    Advent

Brian and Danny are married. But they are stuck in limbo and can’t get past it. Can an Advent calendar, some Christmas ornaments, and a cigarette get them beyond the stasis that has frozen their lives? Will the lights of Christmas shining in the darkness help them find the peace they truly need? This is a Christmas story in eight parts.

Awesome jealousy scene. I can't believe how powerful it was. Great job. You are doing something really cool here.
  5. Chapter 5 – GGL Jared threw his coat in disgust as he walked through the front door of his apartment. He was furious with himself for once again awkwardly just watching Scott from afar instead of actually talking to him. He felt the familiar wetness on his cheeks and wiped the tears away. Why couldn’t he get over his nerves and just walk up to the guy and talk? It’s not like they hadn’t met before, they had. Jared went into the kitchen and put on the kettle. He needed something to set
  6. Thanks. Randy kept asking why I threw the Kellies in for a distraction. I guess I just liked the boys finding out that way!
  7. You know, it wasn't the working title. It was called Security about two men who were insecure and found each other. But, I'm glad I changed the name. Porcupines is much better.
  8. Thank you so much for the kind words. This has been a great experience.
  9. Thanks Mike. That means so much to me.
  10. Thank you so much. This story is pretty special to me, being my first. Your kind comments are truly and humbly appreciated. *head nod and smile*
  11. Thank you so much. I will be missing this. It was pretty special to me.
  12. Thank you so much. I'm proud of it as my first attempt. Hopefully the next will be even better. Thanks for friending me!
  13. Thanks. Hope the next chapter isn't too bad for you.
  14. I'm so glad you liked it. They are an adorable couple. Thanks.
  15. Chapter 38 - Nanna “I’m just glad we finished unpacking last night,” Chuck said looking out at the shorn brown stubble-filled fields passing by. “We can come home to a nice, orderly apartment.” “Yeah. I guess,” Dylan admitted. He was driving and the traffic was finally easing up. “I didn’t figure we’d be moving Raleigh too.” “I know. Can you believe his mother?” Chuck added. “She seemed to be coping with Raleigh’s being gay but meeting Isaac really set her off.” “I feel so bad for him.
  16. You are very welcome. I'm so glad you are enjoying it. Thanks for reading and commenting. You are awesome.
  17. I am too. I loved the hi jinks idea and tried to make it as funny as I could. I appreciate your comments. Just one chapter left. Thanks so much Lisa.
  18. Thanks Lisa. Dylan's cognitive dissonance was that Ron was so perfect yet really wasn't caught up with him. At least that's what I was going for.
  19. Chapter 37 - Operation Porcupines “Are you guys sure you’re fine with this?” Isaac said into the phone. “Yeah, if you think it’ll help?” Kelli said. “Stop that.” “What?” Isaac asked raising an eyebrow. “Not you. Nothing. I was talking to Brandon,” she said. “Just make sure you’re there at the appointed time,” Isaac checked his notes. “You gotta be there at six” “No problem. How is this gonna work?” “We just need a distraction. I’m not so concerned with Chuck but Dylan’s got a susp
  20. Thank you. I'm glad you are enjoying the characters and the story. Pretty special to me too.
  21. Chapter 36 – P*I*E*C*E*S “Iiiiii, fallllll to piii-eeeeces.” Isaac reached over and turned off the radio. “I can’t listen to Patsy Cline at a time like this,” he said to Raleigh. His big blond hunk was driving him to work. He’d just gotten off the phone with Dylan agreeing to take his shift. The poor guy was a mess. “I understand. I love Patsy but now is definitely not the time,” Raleigh said to his diminutive blond boyfriend. He’d just gotten off the phone with Chuck. He’d sounded de
  22. Thanks Lisa. You are spot on with your analysis as to the damage cheating does to the psyche. You are so kind with the compliment about the chapter.
  23. Thanks for the review Suvitar. I really tried to make sure and include good times with the bad. Life gives us both and I tried to be generous with the good times when I could.
  24. Thanks so much Mike. I agree that we must learn from our trials and people who aren't such great people. I know I have. People like Dewayne unfortunately exist and sometimes we fall into their traps.
  25. This was the most difficult chapter for me to write I think. Dewayne is based on someone in my own life. It was very cathartic writing this.
