Darren turned out to be a much better person than I initially thought. He wouldn't let me make him a bad guy. And I wouldn't really call Loz a villain, despite his despicable actions. I don't really believe in heroes and villains. In the end, we're all just people, and there are reasons people do what they do, even if they're not good reasons. Thank you for reading!

It was definitely one of the harder chapters, yeah. Thank you for reading it.

Thank you. And I'm glad you like my story. I'm sorry you've experienced such abuse, but glad that you've gotten through it and that your life is improving. Take care of yourself, mate. Thank you for reading.

A very thorough analysis. Thank you. You're right about the therapist, of course, I should have thought of that... May go back and change it.
  6. Morning, DiC! Hope you’re all sleeping soundly in your beds still. I’m on my way to shrink. Feeling anxious again. Hate this a lot, but it is what it is, I guess. Have a good day, all!
  7. Bedtime. Goodnight, DiC! See you all tomorrow.
  8. I'm heading to bed. Night, everyone!

I was expelled. This came as no surprise. I already knew it would happen, and I knew I deserved it. Honestly, I didn’t even want to stay. I had no friends, and there was no way I could face Daniel day after day. He shouldn’t have to face me either. I was set to start a new school after the Christmas holidays. Since there were only a couple of weeks left of term there was no point in doing so straight away. In the meantime, my therapy continued. ‘How are you today?’ Mr. Morelli asked me. It w
  10. I mean, I'm fluent in Swedish, it's just that it's gibberish, lol! Hi, Bob!
  11. Good morning, B!
  12. Hi, Curti! *waves*
  13. I have a friend who's the same age as me (30) and she's started going grey. She has really dark hair, so it's pretty obvious. But she refuses to dye it or anything, she loves it. And it's gorgeous. Talk about salt and pepper. She's beautiful. Wish people weren't so afraid of ageing...
  14. My mum called me skrotthoppa, which I don't even know how to translate from Swedish... The last part means 'jump'. I don't even know, it was such a weird nickname.
  15. Well, most recent child psychology I've read suggests that raising boys and girls differently is where we go wrong. It can lead to behavioural issues in both. Girls are frequently taught to be good and do what they're told, to never act out, to do well in school, to be quiet and calm and cute and pretty. Boys are often allowed to act out more, be rambunctious. 'Boys will be boys'. They are less frequently asked to be quiet. They talk more than girls, are heard more, and people don't even realise because they're so used to it, but they've done studies on this, measured how often little boys talk compared to girls in social settings, and how often they are asked to be quiet. Boys are taught to take up space. Girls are taught to give it. Neither of these things are good. It can lead to a lot of anxiety and feelings of inadequacy in girls, which can then manifest as anger or depression. It can lead to boys falling behind academically, and also to aggressive behaviour. Raise children to be kind, considerate, open-minded, caring, and thinking human beings. Treat them as individuals and raise them in the way that works in order to make good people. Gender shouldn't matter. /rant Sorry. Given my own gender identity and the journey I'm on, I'm very passionate about these issues. I might have figured this stuff out at a much younger age if people hadn't taught me what girls and boys are meant to be like. I wasn't a tomboy. I liked to play with dolls and play dress-up. None of that makes me a girl, as I figured out years later when I worked in a daycare looking after 1- and 2-year-olds and realised that the little boys would fight over who got to wear the sparkly pink princess dress. Because nobody had taught them what they were supposed to be like yet.
  16. Hey, Page! How are you doing today?
  17. Don't treat her like a princess. Treat her like a kid. Seriously. Take it from someone who was raised a girl but is not one now.
  18. How? Genuinely curious, here. I've worked in childcare. I treated all the kids the same, regardless of gender. They weren't different. They were just kids. EDIT: By the same I mean as Gary says, that I treated each of them as individuals separate from their gender.
  19. Why does it have to be different?
  20. More comfortable, and currently feel better for other reasons, too. Plus, mine have Star Wars on them.
  21. I'm not sure how it happened, but for some reason I read 'horse sauce' and was very confused.
  22. Yeah, it shouldn't take long. Just weird in a context like that with, like, church folks. I mean, they're all fairly liberal, but it's still hard to know just how to act. Ugh, laundry... I have to do that, too. I'm out of underwear, lol! Or, I say out of... But I don't wanna wear the girly stuff.
  23. Hi, Gary! I've figured out that if I want my ideal temperatures, which lie between 10 and 25 degrees Celcius (temperate climate), all year round, I'd have to move to the Andes or something. Hi, everyone else, too! I've been to a dinner party thing at my mum's with lots of people from her church, so I'm knackered. Lots of anxiety. Better now that I'm home. Accidentally misgendered myself, lol! Chilling on the couch for the rest of the evening. Gonna have a bite to eat as I was too anxious to eat much at the party. Hope you're all well!
  24. Back from the thing. It went all right. Tired, though. So many people. Noisy. Also, I literally misgendered myself by referring to myself as my mother's daughter, lol! Clearly I'm still getting used to this myself. Now, I shall enjoy the silence. And eat something. Was feeling kind of blah the whole time. Worried that if I really ate I'd get sick. But now I'm home and the anxiety has passed, so I'm gonna have some spaghetti. Hope everyone's having a good Sunday!
