  1. "When it all came down to it, the decision was simple. Kyle or Chase. Each had their pros and each had their cons. In the end, or what I thought was the end, I picked Chase".....direct quote....does this mean what I think it means? Could it be the time in Coop and Kyle's journey that they finally come together again? My heart broke and broke again as I read this chapter. Coop is right tho. If Chase wants to be with him then he needs to be there for him. Chace knows what is going on with him and that Coop is dangling by a shredded thread and really needs the support. Coop has the support of his friends but what he really needs is the support of the one person he loves and that should be there for him. Where is that person?? Off taking care of his ex-husband and catering to his every need. I am not belittling what Chace is doing as it is commentable but if Coop is his your future lies then he is the one that you should be there for and not someone that shows no signs of changing and is threatening your current. There comes a point and time in everyones life that they have to decided what is important to them and who is the most important. It is at that point that your actions will speak louder than words. Chace's actions are screaming that although he loves Coop, of that I have no doubt, but that his loyalties still lies with Morgan. In a sense, with Chace's actions, I feel like Coop is nothing more then a fairy tale that Chace wants to live in and become real but he just can't let go of the past (Morgan) to and fully and completely commit to Coop. Coop's choices are his own and in his own admission he did not do any of this for Chace but it cannot be denied that Chace was a part of it. It cannot be ignored that while Coop has made some very hard and life changing decision, without the help Chace, Chace has made little to none. A wife, a home, a life, nearly his friends and now his children is what Coop has given up (again not all because of Chace but in part). What has Chace given up? At my count Chace had already filed for a divorce long before he ever came back into Coop's life, so he gave nothing up there. Chace is moving his Charity to Dallas so he is giving up the location but still retaining it. He, of his own free will, brought Morgan to Dallas so he could take care of him. Chace had to know the effects this would have on Coop and everything else. Then after Morgan verbally and physically accosted Coop, Chace still dropped everything and ran to him. You can only save someone that wants to be saved. Chace still dropped Coop to run and take care of his ex eventhough his ex shows no signs of stopping his behavior. Again, actions speak louder than words. I am not even going to discuss the situation involving CJ. I'll just say that if I try I will break down and cry again. PS. Sorry my reviews are so long. I guess this story just has me on edge, emotional and reflective.
  2. Does it strike you as funny that in this whole chapter we hear Coop tell Chace that he loves him but Chace never says it back? Why is that??? Could it be that Chace is fighting it but realizing that he will never be able to leave Morgan and have a real relationship with anyone else??? Maybe Chace is realizing that this thing with Coop is a whirlwind romance, an extraordinary reliving of the past and as much as he loves(d) Coop their lifestyles and futures are just too different now. Could it be that Chace is fighting to keep from running at the idea of being a step father? Brit...what a boil on the butt of humanity. Is she really that dumb or just a complete and utter air head? She knew that Coop was going to be at Kyle's party. Just because she is rich does not give her the right to try and crawl up her husband's arse and rip it open. Someone needs to knock her down a peg or two. Sebastian doesn't deserve to be treated that way. He is way too sweet and gentle. Maybe her and Devon need to get together and they can switch on and off with who wears the Dominatricks outfit and gets to use the whips and chains. Ahhh, Kyle...what a sweet and unselfish thing for him to do for Coop. Its his announcement party and even though he is beyond busy with people and trying to keep his head about him he still thinks of Coop. Kyle gave up Sigma initially for Coop. It was only after Coop left Kyle and refuseed to take him back that Kyle went back to the Sigmas. Kyle was there for Coop after Chace abandoned him. He was there when Coop showed him the ring he would use to purpose to Devon. I saw Kyle's reaction. I saw his build up and then utter fall when Coop told him about his plan to purpose to Devon. Kyle left Winston, ok that was a mutual thing as Kyle really did not love him, because he knew that he could only love and be happy with Coop at that moment. At a time when Kyle has to be on his majoy A game he does the most unselfish thing he could and calls Chace to come be with Coop. If there was ever a love that has stood the test it is Kyle's for Coop. I do agree with what Spencer says about IF it was meant to be between Kyle and Coop then it would have already happened...BUT...timing is everything. Sometimes we all need a little more seasoning in life before we are ready to accept and commit to another. Just because you meet someone and love them does not mean that you will be together in that moment in time. As you have so graciously kept pointing out to me, this is a journey and not just a single moment in time. Maybe soon Coop and Kyle's journey will bring them to a time and place that they can finally and happily be together. Maybe soon they will be seasoned enough and they will finally be together. PS. Yes, I still have my team Kyle t-shirt. I may be an old fool who is a a complete sucker for romance and old fashioned love that transcends time but I also believe that Coop is destined to be with Kyle. Their's is a love like no other.
  3. Don't tease me. Are you going to break my heart again? I've still got it...my Team Kyle T-Shirt. I'm still hoping against hope that they get together and STAY together.
  4. You are breaking my heart in two, Jwolf. Its not that I hate Chase. In fact I really like him. As I have read "The List" and up to this point in "The Funny Thing Is" I have grown to love and openly desire for Coop and Kyle to finally drop all the charades and games and just see what is in front of their faces. I, however, see those desires evaporating away like a drop of dew on an early morning rose bloom. Maybe Winston and Chace can get together instead and leave the path open foy my beloved Kyle to finally get with Coop.
  5. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! It aint going to happen like this....It can't..............
  6. I have one word for Coop, "Insanity". Doing the same action over and over again and expecting a different result. How many times must he walk that path before he realizes it will always lead to a cliff, a void and all that awaits him is the sharp rocks below? Oh the journey on that path is packed full of mystery, excitment and pleasure but is walking that same path over and over worth the devistation you get in the end? Chace is the drug to which Coop is addicted. Like all addicts you either conquer and gain victory over it or it soon consumes you. Pulling you into a depth of dispair and utter doom. Will Kyle be Coop's salvation? Will he be the steadfast anchor which Coop so deperately needs?.....Or will Coop cave to his addiction and follow the same path which may lead to his udder and complete demise?
  7. My Team Kyle t-shirt is getting a bit ratty and worn but I'm still holding on to it. I like Chace but don't think is as stable as Coop needs. Coop has always been prone to screwing up, going on impulse and following his wanker. He needs someone that settles him but with as much passion to keep him on the edge. Kyle has the stability and the passion. Twenty years ago Chace walked out of Coop's life and devistated him. There was a way for both of them to follow their dreams and stay together but it just seems that Chace packed it all in, shuffled away without even a glance back or remorse. He comes back into Coops life and tells him half truths while Coop lays everything on the table for Chace. Really, Chace wants to keep his apartment and office in another city. Where is that city you may ask...Oh, just the same one that his husband of 14 years lives in..I mean, no big deal...really. What the blue blazes is he thinking. If he wants to be with Coop then he needs to not straddle the door way but step thru and embrace it ALL. I cannot blame Coop for his reaction as it would have seemed to me that Chace was purposely withholding vital information and keeping an escape route open. How can you feel safe with somoene that walked out on you once, never looked back, never attempted contact and never tried to come back to you until 20 years and a 14 year husband later?

Married??? What the.... How could you??? Ahhh geeeesshhhhhhh. Jwolf, this isn't nice ya know.....

    Epilogue

Ok, so here is my conclusion and beginning happening roughly 2 yrs down the road. Chance gets accepted into the Olympics. He is forced into relocating somewhere he can train with no distractions. Coops gets neglected, may be not on prupose but still none-the-less, and starts feeling less wanted and more of a habbit. He confronts Chance and Chance brushes it off as he is more focused on his Olympic dream then his relationship with Coop. Trouble begins and Coops confides in Kyle and Spence. Kyle becomes a shoulder Coop can cry on and expell all his concerns and hurts. Kyle and Coop grow close again and one thing leads to another and Kyle and Coop rekindle their flame. Coop goes on to the Olympics and wins while Kyle and Coop spin off to create their own little happy home Ok, I had to do that as I am still proudly wearing the Team Kyle shirt, lol. Great story. A bit juicy but good. As you could tell from my comments I was getting a bit, ok a lot, into this story. Very well done!
  10. I'm still going to wear my Team Kyle shirt with pride! I can surrender and accept that maybe Kyle and Coop won't be together ever again as lovers and boyfriends but it still doesn't stop my heart longing to see that come true. I like Chase and he seems good for Coop. Maybe I'm just a syuborn old fool who doesn't take to change very well. I still think that Kyle is in more trouble then you will let on to us tho.

    The List

Yes, you should Jwolf! I like Chase and all but Kyle and Coop just seemed so natural together. Yes I know that I am being biased in that Kyle was Coop's first crush/love but I still can't get over the fact that him and Kyle fit like a taylor made suit. Pardon the pun there. I dunno...maybe Kyle would be better off with Spencer and Kyle with Coop but I just can't let go of the fact that I still believe there are true and real feelings between him and Kyle. Team KYLE all the way!!!!!!!

    Chapter 20: Avery

I weep silent stinging tears for Coop. He is more lost then he even knows. Maybe the Sebastian guy can actually help Coop grow up and stop thinking with the head below his waist. It is clear that Coop still loves Kyle. He can't even hear his name without cringing and his stomach plummeting but he just can't get past the fact of his hormones and thinking that there is always something better on the other side of the fence. He should take it from me. The other side of the fence is not always greener. It just seems that way cause you can't see all the cow patties because the fence is blocking them
  13. The more I think of it the more I am wondering if Rusty isn't behind most of this. I know he set Kyle up to get Coop to sleep with all the line but something isn't right. I have this twisted and sickening feeling that Rusty is behind so much more then you, Jwolf, are letting on in the story. Kyle just seems too defeated. He doesn't act like he is just mourning over the loss of Coop but that he is so unhappy where he is with Rusty but he can't get out of it. I never did like Rusty. He always seems a bit too slimy and manipulative to me. I am even questioning if maybe Kyle's brother isn't behind some of this pushing and pressuring Kyle. Kyle does look up to him. Pretty much Hero worships him. Kyle's bro knows this and it would suck but I have a bad feeling that he is using that against Kyle to make him do what he wants or thinks is best for Kyle. Why does part of this whole Sigma thing and what is going on remind me so much of that movie "The Skulls"? Maybe I am being too twisted about all of this and Coops is just being young, dumb and full of cum. See how twisted you've made my mind, Jwolf? LOL Naw, it was that way to start with really. Your story just has the wheels turning and feeling there is SO much more to this then meets the eye.

    Chapter 18: Chase

I don't think the pendulum has just swung for Coop. I think it is sprung and probably embedded in the wood casing of the clock. Coop, Coop, Coop...what are we going to do with you. Its one thing to not know what you really want and be scared about a serious commitment but to run from it and try to cover it with as many sexual exploits as you can is not healthy nor is it excusable. I have lost all respect for Coop and no longer think he is even capable of rational or even moral thought any more. My heart breaks for him and not because I really like him but because he has lost who he is and thinks that sex can cure everything. My give a damn is busted when it comes to Coop. True Kyle used him at first but in no way deserved what he got from Coop. I have to agree with Q that I do not believe that Kyle went back to Rusty for rebound or any other kind of sex. I think he is trying to salvage his chances to get into Sigma. After all why would not try as he no longer has to think about Coop.

    Chapter 16: Bryan

I'm speachless!!!!!! How could Coop???? When I read that line I stop reading and stared at the screen. My heart sank like the titanic. Give me a reason to keep a sliver of hope alive for Coop and Kyle. Anything!! It can't be over just like that...there has to be some hope, some flickering light that still burns within their chest for each other. Good story but I didn't like this chapter. My heart is ladened with that one line "...cause I can't be with you..."

    Chapter 14: Dalton

My head is spinning and I can't keep track of all the sexual exploits of our dear uninhibited Coop. I'm at the point where I am ready to take both Coop and Kyle, lock them in a room and force them to face this issue and get it all straightened out. One way or another Coop needs to stop this sexual debauchery and come to terms with the fact that he cares deeply for Kyle and all he is doing now is hurting himself and those around him. Riley, bless his pee pickin heart, needs to get lost for a while so Coop and Kyle can concentrate on each other and stop ignoring the elephant in the room. I've got the key to the door and I'm fixin to use it. Lock em away until they come to their senses. btw....I still need that cocktail, lol

    Chapter 13: Riley

I'm so corn-fused. All this time Coop was the one being played. Not that I don't think he was in the wrong some of the time but still... To be manipulated, used and in essence sold. My struggling flicker is no longer that but a burning inferno that I just want to put up around him to protect him. Kyle whom I thought was the innocent and being played and toyed with has now turned into a 'pimp wanna be' that used Coop for his own chance to be exalted and better himself. Then you leave us with this cliff hanger that maybe Kyle is showing Coop that he is willing to give up everything just to show him that he really cares and that Coop is the most important thing to him. Mamma Mia, you keep throwing curve balls and corn-fusing me. I think I need a jager Bomb now or at least a nice strong cocktail of some kind, lol.

    Chapter 11: Ethan

Like a leaf blowing in a brute force wind so are the lusts and whims of Coop's life, lol. You never know where it will land. Where it will go or to whom it shall present itself before being blown in another direction. Seemingly happy and full of promise within the circumstance he finds himself in but then after being tossed and blown in another direction he changes and molds himself to fit the new circumstances. That boy gives me a headache!!!

    Chapter 9: Dixon

Foreshadowing?? Will Coop become a Sigma along with or without Kyle?? Will that be the life changing situation that finally breaks the tie? Will they both or one get into a 'family' that doesn't allow its members to be gay? You have referenced that the 'lesser' line with Rusty and Dixon was the gayish one and everyone of the Sigma's that Coops been with you mentioned within that line. You then mentioned that Kyle's big bro was in the Kennedy line but there has been no referrence to anyone from that line being 'gayish'. Makes me ponder if becoming a Sigma puts an end to Coop and Kyle. I also know that we will be seeing 'straight barista boy' again. You mentioned that right before Coop left his place. What a journey Coop is on and for that matter Kyle as well. Maybe this is just a College fling. All raw emotions and lust but later they find out that each one wants what the other can no longer provide. After all Kyle did mention he wants to go into Politics and he can't do that and be openly gay. So many things to think about, ponder and so many avenues that can be traveled. I do believe that even if Coop and Kyle do not stay boyfriends that they will always remain friends.
  20. Loving the story but I can't say that I'm loving Coop at the moment. I'm not so sure about Kyle's motives either. If you want to date and be exclusive then you don't, when you know his past weaknesses, put your boyfriend up for sale. Here both can share the blame but at some point Coop needs to draw a line and stop thinking with his appendage. My faith in him still burns but is nearly snuffed out to just a struggling flicker.

    Chapter 7: Ben

Pish-Posh, no excuses for Coop. He is making/made his bed and now he needs to sleep in it. Rationalizing everything and twisting it around in his mind to make him the one in the right and not doing anything wrong so he can sow his wild oats and still have the security and comfort of a relationship. Tisk-Tisk! He needs to pull his head out of his proverbial arse and grow a backbone, lol. I can feel bad but not blame Kyle if he leaves and stops talking to Coop. I hate to see trouble in paradise but when it is specifically caused and is continued with the same action over and over then all you can do is cringe but can't feel too bad. Okay, I guess I should say that I do understand that he is new to the whole 'guy on guy' thing and it does take some getting used to and takes some major adjusting but still..... It is easy for the sexual and even moral pendulum to swing too far and get out of sync when it is all new. I shall try to keep an open mind for now but Coop is on some pretty thin spider web fractured ice at the moment.

    Chapter 3: Kyle

Oh what a tangled web we do weave. I see disaster written all over this and not just from one side but from both. Maybe Kyle won't get hurt and all will work out but I am sensing that his secret isn't going to be a secret for long. Hmm, maybe Coop will have a heart and won't put Kyle in the book. If he does put in him there I see impending doom. The question is will Kyle ever forgive Coop so they can be together? Yes, I am pulling for Kyle and Coop but only after Coop decides he is fully ready to commit and stay commited to him.
  23. So I went from one sad blistering and crying tale to this one thinking that I might get a happy ending. Now I am not just a puddle but a sea of tears. Buggers to hell...this isn't supposed to happen...
  24. CW Prince

    Story

Not nice, Nephylim. You made me cry. So sad, very sad. I don't like to cry and fight it tooth and toe nail but this one did it. I've been reduced to a puddle. I'm not saying it was a bad thing as it was a great story. Written a little different but good. I guess I just got used to all your stories ending on a happy or somewhat happy note that this one took my shutter doors off and left me raw. Suppose I'm just a sucker for a happy ending so I look for everything (story) to end on a happy note. I should have known never to get used to that, underestimate you and think I can guess your next move. I can't but that is what I love so much about your writing!

    Chapter 19

Buggers, do you know what you are doing to me, lol. I'm on the edge of my seat here and should be going to bed for sleep but I can't cause I'm so wound up in this story. Its all good. Nothing like a nail biting, edge of your seat panich stricken story to keep you enthralled. Wow, you are good at this...Amazingly so! Hats off to you!!!!
