    Unwelcome Guests

Not sure what all these people are talking about. Cliffhanger? I don't see cliffs or goats anywhere...
  2. I'm so glad you've enjoyed Ranger, Jeff. Next up is an entry for the GA Spring Anthology followed by Malibu. Starring Brett and Cesar, it'll be the first spinoff of members of The Elite. I'm so happy you like the cameos and snippets of other characters; I do the same in Malibu and will continue the practice in future books. As an aside, I thought of you a lot when I wrote a section of Malibu. Political commentary from the main characters. I may surprise you. LOL
  3. I have over 300 named characters in a series and without my spreadsheet (s) I'd be lost.

    The Story

Thoroughly enjoyable, Mr. Kess. Thank you.
  5. Happy birthday, Thorn.
  6. I thought that was all politicians, not only small town ones.
  7. After writing a story about a budding musician in a TV competition months ago, I still have Singer's soundtrack buzzing in my ears. I don't need any more. Please! After Cia's post on Monday, I binged on Timber Pack Chronicles. I'm ready for the interview and discussion. Wednesday blew my mind. Y'all see what a good question can do? Friday's word of the day made a few of us chuckle. Somehow, I'll work gasconade into a story soon.

    Groundhog Day

  9. LOL I had left that detail out and planned to mention it at a later time, but what the heck.
  10. I need a blanket warning for everything I've ever written!!!
  11. Keeping my fingers crossed. After a month of not feeling like writing, I decided to try putting down 250 words a day. It took me 4 days to write a scene and the first two 250 word installments had to be heavily revised. But it's a start and today I did 303 words. LOL
  12. Nice sentiment. But It doesn't answer the question of when is enough enough.
  13. What type of content requires these warnings? While some may want them on a certain subject, others could feel differently. At which point do we cross over into the ridiculous? Some might object every time a character calls another one asshole. Or they might object to someone masturbating? Should I add a warning whenever one of my characters calls someone else 'N-word', or fag? Those words are offensive and could be traumatic to some. When is enough enough?
  14. @Myr He's my type; the hairy chest always got me. Now, if I could just find something to stick in his mouth to keep him quiet... 😉
  15. Phil and Riley's story was a throwaway. Something I wrote to start off 2020 on a happy note. I didn't imagine then how much we would need lighthearted tales to help us cope with a pandemic. I did like them enough to spin them in for Ranger. I have nother story with them as the main characters, but I'm uncertain when I'll get to it. Before it sees the light of day, I have five others planned. ANd one of them's a long one. As for Brad, he won't be alone at Everhope. Wingnut will still live there. I very much doubt the Squad members remaining in Washington would allow him to close himself off, and Cristina and Carolina will also be around.
  16. Is Gaston in Beauty and the Beast a gasconade?
  17. One more chapter to wrap things up, and we're done. I wanted a couple of light ones to end the story. Brad's trials and tribulations may not be over, but his efforts are paying off, the fact he has potential new friends and a little girl that likes him should be an incentive to keep him working at improving himself. I;m sure the girl's mother also plays a part.
  18. @Kitt referenced a certain word that will be part of Liebe's vocabulary no matter how hard they try not to corrupt her. I mentioned somewhere Liebe will be a hellion. Just wait until CJ starts taking her to martial arts classes; I pity the fool that crosses her. Re-read Hail to the Chief, and between her dialogue and Brad's comments, we get an idea of how she turns out.
  19. We'll see. Bet you didn't expect to see them again this soon.
  20. Thanks, Tor!
  21. I think Brad expects CJ to pull this type of stuff. The fact he gets a nice place to live in for free doesn't hurt. And since he's helping out his 'brothers' I'm sure he'll be fine with it.
  22. Kids have a way of influencing adults without us always recognizing it. She liking Brad makes it so much easier for Cristina to work on a relationship with him.
  23. Thank you! One more chapter, but Brad will show up in futre spinoffs and definitely in the next official series story. Brad needs to continue working on his mind and body and at least he'll have two new friends to enrich his life.
  24. Tony, I write the type of stuff I like to read. Characters facing challenges I don't mind, but I like them to strive to overcome whatever obstacles they face. If I want miserable, suffering ones, I can watch the nightly news.
  25. It's been a couple of years since he lost his legs and he's ready to take control of his life.
