it when the flow is interrupted by inept grammar and punctuation. Both of which, I most humbly admit, I am guilty. I do apologize. If you can hold out I get a really good editor before chapter 15. Thanks for taking your time to post a comment. Jim

    Chapter 4

I was checking to make sure I had responded to all comments when I found yours. By now, you know your hunch has been verified, Tom is indeed a good man. The waitress, Julie, is a character that showed up in T. R.'s Tale and insisted on being heard. She is all time trying to tell people what they need to know. Some only realize it after the fact. Thanks for posting your comments, Jim

    Chapter sixteen

I remember when my oldest son was having a friend for a sleepover, he asked, "Dad, can y'all keep the noise down after you go to bed. It's kind of embarrassing." My jaw was on the floor. It's funny looking back. Not so, at the moment. Thanks for posting a comment and thanks for the memory. Jim

    Chapter sixteen

I don't think there was a gay version of Dallas. I would have watched it. Of course Maria will ask her questions at the most inopportune time. I could have based her on my middle son who seemed, at her age, dedicated to asking "why?" Constantly. I think most people are "romantic" it's the only way to explain the whole dating thing. How else can we justify the billion dollar unofficial holiday Valentine's Day? Rest assured you are not alone. I always go for the HEA. Again Thanks for posting your comments. They get me to thinking. Jim

    Chapter sixteen

Yeah, Maria has quite the fan base. She seems to be at times profound and seconds later, hilarious. As for Raymond and Danny... that will be an interesting "little dance" to choreograph. Wish me luck. Jim
