What a ride! I must admit, though, I'm finding it hard to believe it can all be wrapped up in one chapter. I can't wait to see how it ends.
-
2 chapters in less than one year! Seriously, Comsie, you've outdone yourself! I remember reading the first 6ish chapters on Nifty about 15 years ago... it's got to be a tough story to write.

I had a feeling Julian's bruises weren't from his sister. One of my friends has twins that fight like this, but they don't leave welts.

Oh, no! You can't stop there... great characters and a great start to a story...

This story is really starting to grow on me. Here's to Part B!

60 - Dinner Negotiations
Bill Corley commented on James Hiwatari's story chapter in 60 - Dinner Negotiations
So happy to see this story pop up again! I've missed Siggi and Gunni's saga... here's to regular updates; thank you! -
Damn. This is some heavy shit. I love that the characters in this story aren't simple and one-dimensional. It's rare to find a story whose ending can't be guessed in advance. I can't wait to see what happens next!

The two guards were _chasing_ him with the intent to capture. Killing them in close quarters combat, like he did with the 4 punks who attacked him in Chapter 4, was "easy". Mike shot him in the shoulder, and then in both kneecaps, from a distance. Not sure how anyone defends against that.

Ever more interesting. I have a feeling that we're about to see a new twist coming, though...

Here Comes the Thunder
Bill Corley commented on ValentineDavis21's story chapter in Here Comes the Thunder
When I first read about Danni killing the goons his father sent, I assumed it was via some kind of telekinesis, but I guess I was wrong. Where did Danni get the knowledge of lethal personal combat? Will Mike get what's coming to him? I guess we'll see... keep it coming! -
From another math nerd, this is the correct answer. I was about to write something similar, but JaySeale beat me to it.

Damn, but you spin a great tale. It's so hard to wait for new chapters. Part of me wants to wait until it's done, but I'm too impatient.

Continuing to love this story.

Nice how this story is developing. I'm curbing my impatience for the next chapter, reminding myself that good art takes time

Wow. This brought back so many memories. I'm 46 now and married to my husband for 8 years, but I was 30 when I first had sex with a guy... and the circumstances weren't so different. I was in New Orleans for a conference, psyched myself up to go into a bar called the Golden Lantern, and picked up a guy and took him back to my hotel room. I don't think I've ever been so drunk in my life (well, since I left collage anyway) but I was hard as a rock the whole time. I remember thinking (I'd had sex with 2 women at this point in my life) "so that's how good it's supposed to feel..."

Ahh, Zach. So hard to recognize the reality of abuse. Let's hope Brody and the rest of the crew find someone to reach out to.

Chapter 4 - The New Arrivals
Bill Corley commented on Comicality's story chapter in Chapter 4 - The New Arrivals
Just saw this story for the first time. It's off to a good start. Good characters; I look forward to seeing what happens to them. -
Thank you for writing this wonderful story, Parker. It's going to be tough not having Andy's story to look forward to twice a week, but we'll manage. Hopefully this will be just the first of many great novels we'll get to read from you.

Chapter 65 Taken Away
Bill Corley commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in Chapter 65 Taken Away
And our lovebirds finally get what's coming to them. Boy it's hard to believe it hasn't even been a year yet since A started his journey... -
Chapter 64 What I Remember
Bill Corley commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in Chapter 64 What I Remember
Thanks for confirming my suspicion that the last chapter was Andy waking up at Eustace's cabin. I don't think I could have taken an abduction. A bittersweet chapter, being the climax. Now a gentle denouement before the ending... -
Chapter 63 Apprehension
Bill Corley commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in Chapter 63 Apprehension
Another cliffhanger!?! We're left wondering why Andy is sleeping, *alone*, in an unheated room on a thin mattress only a day after his wedding. It can't be jail, because I don't think a jail would have wooden floors. So where?!? Wow, we'll have to wait until next week to find out. -
Chapter 58 Discovered
Bill Corley commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in Chapter 58 Discovered
It was a long time coming, but I had a feeling Ambrose hadn't given up the search. After Zander and Andy meet Eustace, there are only a couple of questions left: 1) Who murdered Andy's Dad? 2) Will Uncle Ray go on trial for his rape and abuse of Andy? 3) Whatever happened to James Fucking Ackerman? 4) How will these new revelations affect the folks at CPS? 5) What will happen when Andy re-enters Carlsberg? I'd love to see a reunion between Andy and JFA. Somehow I don't think he'll be very intimidating to the confident, athletic Andy... What a great story. Thanks again for writing it! -
It's true that in most states, getting married leads to what's called "automatic emancipation" meaning that Andy and Zander would be adults in the eyes of the law (although minimum ages for voting and drinking remain), but all states require that the parents or legal guardians consent in order for a minor to get married, so I'm not sure how this would work. Strictly speaking, Garrett and Monica are not Andy's legal guardians - they only have temporary conservatorship - Judge Harrison is actually the legal guardian who would have to agree to allow this to move forward. This might cause issues for him if he assented and FPS made the argument that the entire thing was a charade to avoid FPS involvement. A very tangled web, Parker. Can't wait to see how it plays out.

There's something else going on here. I think Ms. Chandler is going to do some more digging. I fear she will discover the Carlsberg connection. If Judge Harrison's "discreet" inquiries don't get a result soon, Ms. Chandler's overt ones will, which could lead to real trouble for Andy... there's still a lot to resolve before this is done.
