  1. I naturally have to cheer for the Red Sox here... I mean- look at my profile picture. Have you ever heard of a Brewers fan cheering for the Cardinals? Didn't think so... Go Red Sox!!

    Chapter 2

I know this one is short! And I would have made it longer, but, I wanted to get something out there fairly quickly--as it had been so long! I'm working on chapter three- and it is already longer... No worries. I have a full idea of where I plan on taking this story--so I'm excited to get there. Thanks for reading!
  3. Our drive to the hotel went by quickly, considering the circumstances. There wasn’t much talking between my mom and I. There normally never was. “Hey Shelly,” the receptionist says at the hotel. We’re here so often they know us by name. Great. “Need a room tonight?” “Yeah, that’d be great,” my mom says, visibly worn and ushering in a half smile. I hated seeing her like this. The bags under her eyes showed the sleep deprivation from work. The wrinkles around her eyes were becoming more and more
  4. I'd like to see it one step further... I'd like to never see anybody have to come out. It should be as simple as falling in love, and everyone simply being happy that you're happy. That, to me would be ideal. No assumptions about who you like... No hints at who you're supposed to like... ya know? That... that is what I want.
  5. I have a terrible gaydar. My straight friends have a better gaydar than I do. Haha. They actually all tend to laugh at me simply for the reason that they'll tell me- "Oh my God, so and so is so gay." And I'm like.. Wait. He's gay? For real, it's a hinderance. I think life would be a little bit easier if my gaydar actually worked. Hahahahaha. Then maybe I could finally find a boyfriend!
  6. So, in some news, an article was posted on The Huffington Post. We often hear the tragic stories of LGBT individuals, as we should. These suicides are indeed tragic and simply shouldn't be happening. "A world so hateful some would rather die than be who they are." However. I'm posting for a happier reason today. A story about a guy who had his dad unexpectedly find out he was gay. And then... something so kind.. so admirable happens. Warning... This story might just put a tear in your eyes! You can check out the story here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/levi-a-miles/my-fathers-unexpected-response-to-my-coming-out_b_3072636.html?utm_hp_ref=fb&src=sp&comm_ref=false
  7. I just need to remember that it's literally really early in the season, and I can't be (too) discouraged by a 1-2 start from the Brewers. But hey... At least they won their opener.

    Chapter 1

Oh my God! Thank you, thank you, thank you! When formulating this, I began to rethink my story here and there. It is still very fluid, and I was figuring it all out, as I wrote this. I know I probably should have done more character development in my head beforehand, but I had this idea, and just wanted to start it. I will be sure to edit the senior part to sophomore. Oops! Thank you for the review and the advice! I will be sure to make the edits where suggested! Harper
  9. Darvish's one hitter... Impressive performance, for sure. Sadly, he was on my competitors fantasy team... 44 points! I have NO chance this week. Oh well.. Plenty of fantasy weeks left.
  10. If you couldn't tell by my avatar, I'm a big Brewcrew fan. Cannot wait to make some trips to Miller Park!! It's a beautiful time of year!
  11. The count was 2-2. There were no outs and the bases were loaded. I was pitching for the Sunville Tigers, but having a hell of a time finding the zone. Normally, I was a stud. Threw strikes, struck kids out, had a low ERA… but tonight, something was just… different. We were losing to the Spartans 4-0. Our offensive production was extremely low. My frustration was permeating out of my veins as much as the sweat was pouring out of my pores. The sweat made my eye black run down my cheeks. I just ser
  12. Andy is on a road to discovering himself. But does he know it?
  13. The visit will be extremely emotional. I was in 2nd grade when the attacks happened. It is my first historical memory, and a tough one to really understand at the time.
  14. I don't know how into architecture/iconic American views you all might be into.. But, check this out! One World Trade Center is still under construction, but, it's getting there. I'm definitely adding this to my list of things I NEED to visit before I die! I included one picture from the view already, but, there are a few more in the article. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2302970/One-World-Trade-Center-Stunning-images-taken-observation-deck-high-New-York.html
  15. This may be the best thread ever. I love food, and will now begin experimenting with this exceptional list of recipes. Thank you all!
