    Chapter 7

Mr. Hartley is a right-wing, Conservative/Reform UK politician. He has spent his entire career complaining about unions and strikes ruining the British economy. Now, he has paid a fortune for a luxury tropical holiday, and he cannot get a frozen margarita or a working golf cart because of a literal monster trade union strike. Watching a Tory politician try to apply 1980s Thatcher-era union-busting tactics to a horde of Gremlins who eat engine blocks is comedic gold. "I don't care about your collective bargaining rights regarding fiber-optic cables in Hell! I want the air conditioning turned back on in my cabana!"

Something that profitable, of course the corporation will. Season two needs more explosions though... and maybe a confession booth.

    Chapter 20

Davis was all about the show. Justin kicked his ass.... off screen because I don't think we needed to see Justin beating a middle aged history teacher with a tire iron on page... just know that it was satisfying.

    Chapter 20

There we go, NOW it's complete Now, please review, recommend if you want to (hit the little medal button next to where the smiley faces are at the end of a chapter. It's black with a white medal... you know the one... push it... I dare you. Thank you for reading, this one was a bit of a dark one, but I hope thought provoking. oh and: good morning

    Chapter 20

Chapter 21: The Bait and The Hook The Miller Grain Silo was a cathedral of rust and regret. Sunlight, thick and heavy with a billion swirling dust motes, stabbed through the corroded holes in the corrugated steel roof, illuminating the vast, cavernous interior where Justin Miller stood alone. Each beam was a solid, golden pillar in the gloom, highlighting the skeletal remains of conveyor belts and the ghostly outlines of faded safety warnings on the walls. The air was a dr

Now where might they get a couple of extra pairs of hands, that might or might not be completely overlooked by the audience. :: whistles and kicks the can along:

    Chapter 7

I long ago learned not to discount what ticks another person's yum. So you never know, might be right up their alley... certainly Charlie as a thing for Doughy Septuagenarian academics... And Lynix enjoys the unconventional... Matt and Simon their a bit Matt/Simon-sexual at the moment, only eyes for each other.

    Chapter 19

For me it is surgery on my jaw, which had me wheeling about and careening halfway across the country to some Really lovely nurses who took lovely care of me, got me x-rayed, set and ready. But they need a specialist to come in... meaning surgery is postpoined till that Specialist is available. Which is something I love about the British NHS, the people IN it are sweethearts. It's the mismanagement that is killing it, not the people working hard to get things done.

    Chapter 7

Good point. Cecil (who you will meet in a future book) has very strong opinions on who should date whom, and the Great Lord of Darkness will not be denied. Unless it's Mister Binkie, in which case, Mr. Binkie is free to make his own choices. *SQUEAK*

    Chapter 7

Tyler and Charlie are very much not into each other, to the point of actively disliking the idea. So no, no throuple. Still, this mess will take a couple of books to sort out.

    Chapter 7

Charlie is very much into his Tweed-adjacent quasi Boyfriend type thing in his old body. and with the pink mist turning the hormones up to 11, they're in sticky trouble.

  14. Chapter Eight: The Resistance Dawn broke over Leamington Spa like a bad hangover—reluctant, grey, and deeply apologetic. Taine had been awake for hours. He'd watched the pink dome glow through his window all night, imagining Tyler on the other side of it, trapped with a goddess who wanted him for breeding stock. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw Tyler's face in that last moment—desperate, afraid, but still shouting for Taine to save the others. He'd fi

    Chapter 19

No it's a me thing, I am old, sleepy, and distracted and miscounted chapters... I was rereading this chapter and thinking to myself "This isn't right, this isn't how this book ends... (Bear in mind I wrote this Last summer and the nature of my writing means I tend to forget some of what I have written as I move on rapidly.) And I opened the folder and realized two more chapters were sitting there and... yep... I was senile.

    Chapter 19

The gravel pit was supposed to show how they are doing this... but I feel you, the chapter does feel a bit out of synch. Nature of flash back sequences in a chapter. I'll try to keep things linear from now on. I was trying something, and it doesn't quite work. Shame.

    Chapter 19

You're going to laugh at me, but there are two more chapters to this... It is far too early in the morning and I mis counted... um... ignore the status... next chapter tomorrow :: sheepish look of exhaustion:: I have surgery today so I've been distracted.

    Chapter 19

Chapter 20: The Break-Up The first sensation was the taste of blood. Not real blood, but the phantom metallic tang of it, coating his tongue like a premonition. The second was the silence. It was a physical weight, pressing down on the locked handicap stall, so profound it seemed to swallow the sound of his own ragged breathing and the frantic, rabbit-quick pulse of Ben beside him. Tim Chen sat on the cold tile floor of the second-floor boys’ bathroom, the Blue Archivist lapt
