Knots Chapter 9 Thomas’ Day in Court Continued D.A. Wheeler took a quick glance at the jury after Thomas’ last answer, noticed the look on their faces, paused, and said, “No more questions.” Judge Fienberg looked at the defense table. “Are you ready?” Banta rose. “Yes, Your Honor.” “Thomas, Mr. Wheeler asked you if you were gay and you said you hadn’t experienced anything else. Glad to hear you are finding the story keeps taking turns. I've grown to like Thomas too. I have plans for him and one of the other boys, but I'm sure you'll end up being surprised who it is. Somehow they will have to find a way to have some sex, but their parents are so upset, who knows how they'll get away with it. But I'm sure they are resourceful enough to figure out a way.

Sometimes guys do the damndest things in the locker room. I saw a lot of it when I was a kid and it's probably worse now because kids are more open about things. I can see where a woman would be surprised at what guys do in the locker room or when they're just goofing around. The guys kissing in jest is something crazy guys would do because they don't figure anyone will think they're gay.

Things are rough for Matt. You're right. These scenes were hard to right because each boy finds himself in a different position. Matt hasn't told anyone he's have sex with guys and Andy already said he was gay. It ends up being easier on him except at school where he's told no one but his close friend.

Lisa, I call myself uplifted spirit because while I know terrible things happen in life, sometimes it's important to have people who love us and carry us over the rough spots. I thought it a good idea of have parents who had concerns, but were supportive. Thanks for your comments.

Astro I never like to make things happen the way people might expect. It was a powerful scene when Andy testified that Matt and given his virginity to him to keep him from killing himself. List may be right. How can the defense argue against that. But the defense is going to fight back by recalling Matt. Who knows what will happen then. Thanks for writing and being a good follower.

Lisa You're so right about the parents. It's going to be fun writing about that. Then of course there are all the friends at school who had no idea what was going on with these guys. I picture a few closet cases hitting on them when they get back to school while others will want to kick there asses, especially since they had a foursome. There is so much that can happen. Thomas is a lovable character. He and Randy had been good friends since they were very young and of course Randy wasn't the way he is now before Dillon. His bitterness is coming out. The court scenes have been very enjoyable to write. Thanks for the nice comment about it being like watching an episode of Law and Order SVU

Astro, thanks for the comment. The next chapter was hard to write for two reasons. First, I added a little sex and I always worry that it will distract readers from the story line, but hopefully I made it work. Second, I had to decide how the defense was going to bring out facts that Andy and the boys didn't want to talk about. Then I had to decide how DA Wheeler would counter. Let me know if you think the ending works.
