Fable... what can I say about Fable... aside from the fact that it was only game I've gotten, then gotten RID of within 3 days. But... *shrug* that's just my opinion. Oh, and this is a prime reason why I save on multiple files - that way I usually have at least 1-2 other saves that I can reference.

I don't mean to offend, so, if you've already done this, I didn't mean to imply anything... Anyway, have you tried doing a complete uninstall of the game? (i.e.: using the game's uninstaller, then going in and making sure that not one single folder remains from its previous installation.) Presumably, if you uninstalled it, and then reinstalled it from the CD (can I go out on a limb and say that you do have a CD...) it would be back to the way it was -before- the patch that (presumably) screwed it all up. Hopefully that'd fix it for you... I'm suprised their tech support won't do anything for you in this instance...

After waiting three weeks for my phone company to get me my DSL modem, I'm FINALLY back online (and my website is too...). I'd like to apologize to anybody who was wondering where I was (though I doubt there are any of you who did...). So, yeah, it's good to be online again.

I just entered a tech school (High Tech Institute, in Phoenix) back on August 9th... things are going well (except for my ex-best friend / guy I love going to the same school... and he doesn't want anything to do with me now...)

Do you somehow get off on picking on those who have problems? Honestly, just because Forloyn has problems spelling things correctly, it does not mean that you have the right to pick on him for that fact.

meh... I prefer phpBB over this one... especially since phpBB is GPL, and I've been doing mods for it for a while (not major ones, but... *shrug*). Of course, I guess since I do a lot of web dev. using PHP... *shrug*

In your announcement about "For those who are squinting", you mentioned the smaller font size, lol... I'm not squinting 'cause of the font size, but, because the page is too bloody bright... *does fake vampire-like hiss while warding off the brightness of it all* Erm, yeah, other than needing more styles (which you said you were getting to already), I like it...

Heh, actually, I built my own CMS system for my site that has multi-user capabilities with privledges. Basically, I'd give you an account, and you could do your own updating.

I started reading the description and instead of: "Merlin took Excalibur and hid it within his keep" I read it as: "Merlin took Excalibur and hid it within his lap" If it wasn't for how small my upload bandwidth is (I'm limited to around 10 Kb/sec, ADSL >.<), I would offer to host your stories at my site.

lol, these days, a 100k message in my Hotmail account would just about push it over the storage limit. Usually, though, if any e-mail is from somebody I don't know, I won't open it... *shrug*

Having recently served on a jury for a criminal case, I'll add an opinion here... There wasn't a single person on the jury who doubted the defendant's guilt... However, after hearing all of the evidence against the defendant, we all knew that the prosecution had not PROVED his guilt. The judge cited George Washington, if I remember correctly, as saying "It is better to let 99 guilty men go free, than to imprison one innocent man." Yes, I, and most of the jury, did not walk away from this trial without feeling some doubt as to our verdict. I know I walked away with a migraine. However, I still feel that we have to uphold the right of a defendent to be 'innocent until proven guilty', regardless of the situation.

lol... I can only say that I'm glad that I "supported" the anime by buying the DVD copy of it... just because I already had fansubs of the entire thing, which all have 'proper' grammar... I do find it kinda sad that, of the two anime series that I've bought, both have had that form of subbing... (Gravi and Yami no Matsuei / Descendants of Darkness). The IRC people do so much better, most of the time... :wacko:

I've used Spybot for the past year or so, and couldn't be happier with the results. Although I still "had" to format my stepdad's computer because he had too much spyware on it -- bloody thing took like 5 minutes to log in, so I finally said screw it and formatted it... would have just used Spybot if it had been somebody else's

I really have to agree with DK on this one; bad grammar oft times ruins a good story. Personally, I use MS Word to write all my stories in, and sometimes the grammar check on it doesn't agree with me. However, it has caught a lot of things that I've gotten into the habit of doing. Grammar and sentence structure is very important to get correct, but, at the same time, in character dialogue... it's more believable if some of your characters get it wrong. In the same vein, I just finished reading the book "Exile's Honor", by Mercedes Lackey (exceptional author). The main character, Alberich, is from a country whose language structure is... at the expense of sounding hypocritical... bass ackwards (and they'd say the exact same thing about English). Hence, during most of the story, Alberich comes across as sounding like Yoda when he's speaking in 'Valdemaran'; because, to him, that's how the sentence is supposed to be. But, I digress... bad grammar is just bad
