I can neither confirm nor deny that the name of the first single may or may not possibly be "Dancing on a Pole-star." May be as well may not be written by Gaga and @Comicality -

Look for it in a certain underground music store in Chicago in 2020. You may regret it in hindsight if you don't wear a C on your jack off hand. I can't tell you more than that, finding the store is part of the challenge. -

I'd be jumping to the other side of the room. "J- j- j- just take the bed! I'm good over here." #gold star gay -
Oh, and... The article was informative. It gave ne ideas. Wish I had written them down before that squirrel ran by and distracted me. Thank you Comsie

I'm beginning to think he has some "butterfly" effect ability to remember alternate timelines, somehow connected to these mysterious notebooks he hoards. Spend 6 hours writing on paper about GFD, then go back and spend 6 on NKIS. But like all powers it has imperfections and limits. Firstly, it's tied to PAPER notebooks. it wouldn't give him extra time to type. Secondly, limits. It's Comsie so... It's probably tied to orgasms. And if a given orgasm isn't intense enough FAIL. No extra time. Perhaps load volume is a factor. That would limit the frequency too. Chaffing. Need I say more? This sort of power is a function of consciousness, not physical travel, so there's still only 1 man. even if it works and he got extra time to write things down he would still have to deal with every Interruption every time. He can't go all Groundhog Day, because he can't risk drawing attention. every Interruption, every time, in the same way. Still have to cook, eat, shit, shower, whatever, every loop. Probably a mental fatigue limit too. And a risk of migraines. And all the other trials of writing. And the extra "fun" of being "Comicality" see: you'd think this would be easy in his board. But yeah. Super power. Standard blessing and curse clause. Did I mention he still had to type things because only the paper notes and memory persist? And uh... just maybe... a libido related power gets hard- more difficult, to use under stress and perhaps as the years mount... *ahem* Just my theory.

Why not a punishment that can be repeated. Immolation only works once. It need not be violent. Strap them down and pry their eyes open so they can't look away from bad movies. Or cover there ears from bad music. Or escape a menu of food based on reruns of "fear factor" Or the complete works of Charles Dickens, read by text to speech synthesizer. -

I predicted it was chloroform. Other than that... I've had vivid fantasies (as in I've never done it) involving Benadryl.- 1 reply

This is not Comicality, inc. This is not Studio Comicality. There's one man, one keyboard, and 24 hours per day. What is your day like? There's activities of daily living There's work There's commuting Food Sleep Cleaning Laundry Rest Interruptions Bills Budgeting I could go on. How often do any of us get left alone a few hours at a time? Can anyone claim they can always quiet the mind and choose what they concentrate on? Pick and choose their emotional state to resonate with a particular story, a specific scene? Find the right words at the right time, every time? Mhmm. Exactly. You want <insert story> right now? Lo! Behold! Let there be fanfiction! Too much work? No free time? Nothing sounds the way you want? Struggling to find ideas? Be organized? Stay focused? Life in the way? Welcome to writing. Writing gets better with practice, it doesn't get EASIER. In my opinion, the deep dark middle of a story is MORE difficult than the beginning. My challenge to all: Wake up, get dressed, eat a meal you cooked, sit in a car half an hour, do something tedious, complex, and tiring, for 8 hours, sit in a car another thirty minutea, cook again, do some chores, watch the news... And then try to continue that fanfic. Do that for a week. Multiply it by thirty or forty stories, expand it to 21 years, season liberally with all the best and worst shit to happen to everyone you know. Because life still happens to writers. Now add hundreds, maybe thousands, of fans, needing 1000 words of attention each, every month. Add all the worst ridicule you can imagine. There are people that cast stones at a 30 something guy writing about teenagers that have sex. Oh... Is that fanfic done yet? I'm waiting... Now, imagine that you have to keep doing all of it if you want to finish a 3000-5000 word chapter. Because if you stop any one part you could end up inflicting pain on someone whom, for whatever reason, is deeply invested in the sunbeam or whatever of seeing you replied to them. Imagine what it might be like to write about the kind of situations Com's characters go through with such depth. Imagine readers at home going "he understands" or "I didn't think it happened to anyone else." And then emailing YOU. "You don't know me but I just read <story>. And you really got it right when you wrote about <insert>." * Physical abuse * sexual abuse * bullying * depression * suicidal ideation * other and then: "I know you did because... I've never told anyone this but... <insert> happened and this is how." Any email, any time, could contain someone else's deepest pain. And they deserve a reply. Could you take on that? Let that all sink in. Read all of this again, slowly. Picture every detail as much as you can. Now: Could you do it? Would you do it? For free? Now: Aren't you grateful Comicality does? I know I am. Oh and... Seriously? It's been 5 minutes, why isn't that fanfic done? What are you doing? I'm waiting! ** Personally, I think being grounded ONLY ONE week is generous. -
Love that series. *dives for book 1* Drat! #I should be writing

My attention is on resuming work on chapters. And plugging holes. *snicker* (Alas for geographical impossibility) But, heading into halved hours at work, (damn summer) so I'll need something to keep me out of trouble. 0.0 *blink* *rereads* To paraphrase avenue Q: "Everyone's a little bit pervert." (According to somebody) *mic drop*

I'm working on that one. Happy to see you @Comicality More later. Probably. Maybe. Theoretically. *shrug*

Suddenly the chatter and noise around them cut through the pounding of his heart. In public! Peter straightened about half a second before Aiden would've leaned back. He felt like his face was burning again. He couldn't look around, he needed to hide his face, but there had to be people looking. Some of those whispers had to be about them. He stood up, grabbed Peter by the strap of his bag and started off. He sped up as much as the crowd would let him. When he'd put a few hundred yards, and

Hmm. Comsie version of Adele. Sums up his tone well in Don't Tell Me. Love that we don't see who answers the door. -

You are entirely off the hook. My brain did that all by itself. You'd be surprised what jewels one can find in the gutter. Then again, maybe you wouldn't be. Further again, getting out of the gutter means a shower, and I don't know anybody who doesn't love a steamy shower scene. look at that, I'm right back in. maybe the awfulness of that song triggered a defense mechanism. -
Hehehe, seriously...

what I meant about legal autonomy was, for example, a legal adult can leave and go to a shelter without being dragged back by cops as a runaway. Shrug. I agree with you. If Comsie wants to explore some more of the adult dynamics of this world, I'd plant my ass in the front row.

I was right there with you, but the startling change from normal Comsie POV characters is part of why the twists work so well. Just wait, there are better in the Blood Bank vault.
-
If you could access the Bank, you'd find GFD has it's share of adult protagonists. I think they are rarer in Com's fiction only because his focus is on LGBT youth issues and first loves. Adults, with legal autonomy and greater resources have a different experience. But, Com himself can weigh in at leisure. EDIT: the written word's the lack of infection has caught up with me again. this may seem more harsher than it was intended. Bank = GFD Blood Bank a site of Com's dedicated to spin offs and fanfiction. Including Com's own additions. It's currently off-line due to reasons beyond the control of Com.

I wrote this for the Blood bank in Jan, but last I saw it was awaiting approval. I didn't trust the comment system so I copied it down.
