    Chapter 13

Lisa Thanks for the review. I wish more people would do it. I'll have to admit, I had a lot of trouble deciding what to do with old lady Crawford. She finally did keep her mouth shut and just listen. And as you know, characters in a story don't always do what we expect. You're right. She should have kept her opinions to herself. But it is a small school with only one counselor so that's who they're stuck with. I supposed I should have pointed that out. You're right about empathy and that's what I was shooting for as I wrote. so had her back off and give Andy and Randy a chance to get people headed in the right direction. She sure wasn't going to do it. This was a hard chapter to write because I wanted there to be conflict between Mrs. Crawford and Andy and Randy, but not so much that everyone walked out. Of course, the principal would have been all over her if the boys complained. This partially explains her change of attitude. Thanks again for your review. Uplifted Spirit

    Chapter 13

Matt Coach Gilbert called the four of us into his office. We figured he was going to give us a warning after hearing what happened that morning. He smiled to set us at ease. “Relax. You’re not in trouble. I talked to your teammates and explained what we agreed to at the parents’ meeting. They understand that if they bully or harass you in any way, they won’t dress for the next game, and will have to sit in the stands. I talked to Coach Mills, and he assured me he had talked t

    Chapter 12

The Principal’s Office Andy, Matt, Thomas, and Randy joined up when they got off the bus. Groups of students were standing in the halls talking as the boys headed to the principal’s office. Three older boys surrounded them. Jasper moved in close. “Well, if it isn’t the four cocksuckers.” Jason pointed at the bruise on Andy’s face. “What happened? Did Dillon get a little rough when he was fucking you?” Matt shoved Jason back. “Get lost assholes. We’re

    Chapter 11

Matt That whole Sunday afternoon passed like one long week as I waited for Andy to call. I figured he’d call to tell me how hot the sex was. It was one of those cases where I wanted to hear all about it, just as if he was telling me about the big fish he caught down at the pond or how he got his highest score on Call of Duty. That’s what best friends do. But this was obviously different. We were just finishing dinner when I saw Andy strolling up the walk to our fron

    Chapter 23

Timothy I appreciate your review. I think you can feel safe reading Knots 2. Of course the boys have to fall deeply before they are able to rise out of it. I'm currently writing chapter 11. I like to keep my readers guessing. Heck, I'm always guessing at what will happen next myself. Knots was pretty much written a couple years back. It didn't have an ending. I once read a story called Love Let Me Not Hunger by Paul Gallico where the heroine gave herself to a man to save the circus and everyone's job. I felt bad for her. In Knots, I wanted Matt to give himself to Andy because he feared Andy was ready to kill himself. And for Andy, sex was what he needed. It was a way of showing how much Matt loved Andy. Of course Matt had no idea what the consequences would be. He might not have done it if he knew. A few others have written me concerned about Matt losing his innocence. It bothered me too. At some point, Matt or Andy are talking in Knots 2 and one of them says something like, "Now that we're here, we can never go back." In Knots 2, both boys have to deal with their doubts The theme of unconditional love runs through Knots 2. The two boys have a lot to face and of course much confusion. It's my hope that both boys grow in positive ways as they fight to find their way. I used the following quote at the end of the last chapter. "Man cannot remake himself without suffering, for he is both the marble and the sculptor. ~Dr. Alexis Carre Thanks again for writing a review. Keep on reading.

    Chapter 10

Thomas and Randy Thomas and Randy had planned a bout of sex that Sunday and had begged off on the basketball game. But, while they were fucking missionary style, Randy panted, “Maybe we should find Matt and Andy so they can join us.” Thomas quit moving his dick in and out of Randy’s ass. “I thought we were going to wait until after we got through this coming week of school.” “Kinda, but why wait?” Thomas pushed in again and paused. “Maybe yo

    Chapter 9

Lisa, as usual, you are filled with feelings for the characters. That's the best an author can hope for. I'm glad you liked the poem. I did too and that's why I put it in twice. It's odd how sometimes we can get right inside our characters and feel what they're feeling. The poem made me realize just how much that happened here. But I feel Andy's anxiety too and it sounds like you could feel it because of his pacing, changing his clothes, going to bed, watching porn, and so on until he was exhausted and needed to get out of his room. Thanks for writing a review. You and the reviews are always appreciated. Uplifted Spirit

    Chapter 9

Matt I felt like I was suffocating as soon as I walked into Andy’s room and he locked the door. Andy thought it was Gina, but it was more than that. I wanted get out of there and go home, but I couldn’t tell him or myself why. I just needed to get out. But Andy didn’t give me a chance; he had my shirt up and over my head as I only offered feeble resistance because I wanted to fuck as badly as he did. The unconvincing word rolled out of my mouth. “I’ve got to go.”

    Chapter 8

Andy Matt and I had a lot of fun this morning. We were both too tired to even talk last night when we finally got to bed. It’s not every day a guy tells his parents he’s gay and lied about being raped. I was having a lot of trouble sleeping. Something’s been bothering me. Matt complains when I wake him, but after a little encouragement and some sweet talk, if that’s what you’d call it, I got him a little horny and I answered the call from all his sexy body parts.

    Chapter 7

Dinner with the Parents Neither Matt or Andy were too excited about spending a few hours locked in a restaurant with their parents making small talk. Matt went home to get dressed in slacks and a sport shirt and visit with his parents before going to dinner. They were a little early so they sat around the dining room table to talk. “How’d your week go with Andy?” his father asked. “Great!” “Did you do anything interesting?”
  15. I like this poem because it is so true. It's sad that there are so few real heros. John F. Kennedy wrote a book called Profiles in Courage. It's an old book, but it's still inspiring today because he talks of people who took a stand against the odds. It's a small book and worth reading. Uplifted Spirit
  16. I rarely quit reading a book because I have the need to finish things. But I have quit reading a couple books and it was for either of two reasons: 1. They tell more than show. 2. The story doesn't seem plausable. Uplifted Spirit
  17. I prefer two spaces after a period. I had someone tell me it's not correct anymore, but I find it easier to read at least when you read something like this. I've self-published two books and I only use one space. Part of the reason for that is that books are right justified and it creates odd spacing anyway. Uplifted Spirit
  18. I orignally wrote Knots as a story based on a friendship between two guys who questioned their attraction to each other. It was originally written with just friendship in mind because I wanted to publish it as a mainstream story. Boys look and admire other boys and compare themselves to them. It often makes them feel they might be gay when as many times as not they're aren't. Girls are the same way with other girls. I had my son read the original Knots and it seemed to make him uneasy. I read the first chapter at a writers' conference and got mixed feedback. So I decided to rewrite it and publish it here as a gay story. I'd be glad to send you the original story if you'd like to read it. Uplifted Spirit

    Chapter 6

Lisa, I always appreciate your previews and wish more people would do it. The girls are understanding and it should be expected that they'd be a little more like Andy because they've all had sex with Dillon. Who knows about Matt. When push comes to shove and the opportunity arises, me might join them. He's horny now 24/7 so who knows what may happen. But they all have a tough week ahead of them and sex will be their only escape. Not sure that helps them deal with the issues, but we'll see. Uplifted Spirit

    Chapter 6

Matt I walked quickly down the trail to our bikes. Andy kept talking while he tried to catch up with me. “Come on, Matt. Slow down. I just wanted you to know how fucked up I am. You’re my best friend. What happened to that unconditional love you promised? What’s the matter, is it too hard for you? Thinking about these things, telling you about them, and fighting my demons is not the same as cheating on you. It’s just hard to forget the past. Do you think you cou

Edward Thanks for writing a review. You're right about them tying another knot. Your other point about consensual sex is a good one. Can we make informed and clear decisions or give our complete consent when our passions are aroused? Good questions.

    Chapter 5

Lisa Monday could be a tough day. And it will even be worse if Andy and Matt and Andy's relationship is falling apart. Let's hope they resolve their issues. We can never put the images we have in our minds about the things in our lives no matter how hard we try. Maybe we can stop them for a time, but they can come back so easily. I guess that's why we need to be careful about the way we live our lives.

Matt We lay on the shower floor in each others arms longer than we would have normally because the Gibson’s have an on-demand hot water heater and we could have laid their forever. But like I said, we laid there until our passion subsided and only the love remained. But looking back on it now, I’m wonder if it was really love. I once read a story that made me think about the relationship between sex and love. One of the characters said, “I don’t want you to tell me you love me ju

    Chapter 4

Andy I said a bunch of things to Matt that hurt him. At first I saw it on his face, but when he jumped on the bed and slapped me a couple times, I knew I’d pissed him off. It all started because I kept on about a foursome with Randy and Thomas. I couldn’t help it for some reason. The idea of it gave me a perpetual hard-on. You’d think Matt would have been hot for the idea given that he’d been horny 24/7 since Monday. It’s hard to believe it was only Wednesday and we’d been havi
