The Chris Who Isn't Chris
CW Prince commented on Nephylim's story chapter in The Chris Who Isn't Chris
This one threw me. I found myself scratching my head more then once trying to understand what was going on in the story. I tried really hard to follow the story path but some how I kept wandering off and finding myself, unknowingly, out in the middle of nothingness. I get it now that I read your footer 'Changling". Then it made a little more sense to me. I may have to read this one again to fully grasp it though. -
Oh man...wow...ummm...yeah. Not so sure I can write a clear review after that with all the emotions going thru my head and my heart. I've worked with children like Luke. What you have shown is spot on to the way that most of them react, act and feel. I don't think there is anything more heart breaking then to sit and listen to a child tell you about their broken home and how they were abused. Then to listen to them tell you that they deserved it cause they made "that person" angry because they forgot to ask to be excused from the table to refil their glass. Like that it supposed to be an exucse to abuse a child. I'll close this now before I go on but I do want to say that even though this story brought to mind so many kids that I have delt with in the past it was still a great story!

Okay, Sid; is there more chapters coming in the future or maybe another story to pick up shortly after this one left off? I'm hangin here man, lol. Great story but feel like it was left off in the middle or was the intent? The ill fated hand that fate delt that Noah and Luke are to be no more and Noah must find the strength to go on and regain his heart and learn to live without Luke.

More please . I know you are currently working on other material just from the previous reply to Terry's comment but ya left me on a cliff teetering ande about to fall over the edge. I'll be sure to mark this as a follow so I can get a notice when you are able to get back and work on this story again. I'm guessing that Nat walked into a messy apartment where someone turned it upside down and that Marc is nowhere to be found. Please don't torture Marc too much more. He is fragile...handle with care

I have many words about Preston I would gladly spew forth and not bat an eye but I am afraid that they may not be exactly appropriate for this site . Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I feel Marcus' burden of not wanting to tell his brother about his problems. Sometimes it is hardest to tell those we love the most about the most shamefull and darkest secret(s). The idea of the hurt, shame and rejection we might see in their eyes comes at too high of a price to overcome our rational mind and so we push or run away from them. All the while refusing to believe that little small voice, our Jiminy Cricket if you will, that they will still love and accept us. Its so much easier to hurt ourselves then let the phanton idea that they will hurt us actually take a chance at coming into fruition. We just settle into a life and come to terms with the fact that we can and will live with the pain of not knowing if they would or would not understand, accept and/or forgive us. Glad Marcus has a great brother that wouldn't give up on him and was a bit more stubborn.

This just proves my point, Cia. You are so versatile in your writing genres and yet so consistant in your quality and expertise in writing a great story that tugs at our very heart strings.

OMG!, I love it!!!!!! My favorite is when Tucker fries those suckers in the clearing. Roasted wolf anyone? lol I am always so sad when your stories come to an end. I find myself wishing they could go on and on just so I can continue being wrapped in the very folds of your tales. Characters so vivid I can feel them, emotions so strong I can sense them and strugles for acceptance, love and respect I feel I could litterally be living their lives.

Is this the prequel to "The Price of Honor"? The 3 beings all in one but yet seperate. The Grandfather, Father and Son all illuminated in light and there when someone should call them by name. The artifact defined and described the same as well.

I want to believe that his twin brother is innocent and that he really is on some secret government mission...I just don't know. I am also wondering if Dav really did shut down the bond or if he was just temp blocking it and now I think Ellis is the one blocking it without really knowing it. I can but can't blame Dav for his reaction. Given his past and the way he has been treated and all I would imagine that even hearing the hint that Ellis could be doing the same thing would have sent him on a spiral of grand proportions that he was temp seeing red and in no way capable of sound reasoning. I have no doubt that Ellis and Dav will get back together and this miss understanding will only make them stronger...together!

So many questions...and not enough answeres . Ya left me hangin, Cia lol. You are entirely too good at this...answering just enough for us not to get frustrated but not enough to satisfy our curiosity. That is exactly why I love reading your work. Its been a wonderful trip so far reading this tale. I look forward to the following tales with great anticipation. I must admit tho I keep wondering if I am going to see a little blue man appear in this story lol. Ya know I still want one, right??

Chapter 1: Invaded Territory
CW Prince commented on Cia's story chapter in Chapter 1: Invaded Territory
Cia, you never cease to amaze me with your writing style and elegant and skillful way you fold your readers into the story. It is as if we are standing there watching it unfold in front of us. Smelling, feeling, listening and yearning along with each of your characters. Loving this story and it is only chapter 1. I can't wait to get into the following chapters! -
Do you enjoy torturing me, lol? You and these cliffhangers are going to drive me to drinking Great beginning to the story. I know I said I would wait for a few more chapters before I started reading this story but I just couldn't wait. I enjoyed your last story so much that I had to jump in and start this one. Looking forward to the next chapters.

To say that I cringed would be a gross understatement. Great graphics and picture imagery painted by your words. Glad that I see a little retribution on this chapter. Now I can only hope that Velaku is strong enough to get Nathem to safety. Wonder if V's wings are strong enough for him to fly both of them out of there..of course they still have to get out of the room cause as you pointed out the cell is too small to fly within. As much as I want Nathem's father to die I don't believe now would be a good time for him to show up so let's hope he doesn't...right!

What a quandary. To give up something of yourself that you are not sure you can live without or to keep it and give up on the "us". Is there really an "us" if one cannot truly commit to it but instead commits to the idea of it but when the rubber meets the road they stray. Maybe a better question is am I "worth" what I want and know I deserve? I've never look at a relationship in the terms of having to "give" a part of myself up thus denying a part of who I am and what makes me...Me. Instead I look upon it as a compromise. You remain who you are while learning to be together. If the one you are with does not like something and you do then you learn to compromise. One thing that I have learned though is that when you "give up" or compromise too much on your morals, values and ethics then the relationship is pretty much doomed from the start. Those are qualities that make up our core and when you deny, hide, give-up or just plain compromise them too much then you invariably change/alter who you are as a person. Seems to me that this character is struggling with that very concept. Should he change who he is and what he wants and believes he is worth in order to hold on to someone he loves. It hurts like a lemon juice on a open sore followed by salt but once you slide away from who you truly are then all is doomed to a slow death unless you can regain that which makes you...you. One cannot be truly happy unless they are true to who they are and can embrace that fully. Ok, now that I have not just stepped up on my soap box but instead jumped on it and created bubbles galore I will step off and try to find my way around all the bubbles without them burning my eyes . Great piece with great emotion and very thought provoking. I'm not sure if that is really what you intended but I suppose every reader brings something a little different out of each story.

An intense and emotionally spell binding chapter. I still think Andy is a dumb shit for turning his back on Matt and ignoring him out of slef pity that he is feeling for himself. What a selfish tard! Great story thus far. Really enjoying reading it and looking forward to the following chapters. I would however like to maybe hear what Matt is going thru and see what he is doing and how is coping with Andy's self imposed blockade of their friendship.
-
A mutual love only now recognized and only because one of them couldn't get past his own anguish and self doubt that his best friend could love him back like he loved him. Too many self tortured moments of selfishly pushing the love of your life away in the anticipation of impending hurt. This was a great chapter and one that was not so easy to read. Could this be the end for them? Hmmm, I have a feeling that we haven't heard the last of these two. I'm hoping that they find a way back to each other and that the flame still burns as bright as it once did when they were growing up and Andy was trying to protect Matt and keep him from being hurt again. Sad part is, Andy is the one who ended up hurting Matt.

Kind of deep thinking for a 3rd grader. Not saying that it isn't possible, just seems really deep. Regardless of that though the story seems to be developing nicely and definitely has my attention. Looking forward to reading to next chapters.

I don't know if I should feel sorry for Corbin or if I should just sit back and watch him dangle on his last thread. I wonder if he has ever thought about trying out for Broadway as he seems to really like his drama. He wants to be an item with Pete and yet he cannot take Pete at his word?? Pete specifically told him he was not interested in Dakota as anything but a friend. Pete described his experience his first time away from home to study abroad. Could one not deduct from that, that it is possible and probable that he would want to at least be close to someone he knew so they could visit. Pete had no idea what it was going to be like at his new school as all he had to go on was how hard it was at the previous school. DUH, Corbin...take note of what Pete is telling you. He doesn't like her like that, he nearly went home cause it was too hard at the first school, Dakota was his first friend, he knew she liked him more than a friend and still he told Corb that he was not interested in her that way....ding ding ding....If I were in Pete's shoes I am sure I would want to be as close to a friend as possible if my first experience nearly turned out like his. I do suppose with the way that Corb's mind works it is fathomable to assume that he is so twist, uncertain and mixed up about Pete that he is hearing and seeing things that are not really there thus only what he thinks is there... It is possible to like someone so much that you create your own fear and mixed understandings so much that you cannot tell what is from what is not. Corb seems to have plenty of that going around between him and Pete. I think Hutch made an excellent point when he advised Corb how hard it was, and for that matter what condition Corb was in, before Corb came out to him. Further even tho Corb came out to Hutch in a very drunken state he still didn't really tell Hutch that he was gay. When he was he still didn't face Hutch but instead he wrote Hutch a letter??!!. If that is what it took for Corb to come out then can he not understand what Pete might be going through? Still loving the story. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Ok, is it just me or is Rory just not seeing that Luke likes him a bit more then just a friend? Yes Luke made the comment about practically being related but I think that might have been a defense thing as I believe at the time Luke knew that Rory was interested in someone else (I may be wrong there tho). Really enjoying the story. Again great characters and very believable plot and real emotions. Easy to get wrapped up in the story.
-
Hmmmm, I don't really care for Aaron but I do like Luke. I just wish Luke would be truthful with Rory. I think Luke likes Rory more then he is 'allowed' to admit and something could really work out between him and Rory if he could just be truthful. Another great story and a very believeable plot. Love the characters as they are easy to relate to and so life-like.
-
Such realistic characters and a very believable plot. I loved it! There was so much raw emotion and true reaction that it made the story relatable.
-
Holy cow is this intense. I've been reading this with my eyes glued to the screen as much as possible. It all seems so real as I can honestly relate to Quinn and his emotions, reactions and inner turmoils. Got so carried away reading that I actually let my White Chocolate Mocha coffee from Starbucks get cold and that rarely ever happens. Wow. Great story so far. Very good and very believable characters. Just wanted to give a little feed back to let you know how great and realistic you made this story. Back to the next chapters.
-
Its been a few chapters since I left a review. I was a little too wrapped up in reading it and just wanted to get to the next chapter, sorry. I guess I could blame that on you for being such a great writer *wink*, lol. Ok, all joking aside. An excellent story that was heart warming, moving, emotional and down right a pleasure to read! I'm glad to hear that you are planning to revisit this and write more one day. I would love to read about Tap and Dane's college years. See how they have grown, matured and where they are within their relationship a few years from now. You are deffinately going on the must read and highly recommended list when anyone asks me who I think they should read.
-
I agree with Trevor and you both, Cia. I hate the lables that people and society try to burden and thrust upon an individual. Its like we are supposed to all conform and silently allow ourselves to neatly be placed on a shelf with other products like ourselves or within the same department. Problem is we are not a product but a person Its about time Tap finally told Dane. Not a bad way to have to prove it either...with that kiss. Wonder if Dane's toes curled a bit, lol. Maybe, just maybe now something will start going right for Dane and he won't have to feel so alone. His road will be a long and full of potholes and probably strewn with dangerous debris but with Tap there he should be able to make it.
-
Go Patrick!!!! I laughed so hard at Tap's reaction and words to his father after his father rightfully hit and broke Dane's father's nose. I love the little humorous one or two liners that you throw in here and there. They come out of left field and catch me off guard which just makes them more hillarious.
