  1. Yeah, a new kind of poison I had the "pleasure" to see it earlier...
  2. Bonjour Terry Thanks, I'd send you some pears if i would'nt be worried about ruining your denture Those prices are crazy! But well I'm guessing you're enjoying some nice exotic fruits. Dad brought that pear tree years ago from a job site. Mom would make a bit of pear sauce for the kids but otherwise we wouldn't care about it much but 2 years ago I saw someone steal the fruits at night I thought "ok, if they're stealing the damm rocks it means there's something to do with them". I did some recipes researches and here we are. Great-aunt loves them, especially the juice my brother used them in smoothies too.
  3. That looks nice. Mine are poached in 800g of sugar and 2 tea spoons of vanilla extract for 1 lier of water. Cooked in light boiling water for 12 to 15 minutes. It's simpler so they can be used in many different recipes or on a crêpe with chocolate sauce or just straight out of the jar. With 22 pears I did 10 jam jars.
  4. Naughty, naughty Gary!
  5. Unfortunately they're not the good kind of hard, more like the kind that'd broke your teeth
  6. I'm poaching pears to preserve in sirop. It's the only way this variety is edible, otherwise they are too hard.
  7. It was okay in my side. Just once this morning but for like a minute. Weird.
  8. Enjoy your early morning T and fingers crossed for some great results

  15. In other news my uncle saw his sister (mom's siblings) and she said she's feeling exclude from the family since my mom passed away well no shit Sherlock! But she's still not questioning herself, her actions and words. Oh and they talked about the great-aunt and my aunt is convinced the great-aunt aunt is hiding things from her well great-aunt has all her head, so she says whatever she wants to whoever she wants. I have no parts in that. Yes I've talked to great-aunt about building a case for help for handicapped people (having Parkinson and being 75 she's right to) to get a parking card and a cleaning service. But even that is not her business, great-aunt will tell her, or not, it's not a secret but not something she absolutly needs to know about. Grrr anyways clearly I'm not about to get close to her again and being in the garden helped get all that frustration out of my system. Today was a holiday here. I hope you all had a nice day
  16. Spent a few hours puttering around in the vegetable garden. I hadn't felt very motivated about it lately but it felt really good. With the extreme heat the last few days the tomato plants are pretty much fried. I've let them for the moment, for the last fruits to mature even though I don't have much hope. The zucchini suffered a lot too, fruits roting prematurely but someone told me there's still hope as long as there's still leaves and flowers so 🤞 I've taken off the green beans plants and replanted the new ones. Hopefully they'll gift us with more veggies until mid September to early October is the weather is good. And I've got sweet potatoes! They are far from being ready to be harvested but curiosity got the better of me and I've spent like 45 minutes scratching the ground ground see that red skin
