  1. Mark, I truly hope that all resolves itself quickly and that your hiatus is indeed brief. I will keep you in my thoughts and will be on the lookout for when you are able to post new chapters to continue both of your sagas. Keep well and know that we all appreciate everything you do for us. Best to you and yours. Jack
  2. I too am suffering from withdrawal and am quite anxious to learn more. However, I am more anxious about Mark. This is so unlike him to allow so much time to elapse before his next posting. I just hope that he is okay a d just quite involved with his work and just can't send us more for now.
  3. I too have found this chapter to be an emotional roller coaster. I just started read this series within the past month or so. I have been following a couple of other stories on the site and while waiting for new chapters to be posted, I look for longer continuing sagas to read. I came across The Castaway Hotel and aside from the exceptional quality of the story and the great depth of character development, what struck me as odd was that there were very few comments posted as chapters were published. As I sit here with red eyes and a trash container full of tissues, I realized that I just had to let you know that I am greatly moved by this story and fell in love with the Currie family. I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your efforts and look forward to reading the rest of the series. Jack
  4. Well, I don't know what more I can say to add to all of the superlatives already stated. Indeed what sums it all up best is what Mickey said almost one year ago, "Circumnavigation" has been "one hell of a ride." I came across this story when I clicked on the Longest Stories link. I was all caught up on stories posted by another of my favorite authors, Mark Arbour, and wanted to read something new and now C James is among my list of favorites. Since Circumnavigation was complete, I was able to read it all without waiting on new chapters, my preferred way of reading. I am so pleased that I started reading about Treavor's adventures. Superbly written, thoroughly researched and in addition to enjoying all of the excitement, I learned a lot about the various ports of call, customs procedures, and sailing. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for sharing Circumnavigation with us.
  5. To Mark and associates: OMG!!! What more can I say that has not already been said so eloquently by all my fellow fans and readers of CAP and other sagas that have been borne from the imagination of such a fertile mind as that of our beloved auithor, Mark. To all of his assoicates that have contributed to the publication of what has been up to now an amazing journey through the lives of JP's family, my heartfelt thanks. I am so looking forward to the next book in the CAP series. If it were not for my journey along side of Lord Granger in Bridgemont, I would be at a complete loss, not knowing where to turn to next. Mark, I have almost finished book six in the Bridgemont series (about 60% complete) so I beg of you to not wait too long before you regale us with our next adventure. I remain one of your most loyal fans. Jack

    Chapter 74

WOW!!! What an uplifting chapter. Even through it started out with JJ depressed and hurting, I am so happy that with the help of Zack and Will he will come out of this crucible a better young man. And what about Frank? He has finally got it. I too am pleased that his character is coming out, so to speak. He has been in the background far too long and is showing himself to be the "MAN" who is loving and supportive, and who is now earning the respect and love from others. Mark, what a great chapter. One additional comment about the degree to which you research information. I am a native of northern NJ and the places you describe, the names of the towns and the identity of Don Bosco high school, are all accurate and provides the authenticity to your writing that is often lacking in stories written by others. Such detail about New York City is not unusal or surprising, but detail about northern NJ is amazing. Thanks for a great chapter.

    Chapter 73

Mark, Thank you for posting Chapter 73. I was pleased to find that there was not as much turmoil as in past chapters. I liked Will apologizing to Frank. Although Will might be doing it to some extent to try to calm down the family, I think that he is beginning to realize that Frank's weekend with Matt was only a start to Frank's recovery from his loss. Will recognizes that JJ desperatly needs help because up to this point, JJ has focused on skating as an escape so he would not have to come to terms with his emotions. I think some of this insight into JJ has helped Will to recognize Frank's need for help as well. I hope that Will becomes the man that would make JP, Stef, and Brad proud and helps JJ and Frank face their demons. On another note. Your response from my comment in Chapter 72 regarding the presence of several academics here in the forum made me wonder if they too recalled pleasant memories when they read the very first book of the CAP series describing JP's adventures in campus T-Rooms. I recall a number of my own adventures meating up with many hot and horny jocks and afterwards, sending them on their way, drained and completely satisfied. OH MY, those were the days. So until you post the next chapter, I will be reading your other stories and series. Thanks again for all your efforts to keep us smiling.

    Chapter 72

What a ride this has been this past month. I first started reading the Chronicles Saga when it first appears on "Nifty" some time back, then I lost track of the story only to come across it once again about six weeks ago. Since then I have been able to read all twelve completed books and up through chapter 72 of the current book, 9-11. One of the benefits of reading this straight through is the continuity of the story and watching not only the plot, but the characters develop as the story and time line progresses. I can only describe what I have read so far as FAN F#&KING TABULOUS. Emotionally, I have laughed so hard till tears came to my eyes; I have experienced raw fear during kidnapping and violence activities; witnessed incredible love shared between lovers and family members; experienced anger to the point that I wanted to scream, and found myself being short tempered with others; and felt the deep terrible emotional loss of loved ones. Mark, thank you for guiding me on this journey to experience this entire spectrum of emotions. I am enjoying and will continue to enjoy the journey witnessing the lives of this incredible family. Your writing skills are superb, and speaking as a college professor, the character dynamics and politics in the academic settings are spot on. The characters are richly painted with great detail, especially the flaws. Others have expressed their opinions about some of the latest dynamics between family members and how they would have hoped that you would have taken a different direction in the interactions between these folks. I respect those who have expressed their opinions and sometimes agreed that certain actions might have been a bit over the top, or whould have hoped that certain characters should have handled things differently. Nevertheless, this is your story and they are your characters and you have to develop them and the story lines as you see best. I am so looking forward tto reading future chapters and see how things develop. I also would like to say that I appreciate reading the reviews that have been posted presenting additional insight into the characters and their motivations. I think it really helps to consider these comments to help understand these complex personalities. I am sole interested to see if any of the plot suggestons are actually incorporated into the story. Please keep up the great work and post as often as you can.
