Just wait until they win an Oscar and CJ takes it into the office! We know he said that was his plan (in Ranger.)
I've tried to show CJ doing things because they're right and not for any publicity or monetary reasons. Some of it is based on someone I knew. An heir to a Midwest family, founders of a famous American brand. With all his money, a Duke education, and a law degree, he moved to South Florida to work for American Friends Committee helping immigrants. Peter chose a life of helping others instead of becoming a spoiled rich brat. I see a lot of the same in CJ.
Have I mentioned this before? I love playing with my characters!!!
Recent changes in GA about how to assign genres and tags to a story confirmed mine don't fit into any of them well. I'm writing for my enjoyment and the readers' and not for literary critics. This is popular fiction designed to entertain.
I got a craving for Anita Baker while plotting/writing the chapter (can't recall exactly) and she led to listening to Ella singing Cole Porter. It seemed like a perfect soundtrack for a Sunday afternoon wine tasting. Badu and the others ended up on a temporary playlist here. Glad you approve of the music choice.
Can't wait for CJ to spank the Russian. LOL
Liebe affects CJ and Owen's life and mine. I have to take her into account for plenty of scenes even if it's just to note the guys went out and left the kid with a sitter.
Whenever someone binges the entire series (three at this moment) I end up reading portions of old chapters and comments. You're absolutely right: they're a story upon themselves.
There may be one or two other multiple-posting weekends. I have a specific date I'd like to finish CDMX posting, so y'all may have to suffer. I want to post a different story on 6/19/22.
At least let's print some labels and slap them on wines we like.
I think the dislike's a general feeling. He doesn't show good people skills with CJ, but he's probably not as bad with others and he's probably efficient at his job. I have a feeling before the end of the book CJ will tell him to fuck off.
Thanks, Jeff. Although the basic personalities are the same, I'm trying to show CJ and Owen dealing with more mature subjects. As independent as he was while in college, CJ still had his parents around constantly, and a slew of friends. Now it's just him and Owen against the world. Thankfully, a few of the new people they meet will be around to help if they need it.
In high school, her classmates will be making a big deal out of getting their hands Boone's Farm while Liebe refuses to drink any wine with a rating lower than 90.
