  1. Pizza dough 1 kg white flour 1 teaspoon fine sea salt 2 x 7 g dried yeast sachets 1 tablespoon caster sugar 4 tablespoons olive oil approx 650 ml lukewarm water since i did giant quantities (x3 this recipe) i did mine as a pile on the surface, but you could use a bowl. sift the salt into the flour. mix the yeast, sugar and oil together in a jug, then add 400ml of the warm water. stand for a minute or two, then mix in slowly.add the rest of the water gently until you get the right consistency. Knead hard for 10 mins, then leave in a floured bowl with clingfilm for an hour until doubled in size. mine tried to climb out of the bowl it go so big. knock back, divide into balls, roll out and make pizza. you should be able to deal with that yourselves.

  5. it's 5.30 pm here in Sussex Land, i have just got come from work and i am catching up with my GA notifications. husband is out shooting dinner (literally) before it's off to the shops (eight miles away) to but pre-made muffin products for my year 9's to analyse tomorrow.
  6. since they arrived at the fair in the previous chapter, we dealt with special horse and competitor parking then. Rodeo is generally 3 hours or so, depending on the number of competitors and events, but it is very fast paced, because you don't want the people in the stands getting bored. while one guy preps, another will be competing, usually with only a minute or two between events.
  7. somebody remind me to post the pizza dough recipe...
  8. i am so glad you think so! can steer's ride cowboys? that remains to be seen...

    Epilogue

sorry my friend, and epilogue is sort of the end. on the other hand, most of the places in the book are real, and if you go there, you just might meet the boys...
  10. It was dark in the harbour, the wall glowing softly white, reflecting the evening lights of the sloping town. The sun had been down hours now, its last light having faded from the sky completely, throwing a pure indigo curtain up over the shades of blue, crimson, gold and pink. There was no moon to gild the curves of the land and the stars shone all the brighter. The sea was calm, flat as freshly made bed, a mirror held up to the sky. Four miles away across the bay, a bright strip of lights show
  11. haha!I know what happens, and you just created the most awesome mental image with that! you're very welcome.

    Chapter 13

sorry, i forgot to change the status on it. my fault. you have one more chapter left.the italic sections are dreams and visions, partial inherited memories and ideas planted in Krilla's friends by their proximity to him.
  13. there's no good story without tragedy is there?
  14. It was black as pitch under the water, the moonlight reflecting off the glassy surface. Krilla dropped like stone, changing fast as he swam, the layers of human in him peeling away to reveal the fish beneath. He was surrounded by the green phosphorescence, but found no beauty in it now, just clean pale light by which to see, and avoid, the sharp structures in the sea bed so close to land. He swam fast, using all the power in his frame and the streamline design that gave him such sleek fluidity.
  15. generally, the outrider will fetch the bulldoggers horse. there are "ring riders" whose job it is to deal with the steer and rope him if he's getting dangerous.rodeo based cliff hangers rock.
  16. he can be happy and in love and winning and passed out right?
  17. well, you know, i reached the upper word limit for the chapter. you only have to wait like, two days. ok I'm mean. also, ta for the absorption comment, that is so my intention
  18. and if it all turns out OK you'll love me forever?
  19. I have always said that i'm a mean bastard...
  20. i love to keep y'all hanging
  21. Rhydian walked with Bryce and Indi to the warm up arena. It was still a while before he’d be in the ring, so there was no point warming up either of his horses yet. He had stood with the trailer and petted Shura’s neck and touched Samson’s long ears. Boy-Latte and Sugar were in their stalls, munching and enjoying their rest. “You’re sure you want me to meet them?” Rhydian hung back as they reached the practice school. “Babe. They’re going to love you. Mum, Dad!” The three people turned to look
  22. The dolmus was something in between a bus and a private taxi. Tickets were cheap and it was the best way to get from town to town. Aziz caught the second one of the day, eight o’clock sharp from the taxi rank and ended up squeezed into the back corner next to a woman who had on her lap a wicker basket containing three little ginger kittens. As the bus lurched into motion they chatted amiably about their plans for the day ahead. The woman was going to the vet’s to get the kitten’s injections done

  24. if i can be bothered, there will be pancakes with maple syrup and bacon in an hour or so. anyone else for breakfast?
  25. Aleksi yawned hugely, lion like and golden brown on the soft varnished wood of the deck. He rolled over and found the deck warm, baked by the sunlight. The angle was still low, defiantly early morning, a stripe of shade from the mast covered his eyes. He didn’t feel much like moving yet. Lying on his back Aleksi reached out an arm for Krilla’s sleeping form and found the space next to him bare and deserted. Aleksi wasn’t worried, he’d probably just gone to the toilet or for a quick swim to wash
