Pete getting angry with Corbin and also sending the text only provides the point more that he has feeling for Corbin. That text was meant to be hurtful, in a way that you can only hurt the ones you LOVE. I think Pete is going to come to his senses after he has pushed Corbin away one too many times, and Corb doesn't want him anymore.

I see that it's been over a year since a new chapter for this story. I hope Jwolf did't fall off the face of the Earth. It would be a shame if this story never finised. I keep checking every few weeks and I'm losing hope.

Hey Andrew, sorry for the duplicate post. For Peter, I always had a actor name Beau Mirchoff in mind. I've seen him in a few TV shows, playing teenagers, so his chest was shaved, but I have seen pictures with his chest very hairy. His hairy chest and build makes me think of Peter. For Jase, there isn't anyone age appropriate I can think of, but I would consider a 20 year old Matt Damon, haha I guess someone needs to invent a time machine. Ok, enough of me being a Casting Director for now, or I'll start on Darryl and Dean. I day dream about this enough as is. I kind of wonder if you, Andrew, have any celebrities that make you think of these characters?

Hey Andrew, This must have been the 8th or 9th time in a year I read Second Shot. It is absolutly my favorite story. I always start just skimming through my favorite parts and end up reading the whole story again. I even try to cast the characters if this was made into a movie, Peter I have cast already lol. Please tell me that you not making Scott the S.O.B. in this story, Its bad enough he left Noah, I hope he has been in contact with Zach. If not I'll go to Atlanta and kill him myself if he hurts that little boy.

Nice story so far! I couldn't help but laugh when I saw the name of the restaurant was "Blue Oyster", that was the name of the gay bar in the "Police Academy" movie, very funny scene.

I happened to find this story yesturday and pretty much read straight through! Easily one of my top few favorite stories, on top of how well written it is. The pace of the story kept me locked in, never dragging or boring. I'm going to take a short break and maybe reread the story, Haha. Thank you very much.

Jason needs to focus on the positive things that happened since the attack. If Jason did stand up to his Mom that night, he probably would not have reconnected with her, his relationship with his family would still be severed like keeping his distance from his brother. Also, if it didn't happen that knight, Jordon would have probably still cornered Pete and attacked him on another night anyway. The attack that night, even though horrible, was probably better in the long run for their relationship then if Jason told his Mom no to the classes.

As a gay guy that played football in High School I was always curious if there were any out gay football players. In the NFL there has never been an out player while there were playing in the NFL, but a few that have come out after they left. There are quite a few out college players that have come out, my favorite story is of Brian Sims. Brian was outed by an ex-boyfriend and his teammates were very supportive.( I know this is rarely the norm). Since graduating he was a lawyer that work for gay/lesbian rights and now he is a Pennsylvania State Congressman. I love the story, im hoping Jason can play as quarterback, come out and find himself a good man to love all his hotness.

Just giving a little info, the minimum base salary for a NFL player is around $400,000 a year. Even the practice squad makes more than $65,000.

Andrew, Thanks for getting back to me, I'm happy your writing these Flash Fiction Chapters, I thought it was going to be a few years until I heard about Jason and Pete. Now I have something to hope for again, haha. I came on here today to just reread a chapter or two and it was a big surprise to see senior year, made my day! Tony C.

Andrew, I found "Second Shot" about 6 months ago and it is my favorite story of all the stories I have read on here and on Nifty. I think i read it completly through 6 or 7 times, and my favorite chapters ( about 2/3 of them, haha ) a few more times as well. I think that these Flash Fiction chapters are great to get them through college.I saw on the forums of second shot somewhere that you mentioned doing a sequel 5 years later maybe. I like how this not necesserily going to be a coming out, dramatic hospital story line, but a look into how the guys finish college together. Once senior year is finish,then maybe you can go to a sequal 5 years down the line and look at how the dynamic of these characters had changed. Maybe the dynamic can change were Peter is now the weathy one with his success, and Jason is now having work problems and can't tap his trust fund, and the issues that arise. A reversal of sorts. (I feel like i'm being bossy and telling you how to right your story, so feel free tell me to F off, I won't take offense, haha, I just love these characters too much and hope your writing about them into their old age.) I'm so happy your doing Senior year, and I'm going to reread Second Shot again for the millionth time. Keep up the great writing, Tony C.
