Over the last few days, Damien was becoming used to coming back from his evening walk to find Kayden sitting in front of the fireplace after his evening bath. Thank you so much for you review and insight. Based on a couple reviews asking about the working of the society, I added a scene to Chapter 2 for that. Someone else asked why Ellis didn't scent anything either (which was a good point), so I've added a little bit to chapter 4 as well to reflect that he did smell blood and told Ysmenia, but since Kayden wouldn't say anything about being hurt, it gets shrugged off. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story!
