I'm glad to see this story get a little love breathed back into it.

The Unlovable Corbin Crowley
Tim23832 commented on Jwolf's story chapter in The Unlovable Corbin Crowley
This has to happen. Corbin needs to recognise his own pattern, and want to change it, before he can change. Whether it's one of his brothers, Mike, or another former lover, he's in the right place. He just needs a friend for now, not a mate. -
I started looking for something from my favorite writers this week, and here is this. I'm thrilled! Here's to three more weeks!
-
Uh, not if she doesn't feel like it. Not appearing suggests the Dean isn't interested in supporting the student that asked for her testimony, but staying up to 1am to speak in secret to them does matter. It's clout if she does that. SEC president, same. Taking time out of your busy day to help someone who asks for it is a gift, let those who observe take note that you are a friend.
-
<< “I thought it was great,” he replied. “As the president of the SEC, I’ve seen situations like this play out on campus, but I’ve never seen six guys of that nature brought to heel in one fell swoop. It was a masterclass, even for me.” I nodded. I didn’t say anything, and allowed Ryan to continue. “This kind of stuff never happens when there’s a rape on campus. Honestly, calling a rape never even happens, and yet somehow Corbin was able to get these guys to agree to do things that never happen on campus. They issued apologies, they agreed to attend the summit, and then at the emergency IFC meeting, he had enough balls to get the entire Greek leadership to get behind some changes. What happened was unfortunate, and I’m sure your brothers’ involvement doesn’t sit well with all of you. But what happened after… that can’t be understated.” >> I wasn't tearing up, you were tearing up. Good isn't always clean or neat or open. Corbin went above and beyond his duty to help the frat and 'ODU', despite his brothers' interest in self-serving or maintaining their (fallen) place. Hutch, remember that this can happen to you, too, and maybe you deserve it as much as Corbin.

The Interrogation of Michael Anthony Loggerman, Cadet

We both know I don't read minds, but I do remember and cherish wrongs against me (please don't tell my sponsor). Serve cold... -

I hope Corbin gets his revenge when it's time to elect a new chapter president. The threat alone should be memorable. -

I don't see it. Dom and Hutch had power over Mike with the previous honor code violations at VMI; Mike had to be cooperative with them or risk expulsion. Pete's been a model student at 'ODU,' Dom and Hutch have no play other than a coin flip with Pete, who's currently in with Corbin. Also, Pete only has knowledge after-the-fact, and Mike testified to Corbin's intentions being honorable as he heard it. I bet this was a tough chapter to write; it was hard for me to read it. -
I'm amused that some discussion started with an either/or situation when it's about Corbin. He has a talent for reorganizing his priorities quickly sometimes, and 3 weeks is a long time; plenty of time for the direction to go toward Pete or Mike. Or David. Chip and Lee are still around. There's plenty of other names that can be involved, even decisively. I like Mike. I like Mike with Corbin. But I'm 100% team Corbin, warts and all. He's the character I invested my time in a few years ago, and I want nothing less than a satisfying ending; not the one I choose for him.
-
Somehow I didn't get last chapter's notification, so today's was much sweeter. Fucking FINALLY! Granted, this is a work of fiction and twists and turns are expected. I'm glad that Chip and David are resolved for now, and I will stop with just a mention of Mike. I worry for Lee, but some things are coming together for Corbin in addition to (apparently) Pete. How will the tale turn next? Finally! (Maybe.)

A Whore, a Liar, Vindictive, and Petty
Tim23832 commented on Jwolf's story chapter in A Whore, a Liar, Vindictive, and Petty
There are new or revised chapters being posted on at least one other gay fiction site, which I am following, and they are coming. -
Since Kyle admitted he'd had two previous sexual encounters with other males (many chapters ago, did I remember that right?) that I knew who his other partner was. Was it was another Kappa, one who'd known him much longer than Rusty? Much longer, like his whole life??
-
Well, my last commented hopes didn't stand for long. Still, I hope Kyle and whoever and Spencer and whoever he ends up with (or not) find peace. I like Chooper for now. You suggested strongly that the Kappas would present themselves again, but I didn't consider a drug attack at their own event until other commenters suggested it. Having no background with Greek associations myself, I thought at first it was just self-induced alcohol poisoning. Tye's reaction to Coop's ER visit should be significant, assuming the season isn't over before the last chapter. Alcohol abuse seems to be a significant feature of Jwolf's recounting of college life and it doesn't disagree with my own experiences. (3 DUI charges but 31 years sober). I think I've matured; hurry up, Coop.
-
Late to the party, I am, by almost a decade. Fortunately this isn't my first Jwolf story. I see similarities to another main character who hooks up a lot, causing man troubles. Coop wasn't ready for a bf; I totally relate. I'll reserve commentary on Chase/Cooper, it's only been a few chapters and weeks in the story line. However, I saw Kyle/Spencer coming from New Year's Eve, and it's not just no surprise but, I think, a good pairing. I hope Coop is happy for his friend and roommate, and as gracious as he can be. Coop has identified some of his own shortcomings and behaviors, and getting along with Spencer and Kyle for their own sakes is within his range of behavior. He just doesn't seem THAT jealous. I wish Spyle well, and hope they can get along with Chooper. But, there's more to read...
-
I'm happy things appear to be getting sorted on your end. I'm really glad you're back. It's like a surprise party when you post, and what surprises there were this chapter. Dom and Hutch back at it, no surprise. Peter dropping in after all that, no surprise. Chip starting stuff, no surprise. Pete on the couch, surprise! Pete engaging, surprise!! Wowser! Loved it!!
