  1. Is it just me or someone else is smelling tempest too? The latest chapter was too serene to last. Personally, I would really like to know how the situation ends with Darius.....didn't anyone except Will & JJ talk to him? And, Will and John? Shouldn't we be clamouring for details?
  2. Happy birthday Mark!
  3. last post was on 7th. today's 10th. Is Mark going to compensate for the cyclonic posting? Oh God I hope not.
  4. Ah, nearing the halcyon days............perhaps it wont last long, it's CAP world after all. A soothing chapter, ends quite well, so all was well, perhaps. I am happy for Will, but this means the intervals between chapters is going to get longer. Sad, sad. This conflict was masterfully captured, and it is probably the first father-son open warfare in CAP, refreshing after a long string of problems between partners. Now I am waiting for Robbie and Will to work it out, and mildly curious to know if Will read Darius correctly; and in a milder way, about Jeff. What is his deal ?
  5. Seems we are going to have relatively calmer waters ahead. Perhaps the posts here would be less fun in here. But it would be rather unsettling until this issue is resolved, and I hope we get 3 chapters a week until then.
  6. I really don't understand how supporting Will when he was right could be enabling him. Some say it makes a child disregard the parents, but the alternative is capable of smashing said kid's spine. If Will IS right, supporting him is also right.....and Stef did not do it to create a rift between Will and Brad. To do so, Stef would have to be really devoid of concern for either, which I believe is not the case. Will's behaviour to the parents has not been ideal for some time, but it was never illogical. Yes, disobedience is something parents never stand well, but at the same time Brad cannot help being labelled as hypocrite. He might thank his stars that JP was not a parent like him.
  7. oh, wishful thinking! but I guess I could get by with that.........were it really to happen. By the way, does anyone know how Stef knew the psycho's name?
  8. Did Will mail those pictures or simply stored them in the computer? I'm rather fogged on this. And, I don't think he planned on being AWOL for a long period of time, I hope he makes it unscathed out of Hawaii. It would be real crazy if he ends up with the parents again, since they've proven themselves to be totally incapable of raising children
  9. A magnificently vivid chapter. I, for one would just love to know the fathers' reaction. And to leave the chapter on such a note is torturous! Can't we get the 32nd a little sooner? Please?
  10. A well-written chapter, which makes the interval till the next one seem like the lifetime of Methuselah! If the next one is narrated by Wade, it will just be icing on the cake! I wish Ryan had behaved like less-of-an-asshole, after all, Will got into the soup to save him,,,a little gratitude wouldn't have been amiss. I know he is freaked out right at the moment and will come round, still. The parents' reaction does not come as a total shock, but that does not make it fair. Will must be feeling pretty indignant that he was not even asked what HAD happened.........they're doling out punishments rather freely, in light of the fact that the offence they assumed he committed wasn't his......and giving him the clear message that they did not trust him. Seeing that he was already smarting from their inattentive behaviour, this only smears a generous amount of insult to that injury. No wonder he reacted accordingly, and the steps Brad & Robbie are taking to show him his place as they think may seem ridiculous to us, but they are sure to be hits below the belt to a 14 year old. It seems that Robbie bites a lot when someone shows him to be in fault; he seemed to get Will's take on things before- but after Will snapped at him he's supporting Brad unequivocally. Seems nails and hammers will be required to put some common sense into them. I'd like to know, soon, what happens next. By the way, it says on the story note that there might be a third narrator of the story. I'm curious to know if that is going to happen. And I will be sorry if Will loses some credits over this suspension. And, lastly, there seems to be no point in praising Mark Arbour's penmanship (or rather, keyboardmanship?) with a lot of adjectives. It's effects are strewn all over this forum. We readers are actually thinking about characters as real persons among us and trying to imagine what will happen next, writing lengthy and emotional reviews. Just calling his characters realistic and vivid; his writing style gripping and wonderful- seems somewhat inadequate. He is a master. Cheerio! (It calls for constant vigilance to use the word 'will' in any post regarding Paternity)
  11. it's something, at least. would like to know when it's evened out.
  12. My heart bleeds for Will, and it's good to see that the clear-thinking people thinking him right; though there is no escaping the fact that he is being bratty, but that's part of being a teen-ager. Seems Gathan & Kristin have made up but the last chapter was not very clear on this topic. Wade seems a little too detached from others around him; and Paternity has most chapters from his POV. Personally I'd have liked some more chapters from Will's POV, and to know how Wade interacts with Riley.......there are not many father-son moments in the story, just here & there Wade saying he spent some time with him. I wish we had more than 2 chapters of Paternity a week, since the 6th installment of Bridgemont is on hold.
  13. does anyone know how far along the way she is? can't do a timeline before we know that
  14. to end the chapter on such a note was cruelty to animals!! I sure am gonna eat all my nails & pluck all my hairs if the next chapter isn't posted soon................so please, please hurry up.
  15. no need to, is there? despite his tantrums, I like JJ...........he seems to be such a baby at times.........is endearing, or so I think.
  16. ha! this forum is almost frozen. I was wondering...........could we get more than 2 chapters a story per week? I get.........low on sustenance.
  17. Chapter 32 is startlingly good, or so I felt. It was well written (no images:which I prefer), and really touching. It will be interesting to know what's gonna happen now, I personally am full of speculation.
