Five Aggregates, five Static streams. you've met at least two of the holders, possibly a third. By where I am Chapter 17 of book two, only 3 have been revealed. Two left. Idea, Matter, Self... Buddhist Ideals I've played around with a bit. You have seen every single Static Stream so far. As for Factions, the Kulai, The Stalkers, The USMC-X, the Council, and the Sylerikon. All of which have been mentioned up to this point in the book. There may be more. You should see the Happy Hippos, and then there is the obligatory Taco Bell faction.

It is an awful, but fun habit of mine. I swear I don't do it on purpose. I just collect things that people leave, or lend and never ask back. or gift to me. I am looking across my living room now at at least four of them in sight. One of them is a little stuffed dragon that I earned twenty six years ago, and is still sitting on a shelf. He's been around the world with me, and is one of the oldest personal items I own. (I have a pair of two hundred year old Spectacles on that shelf, so you know, not the oldest thing in my house)

Eli is again, a stand out character. The depth you have given him in this chapter goes a long way to explaining why he doesn't give up. I am scared that the guy he was talking about was Rowan.

I like also in this chapter, that the Aggregate of Idea is beginning to wake up inside Hugo. Those flashes of insight, his sudden subconscious mastery of languages...

Dale Thorburn, he was a mountain of a man. Him and his assistant coach, Gordi, were amazing in their time. Legends at our school. Dale was a bit of a dick off the ice, always somewhere else. But when it came to his team, his boys, he was a fierce beast of a man. I have seen that man snatch victory from defeat in exactly this way. I've said before, my first job was working at that hockey rink, I was a Hockey official, Goal judge and a trainee referee. I worked directly for Gordi and Dale. Matt, Matt, Matt... Matt "I'm straight but my boyfriend is gay" Matt... Stubborn, refused outright to tell anyone that we were dating, even though he would be the one to demand dates... out in public, in front of the same people he'd flatly deny he was gay in front of... give him a beer and woops sloppy drunk. He was 16, I was 17, it was still illegal in the UK to be gay under 21 back then. But, you know, screw it right? Matt and I continued to see each other regularly, he'd be over on a Friday night like clockwork, Vietnam movie... oh look at the time, can I sleep over... oh no look what happened... but I am totally straight. Poor guy, again, too young to really have worked anything out. I was a passenger along for the ride in that one. That and oh boy was his best friend a grade A bitch to me... He ended up moving away a few months later, off to Gurnsey. Lesbians, not something a gay story really wants to start out with, but here we are. Let me start by saying Lesbians, on the whole, are just awesome people. Sure we can all get a bit intimidated by women like Sue, six foot tall, built like a linebacker, volunteer firefighter, and genuine all around bad-ass. I mean not as a spoiler, but Stoker is a ball of Chaos to write, REFUSES to do what he is told on a page. The next chapter surprised the heck out of me writing it, and breaks the brains of everyone at the trial. ESPECIALLY poor old Hugo, who is learning, all be it slowly, that Stoker is as much his equal in so many different ways. Except stinky socks, those are all Hugo's.

I feel it is important, with this and the next chapter, to show that Stoker isn't just a side-kick, that he's Hugo's partner both in love and in this great game (He is still convinced he's on some kind of twisted game show and you lot are watching)
