I just read your story and it was a good read. Give yourself some credit, YOU are an AUTHOR, when people like Graeme, Joann414, C James and the others tell you so, believe them, they know what their talking about. You say that you have a few stories with a few chapters done. Ever considered concentrating on short stories of one or two chapters only? Maybe some of those that you have now have, could be trimmed to fit that style. Maybe finish your first story here, with a chapter or two. Adapt your style to what you have. You and I are no longer spring chickens. I would rather you do a few shortened ones, than have to wait for a novel that may never be. So get off your butt, sharpen a pencil, or dust off your computer keys, get with the program and give us a long awaited story. The ball is now in your court.
