Glad it passed. Hoping mine will go away sooner rather than later. At least with the anti-emetic I may be able to eat a bit more. Feed a cold, isn't that what they say? Good quote, btw, though I'm not sure I entirely agree... At least I think there's more to it. I think good art is a dialogue. It's about the story we want to tell, and how the readers react to and interpret that story. There's a bit of me in everything I write. So, yeah, it's about us. Just my opinion, though.

Morning, DiC! Been to see my GP. She prescribed me an anti-emetic. She also told me I have a virus, so I just have to wait out this infernal cold and just treat the symptoms as best I can. Apparently there's one going around that gets better, then worse, then better, then worse. Ugh. Anyway, hope you all have a nice day!

Perhaps making friends with a new Family could be a good thing? I mean, as long as they don't find out about Corbin's connections to the FBI, in any case. Given that Harris has agents stationed in Hailey, though, it seems likely that they'll notice the new Family as well. Maybe. Either way, still loving it! Paul is so sweet! And a total hottie, too. The Italian was a nice touch.

Thank you. And thanks for commenting! It's true, these words can really lose their meaning. Like calling something gay. A friend of mine went to a boarding school in Britain. He had a gay roommate, and had no problem with that, has no problem with anything to do with LGBTQ (if he did, we probably wouldn't be friends, lol), but when talking to his other friends he would frequently use the word gay to mean lame, because that's the vernacular that they used, and he never even thought about it. By the way, George is the oldest.

Well, no, but I already knew. Except you're wrong about it meaning 'tail'. Going back, it has consistently meant 'buttocks'. In old Norse, you have the word 'rass' which has the same etymological roots. In Norse times, 'rassraggr' was a derogatory term for men who had sex with men. 'Rass' remains in modern Icelandic and is occasionally also used in Norwegian. In modern Swedish, the word 'arsle' is also the same. And, as you say, in German the word exists as well. 'Arsch' in modern German also means arse.
