Tabby's got his own issues, he lives outside, on a hammock in what was a little old ladies back garden.
For Peter's nephew, something's up there. :: whistles innocently and kicks a stone into the pond to watch the ripples ::
**Chapter 4: The Shed and the Ghost**
The high of the coffee and the mechanical victory lasted exactly three hours.
By the time the afternoon sun began to beat down on the Doily Dungeon, baking the gingerbread trim, Alvin was crashing. The scones were gone (Tabby had eaten four, claiming his metabolism ran on "furnace rules"), and the reality of his situation was settling back in like a heavy, wool blanket.
He was bored.
He had fixed the compost. He had nearly dr
I don't like Cliche, unless it's exploding shower heads... so you know. I don't like the predictable and tired tropes.
Ben fascinates me at points. And the point of Riley's comments in the last chapter should provide evidence of Ben's existence.
Ballsy if he did. I mean, posting it to the door like that, in the middle of a housing estate in England... and the fact that no one touched it... that's the crucial part.
But you are presuming Ben is actually real, he might not be as @Jeff Burton suspects. I mean, Kieran could be having a mental breakdown. :: shrugs ::
Everything, EVERYTHING Ben has said has been interpreted and projected upon him by Kieran.
His intentions will become clear, it's the point of the story. Right-then-Riley is just as important as Ben is because, as we see in this chapter, Kieran is starting to crack with Rye. Some people just worm their way past the defenses and take root right where they want to be.
:: pouts :: My bottle of Baileys just ran dry... meaning I am tea-totalling again for the next year. Ahh well, discipline is knowing my limits and knowing what I am allowed and not allowed.
Good news, less K-pop Space Twinks till next year.
Chapter Four: The Silent Contract
The routine set in with the terrifying ease of a chronic illness.
Wednesday morning began not with a bang, but with a rustle. At 9:00 AM sharp, Riley scratched at the door. When Kieran opened it, Riley didn't breeze in with his usual nervous chatter. He was furtive, shoulders hunched, eyes darting left and right down the corridor as if he were carrying a kilo of heroin.
He slipped inside and moved straight to the kitchenette. He was carrying a
Alvin is so outclassed by the town, by Tabby and by his Granny that he is comedic gold. Plot a New York alley cat in the countryside and watch him have a meltdown.
Tabby is a Vibe, man, I think he equally has no idea what to do with Alvin. They are very much the opposite of each other. It's going to be interesting once you all get into Granny's plan for Tabby. He isn't safe, as much as he likes to think he's the one in control.
I’m starting to feel like granny set this all up then kicked the bucket on purpose.
You know she's in Florida right now, getting a tan and being flirted with by old grandpa's playing shuffleboard.
