    Chapter 27

A very sad chapter. I feel so sorry for Andy. He just was not strong enough to resist the temptations and neither Kyle nor Randy respected him or appreciated his predicament but merely wanted him for their own selfish reasons. Damn Randy! He's such a big dick! He deserves to be had up too! He's worse than Dillon because he is so selfish (though I guess Dillon was just as selfish). These knots are becoming too much! And poor Matt. Where will this leave him? Will he be able to forgive Andy? Will his love for his best friend be enough to get through this knot? And untie it? I hope Andy is not going to do anything stupid like out himself (well at least we know he survives even if he does). But he is so upset with himself at the moment and seems to realize for the first time that his choices may have ended something special in his life. Can he go on without Matt to help him? He depends so much on Matt.

    Chapter 26

Well, now Andy has given in to the temptation. Randy and Kyle didn't give him a fair chance really. What consequences could flow from this now? Lots of bad ones and nothing good, I fear. Matt is going well and now he and Thomas are making a plan to get together as friends. I fear that this will be the end of Andy. Enjoying the story. Thanks for writing. Reading your reply to Dawn it looks as though you've told us most of what is in the next chapter already. Pity. That always spoils the read if one knows what is about to happen. Part of the fun is to guess and see how close one was to what did happen. Spoil sport!

    Chapter 25

Well, we are seeing Matt gradually pull ahead on the QB prize. He also has a nice group of fans rooting for him. I liked that you made Andy overstep the mark and be replaced on the field. He's quite an arrogant sod at times, isn't he? But this made him sit up and realize he can't be complacent. And no sex is having an amazing effect on getting them focused, at least on the football. Hope their grades are improving too. Randy is headed for trouble. Just hope he's not being set up by one of these seniors and ends up pulling everyone down with him because of his selfishness.

    Chapter 24

Funny, you'd think as an English teacher I would have read "The Picture of Dorian Gray". It still awaits one day! But I have always enjoyed Oscar Wilde quotes. He wrote "The Importance of Being Ernest" I think. A very hilarious play. Anyway, back to our story. Some interesting things ahead as the trial comes up. Also will Matt succeed in gaining a place on the varsity team? (Did I get that right? I get very confused with your terms as varsity for me means university, but these are kids of 15 still with two or three years of schooling before they think of university). The USA education system is quite complicated to us foreigners and somewhat of a minefield. I think this grounding is going to be good for both Matt and Andy and maybe help them to gain some perspective on what they are doing and the direction their lives are taking.

    Chapter 23

I liked the first 2 quotes. They were powerful. The third you can throw out. It's cynical and meaningless and doesn't touch love. My opinion. Wow! Must say it turned out better than I thought it would, though I knew Andy would make up something and worm his way out of it. Poor Matt having to lie to protect his friends. That's a hard one, being caught between two loyalties, though in this case I think it also protected the parents. I'm not sure Matt's mom would have been able to deal with the truth, or his dad for that matter. There are times when a lie is kinder. I'm not good at that, and have often rushed in with all four feet and ended up with at least one in my mouth and left a wreck behind. That would have happened here had the truth come out at this point. Not sure that Andy's dad hasn't left it too late to make amends but he did make a good start, and if he continues he and Andy might yet repair some damage. I don't think Andy is at all convinced though that this is genuine or lasting. So time will tell whether Andy's dad has the stamina to prove his love or whether he'll end up taking the easy way out which will result in him losing Andy's love, which he has already all but lost. Your story is very thought provoking. I think that's why I am enjoying it so much. The characters are real too - that makes a huge difference to an enjoyable story.

    Chapter 22

I guess the games are over for the moment and it's time to grow up a little. Facing consequences brings reality to our door and how we deal with those consequences is the issue that makes us who we are. We grow and become better people, or we duck and dive and continue to run away from everything including our responsibilities. Certainly brings much food for thought.

    Chapter 21

Andy was quite the politician in his directions for this round, making sure that everyone was happy. Watching an episode like this on porn is a turn on, but reading all Andy's directions somehow shuts it off. I didn't find it much of a turn on at all. Maybe I'm also anxious about what this is doing to the participants and their relationships outside of this. I'm not into one night stands and you would have to be in order to appreciate that this is sex for the sake of sex. Though is it? Matt is not a one night stand person and no matter how his hormones are being stirred this foursome is going to affect him and probably not in a good way. Andy will not be affected by it much and nor will Randy. But Thomas will. Wonder what will happen. And now that Andy's dad knows something has been going on, what will be the result. Will he let it go or is he going to bring on the inquisition when he wakes up? That will give Andy some time to think and maybe come up with a plausible story and maybe get those sheets cleaned. This could be very bad for them but I guess they will worm their way out of the worst.

    Chapter 20

A very revealing chapter. They all wrestled with their demons and showed their true character, including Randy, who it seems is living up to his name in a big way. Unfortunately he is going the way of Dillon. He's allowing older boys to have their way with him and when he gets older is he going to be seducing the younger ones? Good on Andy. He did really well to resist the temptation of Randy. I didn't think he was going to be strong enough. This bodes very well for the future of Matt and Andy. Thomas will become a good friend to them both I think. Thomas knows how to behave at other people's houses and I think he left a good impression with Matt's folks in spite of his dad's suspicions.
  9. Jaro_423

    Chapter 19

Thomas is very like Matt. They think alike so they are bound to be attracted to each other. I like Thomas. If he and Matt can build a good friendship it will be good for them both, but I'm not sure Andy will let them, or even Randy. Will be interesting to get their perspective on what is happening here.

    Chapter 18

Hey, Lisa, well done! Would have been there with you! Interesting chapter. Hot but at the same time it was interesting to see how they managed it. It needed co-ordinating which took some of the spontaneity out of it and that's always an element of good sex. Perhaps if they did it more often they wouldn't be standing around wondering how to fit in, especially poor Matt. However, I get the feeling with the negative vibes going that this is not likely to be repeated. Randy's not happy with Thomas, Andy's not happy with Matt and Matt and Thomas are really being turned on by each other. What's taking place here is so far beyond what 13 to 15 year olds should be engaged in, as far as society thinks, so they are going places that are very dangerous if they are discovered. I hate to think what hell would break lose if a parent finds out.

    Chapter 17

It's strange picking up on the story a lot later as your comments about the burglarly are no longer relevant, though that was one big blow. Well, the foursome really got off to a bad start with Andy and Randy's impatience. Even their names are almost the same! That's funny! Hadn't thought of that before. And Matt and Thomas have always had a shine towards each other. Andy better be careful. He could lose Matt if he doesn't pay more regard for his feelings. It was right of Matt and Thomas to get into each other. Andy asked for that! This is not setting up a triangle but a rhombus! Haha! Apart from the jealousy it was a light chapter and a relief after all the stress. Oh, another thing: Andy is a big dick to even think of outing Matt without consulting him. I really hope he never does that. It would be a disaster for his relationship with Matt for sure. And why is he thinking that way - because he feels Matt is taking all the limelight. Sometimes I wonder about Andy. Maybe if this is really how he thinks Matt should move on! Damn! Andy, get your act together and be more respectful of your best friend and lover. I was quite pissed off about that.

    The Meeting

Well done! Glad to see you posted it OK. Keep up the good work!
  13. Jaro_423

    Chapter 16

As I said before, Matt is the man! He did a great job on and off the field. Gina has always half wondered about Matt's sexuality, so I don't think she'll be too surprised when she finds out he is gay, though she might be upset to think of him having sex with Andy all along. Perhaps that doesn't ever need to be told. And now for the foursome!
  14. Jaro_423

    Chapter 15

Wow! Wonder what happened with your reply to Lisa. It looks blank! Moving on, as we say! Matt seems to be making a way even at first practice and Andy is obviously in his element again. Shame that he was kept back, really, but perhaps, as you have indicated, his maturity gained from all this is making him so much better for the position than he was before. Matt's dad was so wise to have taken the whole agreement to the principal (and he was so well prepared he already had the copies to sign. Wow!) So Mills doesn't have much room to move. His changing Matt's locker is somewhat petty. He's probably entrusted the Jackass with the job of provoking Matt subtly - wouldn't surprise me! Matt was bold to stand up to Mills even if it didn't produce any result. I can see no matter what they throw at Matt, he's going to come through strong in the end and win out over these bigots. I have every confidence in him. He's much stronger than Andy. I had long thoughts about Dillon this morning and was feeling very grieved for him. Apart from his attempt at forcing Matt (which fortunately he was circumvented in pursuing and which was utterly wrong) he is really a victim too. A victim of molestation/seduction and of parental neglect. I hope you are going to come back to his story at some point, perhaps when his case comes to trial. Isn't the law so ridiculous that when he's 18 he can now be prosecuted for statutory rape but while he is under 18 he can get away with his seductions without any legal come-back. Something's not right there. Andy does need to be careful not to go the same way as Dillon. He would easily do that. I think Matt might be the influence that stops him going down that path. Thomas and Randy are also in grave danger of becoming exactly like Dillon too. Maybe the trial will wake them up to face some realities and responsibilities.
  15. Jaro_423

    Chapter 14

The whole USA football scene is so foreign to me so I can't really say what would work, in my opinion, for Matt, but I see that the choice is going to make big changes one way or another. I did have a chuckle at his abandoning his abstinence when he was stressed. And what a release sex is to stress - probably the best ever stress reliever! I see his not very resistant to the foursome any longer! Wow! I think I might be looking forward to that too!

    Haiku Happenings

Are yellowjackets some sort of insect? It is strange how that is so but it seems they find the deeper bowl difficult. I find the birds prefer a shallower bowl, more like a large saucer, in which they can stand easily and then dunk in the water and have a good flap.

    Doing the Tanka

Hey, thanks for reading and responding to my little efforts. I'm in the southern hemisphere so we are finally having warmer weather here. Yeah!
  18. Jaro_423

    Chapter 13

The conflict and the resolution in the counselling room is realistic I think, and even Crawford changing her tune is acceptable in the light of the threats. After all they nearly all did walk out and if it got bad there was nothing she could have done had they disregarded her. Fortunately she had the threat of suspension to bring them to their senses. It's encouraging that the prejudices are being chipped away and those that are open to changing their opinions are doing so.

    Chapter 12

A good chapter. I think the principal has done a wonderful job in containing this whole episode. It could have got so out of hand. Great chapter, and wonderful to see their friends standing with them. Lot's of positives here in the middle of their most difficult challenge to date. Keep up the great quotes. Very inspiring!

    Chapter 11

Damn good quotes! I'm liking this story more and more. Great chapter. Love winning over lust was shown in Matt and Andy's beautiful making out, the more so because Matt broke his vow in order to prove his love to Andy, again! And Andy had proved his love for Matt by resisting his lustful urges. Great stuff! Now the Monday morning hell test. And we've just done the bus run with such dramatics. Wow! So far they've weathered the first onslaught with the help of Mr Brown. Great start! Can't wait for the next chapter. So glad I don't have to! Haha!

    Hall Pass

Wow! Thanks for this chapter. Another fix for me! Yeah! I love your writing and I ended up reading half the last chapter again just to get located in the story, but also re-reading your chapters is as good as a first read. I will have to do that again with this story, I think, when you finish it. As always a very satisfying read. You take us so well through all the twists and turns of Corbin's world. It's complicated as he says. And it doesn't ever seem to come unravelled. Just when one thinks there's some light at the end of the tunnel one is whammed from another direction. Mike's final words to him are such a wham! Wow! I wish someone said that to me. God, Corbin, you can't let this man go. He's going to be there for you when the Englishman goes home and forgets all about you! I hate that English guy. I hate him for the hold he has over Corbin and that Corbin melts in his hands. He sleeps next to the guy, does nothing all night, and is a goo-ball in the morning over him. Huh!? Come on Corbin! Wish there was some cure for starry-eyed lovers which we could give Corbin to wake him up from this trance. Mike is no longer just about the sex. I have to say this. He and Corbs have a fantastic thing going in bed and out. But Mike has turned another corner and he's there for Corbs. He's doing this shitty lockdown because of Corbin and I wonder if Corbin really in the depths of his mind and being really, really appreciates that. I know he's admitted to it, but he hasn't gone to the depths to look at what it really means. This half-assed Englishman steps in again and Corbin can't think straight any more. Damn! I'm so fussed up over this! I want to shake him. Will this Englishman ever ever come up to scratch? Personally I think Corbin is chasing some stupid dream that has lodged in his brain and caused a major short-circuit that he can't see what he's letting go. Mike's given him permission to play the field while he's locked away but Corbin can't let go of this damned Englishman and he's the problem. So what Corbin's doing now is totally choosing this half-relationship with this stupid Englishman over Mike, the beloved, loyal, totally willing beautiful man that is going to change his life for Corbin. I can't believe it. Are you trying to prove that love is blind? Just reading through the reviews. Hey, Timothy M, fantastic review. I concur whole-heartedly. As you can see, I get so caught up in these guys and their story. You make it so real. Great job. Can't wait for the next posting. You rock, Jwolf man!

    Chapter 10

A really good chapter. Andy wrestled with his demons and won! Matt wrestled with his demons and won! This may seem like an empty victory for them both, but it's the start of the worst knots coming untied. Yes, yes, yes! They moving to a better place where they can tie some good knots that will last a lifetime. I am loving the way you are writing this story and the details and intricacies of their wrestling with their lust and their love. This is a damn good story. Well done! I'm not even too anxious about their Monday anymore because their concern with the internal things has been so very distracting. But we need to move forward and get through this Monday too.
  23. Jaro_423

    Chapter 9

Wow! Matt steels himself to make a break. He's tough! He'll win through in the end. He is cautious as his poem says, but that is so good too as it balances the risks. After all he took such a risk in opening up to Andy. I really think he is being so wise in this. Andy's aimlessness when he left was so real too. I know all about that! And you did a good job with it. I think this space is going to give them both a chance to readjust to the changes in their lives and to build something really good from here. Loving your story. It is challenging in its concepts. I love your quotes at the end of the chapters too. They are indeed food for thought.
  24. Jaro_423

    Chapter 8

Matt is so sensible and in spite of being confused about it all, he makes a decision and goes with it. I think Andy is so very lucky to have him as more than a best friend. They really do show an amazing love for each other and I can't believe it won't last through thick and thin. Even Andy is maturing amazingly. This week with Matt has done him wonders. I know the parents would think that Andy has corrupted Matt (if they knew what was going on) but actually Matt has influenced and brought stability to Andy's life in an amazing way. I don't know whether it is just that I am so caught up in the story now or whether it is your writing has grown and matured (sorry, don't take that as an insult) but your characters and the story are so good. I am recommending Knots on my status so at least those that are my friends here can see what I'm reading at the moment and maybe get to enjoy it too.
  25. Jaro_423

    Chapter 7

I was trying to put myself in the parent shoes and imagine how I would react to this happening to my son. I just couldn't get there. Don't know how I would have reacted or what I would have done/not done. You doing such a good job here with the parents as well as your main characters. And what will happen to Matt and Andy? Well, we do at least know they still friends (and maybe a whole heap more than just friends) some ten years later. That is such a comfort to know that. Glad for Andy that he has at least come clean with the parents. That must have lifted a huge burden off of him. Now Matt has to deal with his lying to his folks. Not sure how that will affect him.
