My tutor wants me to build an entire science sequence about hygiene to teach pupils the importance of being clean to protect ourselves against microbes. The idea was to make experiments with petri dishes (dirty hands, hands washed with only water and hands thoroughly clean with soap). I've spent part of the evening watching YouTube videos on how to make gelose, how to care of the petri dishes and all... Just to find out this kind of experience is now forbidden due to the risk of cultivating dangerous sources and they're propagation 🤡 I'm kinda relief cause I can only imagine what 6 years old carry on their hands

I'd say she's in her mid 40 so she's far from retirement. On the bright side she's following the strike on December 5th. At first she said I'd have to come to the school and do prep all day long ugh but we received an email from college saying that if our tutor is striking we get a free day without penalty

Today was the first day of a new internship with a class of 6 yo this time. At the end of the day it felt like thousands days had passed. First I had insomnia last night. Had about 3 hours of sleep of obviously when the alarm went off I said to myself 5 more minutes... Yeah we all know how it went... I woke up a 7h50 when I was supposed to be at the school between 8h00 and 8-10. I've never got ready so fast. I made it at the school by 8h20 (good thing it's not far). The teacher is nice but very "official", not very warm. I'm shocked cause she teaches the class while almost half of the kids are not listening, talking to each other. At one point one was even laying on his belly on his table and another one on the floor... She has already asked us to prepare tomorrow math and reading rituals plus the diagnosis evaluation I'll do (for my research mémoire), took up a whole science sequence about hygiene, one in sport and one in English! It's gonna be 3 loooong weeks

The one on Netflix. It aired this week. A dancer her fired from her dancing job in NY, comes home to her family music bar that's about to get buy cause no more money from it. There she meets the nice repair man helping her parents, they get close and she comes up with the idea of a dancing/strip show with said repair man, her brother in law and another guy working at the bar. The show is a hit, she gets called back to NY but decides to stay in the little town with her new lover and to be close to her family
