  1. I liked "Sleep came creeping on words forgotten since college, read to the room by the awkward third son;" I wanted to know about their relationship. What was the connection between them like? What did she think of him? He of her? How did things work out in the family? How did she treat him growing up? Did she understand him and his life as an adult? Did he understand her? In my life I ask myself why my mother, who I dearly loved died at 44 when I was 23, married my father who was a pretty troubled man and a real player. Why him? How would she, I wonder, have dealt with my orientation, which has been rather mixed? Anyhow that's what I wanted from the poem and the poet.
