“Police say your wife—” Sawyer reached back and gripped Jimmy’s arm, interrupting Dr. Adams to stop his mate’s growling. Now was poor timing for possessive territory gestures. “Ex-wife.” Well fed, pale, and gray hair thinning, the older doctor’s gaze flickered to Sawyer’s hand on Jimmy. Doris has her place in the plot line. I actually wish I'd introduced her sooner. I really like writing her as a supporting character.

Fergus is too far gone to care. I imagine now that he's tapped this new source of power, he's feeling validated in his role as alpha. Some of your concerns about covering things up is actually being addressed in the next chapter. See you next Wednesday.

Fergus' narcissism has led to his own downfall. Now we have to hope he's not taking the rest of our cast with him. Fingers crossed.

Big baby he may be, but as a true-born alpha, Fergus is dangerous. The risks are still high.

Fergus' relationship with his pack (if you can call it that) has been deteriorating badly since the rabids appears and probably wasn't that solid to begin with, but he was too arrogant to see it.

you better be careful. I could slip horrible things into Carlos' text and start killing off favorite cast members... -
Not at all. Remembering smaller details is harder when waiting a week between chapters. (And 35 weeks so far! Yikes!) If you were reading in one or two sittings like a book, it might have been easier. I have to remember to repeat those details more often in serial format.

I tried to make it clearer through the description since Jada wouldn't know, but the second wolf (huge, broad shoulders with a shaved head) would be Granger.
