1. Heheh! Sweet! Are those rumors about Shawn being gay still going around? I could totally see that! ::Giggles:: These two need a fanfic!
2. Nah, it was supposed to be the last chapter, but there's more to come. I'm trying to keep them all between 3000 and 3500 words if I can, and I start having fun 'in the moment', so it ends up longer than expected. But I'm trying to wrap it up and still have the progression feel 'natural' and not rushed, you know?
3. https://gayauthors.org/story/comicality/give-it-to-me-straight/ The new chapter is up! Enjoy! And be sure to let me know what you think when you get a chance! K? Love you all!
4. "Give it To Me Straight 3" Waking up the next morning was bit frustrating for me. I didn't even drink that much last night, but I still felt a bit sluggish regardless. Not to mention that my phone announcements kept going off with one message after another. It had to be Silas. Who else would it be? Barely opening my eyes, I felt around on the dresser next to my bed until I was able to grab my phone. I rubbed my eyes to check out his texts, and he said, "What happened with Ricky las
5. Thanks a ton for your replies, you guys! Love ya lots for the personal point of view!

7. = Comicality@shackoutback.net "Jesse-101" Online Celebrity Chapter Twenty Nine: "Pray For Sunshine" I sometimes have to ask myself if I'm leading Scotty on, or if my random acts of kindness could be construed as a possible act of cruelty. It really isn't my intention at all, but if I can just get him to follow me over to Jesse's house for just one afternoon, I might actually be doing him some good. You know? That's the honorable way to go, isn't it? I know that i

10. "My One True Weakness 7" It was a full body shiver that made me slow down my steady pace as I approached Colin's locker. It was almost as if my nervous jitters were trying their best to 'shake' the extreme tension out of my tightly knotted muscles before they snapped themselves in two. It was more than just a touch of fear...it felt more like a muffled version of outright terror...but warmed over with the brilliant light of extreme joy at the anticipation of getting to talk to him
11. I'm sorry to hear that you had such a rough time. It can be hard to get over something like that, but don't give up on love. It really is out there. As they say, "Love is not in our choice, but in our fate." ((Hugz))
12.
I think that I've always been a hopeless romantic at heart, even when I was too young to know what that meant. So my feelings have always run very deep for the people I care abut and the ones that I love. But when I was discovering those feelings for the very first time, I was also dealing with a lot of other issues that kept me afraid of really pursuing some of the boys or girls that I had the biggest crushes on at the time. I'd like to think that I would have had a lot more courage if I didn't have so much chaos going on in my head...but, such is life. You know? When I write my stories, a lot of that past angst and doubt and self consciousness resurfaces in a major, and I just remember feeling that way. I'm often baffled by readers who say, "It's been a whole week already! Why doesn't he just ask him out on a date and get it over with?" WHAT??? Hahaha! Was my experience really THAT different from everybody else's? The very notion of asking a girl out, and CERTAINLY if it came to asking out another BOY...was the most terrifying idea in the WORLD to me at the time! WTF? Not only could I have my heart shredded and my dreams smashed to pieces, but then I'd have to continue to see that person every single day for the next few years. And I'm not even going to mention the threat of having my broken heart paraded around the halls of the entire school, which...when you're a teenager, might as well be the whole world. Reputation is everything. As if I didn't have enough to deal with. So yeah, there are some regrets that I have about not taking a few chances on a couple of people that I think would have said yes. There was actually one girl that I remember from the 4th grade even, Jennifer, that I followed all the way home on the last day of school, because I didn't know how I was going to go an entire Summer without her. LOL! Because...kid logic. Now that I think about it, that's pretty creepy, hehehe, but I was just trying to get up the nerve to talk to her, and maybe trade phone numbers or something. But I walked behind her the whole way, and she was with a couple of her friends, and she got to her house and went inside and I just...kept walking. She used to smile at me on the playground all the time though, and I was so sweet on her, but I chickened out. Oh, and there was that one girl, Karen, that I actually joined the soccer team for. Just to be close to her. (We had a co-ed soccer team. I think this was about 6th grade) There was a boy, Gabe, the I think was the first boy that I really fell hard for. I was about 10 or 11 years old, and I liked boys before, but this time it was like..."I know what this is. And I do NOT just want to be his friend." And I actually started talking to him a lot more, and we'd hang out at his house or at mine. No parents at home. But...again, I chickened out. Years later, he did come out of the closet and said that he was gay when we were in our 20's or something, but I often think back and wonder what if? You know? Another one that I really wish I had spoken up and taken my chances with was Ed. Now Ed was actually one of the reasons that the Shack Out Back site exists today. Hehehe! It's true! We were both 22/23 years old, but he had a babyface that made him look 16, tops. And we were both working at the same place, and we just hit it off right away. Everything about him was so perfect, and we would often hang out until sunrise at his house and just talk and laugh and have a good time. I was convinced that I was head over heels in love with him at one point, and kept looking for signs and signals and trying not to write it all off as wishful thinking. And we would have these little 'moments' sometimes. Where I almost felt like, "This is it! Tell him! Do it now!" But I never did. But something tells me that Ed and I would have probably gotten together if one of us had something. And I wish it was me. So yes, I have had quite a number of people that 'got away' from me growing up, and I've gotten a bit more brave since then. But I'm not really worried about it. I'm happy with my life the way it is now, and any one of those situations could have taken me down a completely different path. One that would be unrecognizable to the path I'm on today. So I'll deal with what I've got now and be proud of the journey that brought me here. That's all there is to it.
13. Hehehe...care to elaborate?
14. As we grow and learn to navigate our way through life, gain a little experience, and a bit of wisdom...it can be easy to look back at a younger version of ourselves and pick out our flaws and mistakes...and our missed opportunities. Especially when it comes to love. But don't stress yourself out about it. We were all different people back then. And hindsight is 20/20, after all. When you're lost in the moment, it's easy to forget the nervous jitters, the suffocating expectation, the sweaty palms...love can be a HORRIFYING experience those first few times! LOL! And while we may look back and wonder what we were so afraid of in the first place...that didn't make things any easier when we were living through it. This time, we're talking about the 'ones that got away' from us. That beautiful person that we really wished we had approached, or talked to, or confessed our deepest desires for...but just never took the leap of faith. Do you regret it? How do you think it would have turned out if you HAD asked them out on a date, or told them how you felt about them? If you could go back in time and give your younger self a nudge in the right direction...what would you say? Now, this is assuming, of course, that you actually have any regrets when it came to relationships when you were young. Maybe you didn't. Maybe you were bold enough to go for it, each and every time, and make no apologies...whether the outcome was for the best or for the worst. If that's your story, tell us that too! We'd love to hear it! And so might anyone else who might be reading this. Give us your thoughts! As always, anonymous entries are welcome. And all answers will be added to a future issue of Imagine Magazine! Cool? Type away! The world is listening!

18. He's only nine years old, about to be ten next month...and some of my family members have been trying to spend time helping him read past a 3rd grade level. But...ummm...I hate to say it, but they have been going about ALL wrong! I didn't even know he had trouble reading until last week, and my aunts and uncles have been trying to force him to read for an hour a day, and pronounce words phonetically, and sit him down and stop him from having fun, like..."Time to read now!" I mean...the kid is NINE! Fun is the only thing he knows to a certain extent. So, when I heard about this, I sat down with him a few times this week, and he's been here almost every day since last Friday. And I don't boss him around, and I don't try to force him to read anything. But we do live in an age where everything is digital media and all, which is what he's used to. So I got on the laptop, and I showed him clips from the X-Men movies. (He has NO idea what the X-Men are! WTF??? Blasphemy!) And I told him that they were always my favorites growing up when I was his age. But I started with the media first. Some fight scenes, some character intros, and I hope to get him started on the 90's cartoon next week. He was AMAZED! LOL! He says Nightcrawler is his favorite. Awwww! ANYWAY...he knows that I have a huge stash of comic books here at the house, and I gave him some to take home and read on his own. He gobbled them up in a single evening! So today, I gave him five more, and he read some out loud while sitting next to me, and he sounds more interested and more involved than ever before. Sometimes he was racing through some parts because he wanted to hurry up and turn the page. It just made me feel good to see him excited about it, you know? Sometimes, you just have to inspire a real 'passion' within somebody to get them to evolve. You can't just sit them down with a boring textbook and expect them to get it. Because he's had his eyes tested, and he's been tested for dyslexia, and all, but that was never an issue. When I first heard him reading, I could tell that he could see the words and figure out how to pronounce them and figure out what they meant...but it was all 'technical'. His imagination hadn't been triggered. He was reading it like the instruction on the side of a medicine bottle. That's not what makes reading fun. So, I'd stop him every page or two and ask him "Ok, so what's happening right now?" And at first, he couldn't tell me. Just flat pictures and hollow words. It's like, "Explain it to me. What does the villain want to do? What are the heroes saying? What are the stakes? Tell me." And in no time at all, his mind started painting the picture it needed to keep him interested. Of course, I'm probably going to end up giving him more and more comic books over the next few weeks, and I'm going to have to search my closet to get them all in order, lol! But he's reading now. And I'm glad! Although I have to be careful...because I have mostly mid to late 80's/early 90's comics...and there's a lot of sex and drama and blood and murder in all of them! But, he's doing better with what he's read in the past week than he has with the stuff they've been giving him since the beginning of Summer. So I'll hope for the best. I'm also teaching my cousin, Christian, how to draw. Hehehe! Don't know how good I'll be at that. He loves Naruto and anime, and my artwork comes from a whole different era, but maybe he'll find a cool hybrid in between! Anyway, that was just something that made me feel good today. Figured I'd share! No matter what it is...reading, drawing, singing, writing...skill is flat without PASSION! Find the passion first! The rest you'll develop with practice! Love always! Mwah!
19. Hahaha! Ok...so maybe this would be TOO many people for the same army! LOL! I think that battle would be over in about 12 seconds!
20. That thing is so....erect! The monument, I mean!
21. The Marvel universe, after DECADES of being split apart by corporate red tape and greedy garbage...is ALMOST back together! Not quite (AHEM!!! Waiting on *YOU*, Sony Pictures!!!), but we're close! Avengers and all of its spinoffs have proven themselves, BLADE is getting rebooted and brought into the fold, the X-Men are home again, Spider-Man is back where it belongs (temporarily, anyway), we might actually get a GOOD Fantastic Four movie for once, and Ryan Reynolds is staying on as Deadpool!!! Also, recently confirmed, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and The Punisher, are coming back for Disney+!!! I hope they keep the same cast! Rumors say that John Bernthal is in talks to come back as the Punisher, so I hope they also keep the other series cast members too. Please bring back Luke Cage and Iron Fist too! Moon Knight is coming! Ghost Rider is coming! Maybe Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. with a much bigger budget? GAH!!! I can't even imagine having all of my childhood faves back in the same place and timeline again! I don't think my heart can take it! But...like I said...AHEM... Waiting on YOU Sony!!! Greedy sons of bitches! Sighhhh...welcome home boys and girls! Good to see you all back at the same party!
22. ::moves Ruel's cute floppy blond hair out of the way:: ::Lightly kisses his lips:: ::Faints::
23. It's just an older story from a few years ago that I never posted here. So, I figured, it's Halloween! Why not? Enjoy! And let me know what you think! I'm waiting for "Darkness Waits" to pass its content review on Amazon at the moment, and that will be available in the ebook section when it goes live! I'll be sure to make an announcement when it goes live. It takes anywhere from 12 to 36 hours, but I honestly expected it to be up already. But keep checking back! It's out there somewhere! https://gayauthors.org/story/comicality/elixir/

"Elixir" "Danny? Are you sure you're alright?" My mom asked me at the dinner table. "You've hardly touched your beef brisket tonight. I thought it was one of your favorites?" "Huh? Oh..." I mumbled in response. I looked down to notice my hand limply holding my fork, the prongs doing little more than pushing bits of uneaten food from one side of my plate to the other. "I'm sorry, Mom. I guess I've just got a lot on my mind at the moment." I forced myself to take another bite o
