  14. Same with notifications for the parents. To summarize all the official documents from the ministry To find ideas of sentences to used the words of the week I give my students to learn the spelling of. Writing it I'm realizing it's making us lazy. Sure it's practical and fast but we don't use our brain anyone
  15. I bet you cook them nice meals, they're lucky.
  16. Do you see them like deal with them? Or are you "just" preparing the food and then hiding in your kitchen? Some people often say that teach in France only work from 8.30-11.30/1.30-4.30 4 days per week for 32 weeks but we have meetings and trainings on our lunch breaks or after class, at the end of the day it rings at 4.30 but the time it takes for the students to collect their stuff and go to the gate and masking sure everyone go out safely it's more like 4.40 at best. Then preparing contents for the next day, meetings with parents, mandatory academic support groups. We're also nurses, psychologists, referee, social workers... Some say working in education is like a bad marriage, we stay for the kids. I have the degree level of an engineer but with a pay just above the minimal salary and they wonder why some little people want to be teacher. Some days are harder than other but I love my job and I wouldn't do anything else. Rant's over
  17. ugh waking up earlier for a parent teacher meeting cause I butted head with the mother of a student on Monday... Her son barely write, he's struggling with writing so I've made some propositions like him using a computer but he refused. On Monday he only wrote 2 words in an hour! So I got mad cause ok he's struggling but he doesn't make any effort either, he can spend all day doing nothing. When I said to the mother that I wanted an official meeting to come up with a solution and to put it in words in his academic record she got pissed. The headmaster will be there too to support me.
