  1. Exactly! Thank you
  2. wowwwwwwww. LOL I know who you're rooting for Wesley! LOL
  3. CHAPTER THIRTEEN The Christmas break was all too short for Cid; he and Roxie and Rikki, and the other girls had all gotten together as much as possible. They’d held him and talked to him, and tried to boost his spirits. He finally told them a little bit about the creepo dude that would follow him and they suggested he arm himself. The first day back, Cid propped up the canvas that he’d finished during the break. It was a night scene, and mostly black. Bleak. Devoid of animals or people
  4. Thank you...I'm sorry for yours! The pain is easing, but I still have my baby boy. Once he goes...it'll be very odd without kitties.
  5. I've been thinking about your comment for a while. Two things: Cid was given the opportunity to meet Frank and he turned it down. Plus all that Frank knows about Cid is through Billy. He isn't getting the whole story. So...I think these two need to talk. Frank is a good guy and not a stalker...Kurt is the stalker.
  6. I write a lot of mine based on where I grew up. I love it! I've lived here over 30 years, so I know the area very well and like to 'advertise' that in the story.
  7. wow, really? what don't you like about him?
  8. CHAPTER TWELVE Billy’s POV After he’d hung up on Cid, Billy pitched the phone into his pillows and crumpled onto his bed in a heap of tears. He sobbed for over five minutes before he slowly, painfully realized that this was how things were always going to turn out. Cid was never going to be his, despite Billy telling him the truth about loving him. Did he really even know what love was? Sure! It was his parents, his grandparents, and every relative that’d stuck together through go
  9. This is the first one I've ever lost. My first cat my parents kept and were there when she passed. Writing has been a huge help and although the story is full of angst and drama, it takes the focus off of crying over her. Awww, tuxes are fabulous! I want another one for sure after this one passes. They are so adorable!
  10. Last week was pure hell. Anyone who has ever lost a beloved furbaby you have my sincerest condolences. I lost my little girl last Tuesday and I miss her terribly. She was over 18, had end stage kidney disease, and a couple new health items that cropped up. We did all we could to save her, but it was too late. She awaits us over Rainbow Bridge now. Luckily, I have a tuxedo kitty too and he is not quite 14 yet. Diabetic, but in good health otherwise. He's been my love and light. He loves to cuddle and purr as soon as I touch him. Cats are definitely one of the three greatest loves of my world. After such a loss, I took a few days to recoup and regroup and cope with how quiet the house is, and it feels emptier without my six-lb calico always vying for attention. I luckily, found solace in writing again. Anyone who's a regular sees that I've been posting a LOT more and trying really to get involved. I have no day job, and hubby works a lot, so it's just me and tux baby all day. My love for words, men in love (or falling) and trying to be social are winning out over the choice to be a hermit or grieve forever. I have dealt with the fact girl kitty is gone, but I still kiss her urn and picture every morning and night. She's never really gone...just waiting.
  11. He's a puppy trying to mate with a wolf. A wounded one at that.
  12. CHAPTER ELEVEN Cid finally messaged Billy three days before Christmas. He’d been working up to it in his mind, to hear Billy’s voice and possibly know that the kid was crying again, all because of him. He wanted to keep his promise to Roxie, and she called daily with an ever increasingly threatening tone to her voice to call that boy ‘or else’. She even looped in Cid’s other friends to help ‘encourage’ him to do the right thing. Tammy, Brandy, and even Roxie’s own sister, Rikki. S
  13. Lol I watched that show a lot plus I grew up in a 'nuclear' family. Parents have a way of getting what we don't want to say out.
  14. lol
  15. Frank definitely doesn't sugarcoat. He sees what's really happening. He's gotta spill the beans soon too. LOL Billy is as green as they get and is in wayyy over his head.
  16. CHAPTER TEN Billy’s POV Christmastime was always Billy’s favorite time of year. His parents and sister were just as into the holiday as he was, luckily. The house was decorated to the hilt! A huge 10-foot tree trimmed with ribbons, ornaments, lights, angels, and even flocked doves made the living room seem huge and smaller all at the same time. Thank goodness for vaulted ceilings! Underneath was a large pile of presents, some in bags, some in boxes with elaborate foil paper and bo
  17. He's scared out of his mind...but Roxie will hold him to it. You're very welcome!
  18. She's awesome
  19. Frank isn't lying...he's withholding. He's trying to get Billy to see the truth the Cid is pounding into his head, that they aren't right for each other. I agree though, he should come clean, asap!
  20. his heart is in the right place....but his methods? we'll see.
  21. CHAPTER NINE Christmas break was in full swing. Cid darted back to his hometown after leaving Billy a message that boiled down to ‘I need to clear my head. I’ll be in touch. Have a great break!’ He got a short reply of ‘Have a good one.’ Wow, that was unusual for him. Billy wasn’t the first thing on his mind though; he was very, very ancy to see his friends again and get their spin on his ‘situation’. As soon as he walked into the local bar and saw them again, his entire mood c
  22. CHAPTER EIGHT Billy’s POV The last two weeks since his chat with Cid had been going great. They met for lunch at least twice a week, and for coffee another two days. That was four times a week and yet….ahhh well. Billy just had to hold his breath and hold out hope that maybe, just maybe, by Christmastime, he could land a huge kiss on Cid’s all-too-tempting lips. He had to cool his sexual thoughts of his artsy pursuit; it was finals time just before holiday break. All the rest o
  23. Chapter Seven The first big rainstorm in a while was about to descend upon the campus. Cid could feel it in his bones; they always creaked a little when the barometer dropped. Ok that and incessant viewing of the weather channel. He saw the huge band of storms that was headed their way and decided to hunker down in his dorm room until they passed. Once his laptop was opened, he saw an email from Billy asking if he could please come over to talk. Oh shit. I always hate that ‘we nee
  24. Chapter Six Billy’s POV So far this school year had been the longest three months of his entire life. August wasn’t so bad, but as soon as he’d laid eyes on his friend, the ever quiet, tough-to-crack egg named Cid, his life had seemed to slow down. They’d gotten together for coffee a few times, and Billy had finally managed to get Cid to agree to ordering up some food and eating it together. After two solid months of trying, that’s as close as they’d come to a ‘real’ date. He
  25. a bit of both as you'll see
