No pics but I have enjoyed some cheddar cheese and new season apples for lunch. Jazz variety, very crisp, sweet apples cut into chunky slices. Apples seem to taste better when they are sliced.
I have some Persimmons (the hard ones) and Brie in the fridge for the next time I need a snack. A wedge of Brie on a slice of Persimmon is so good
It is a great winter soup. Hearty thick soup to fight the cold temperatures.
You can add flavours like a bit of ginger to add warmth to the taste profile. I think that’s why I like a good dash of black pepper, it adds layer of warmth
I am a big fan especially with freshly ground black pepper. The flavour profile does change depending on the pumpkin used but the sweet nutty flavour is so good. Some folk like a dash of cream or sour cream mixed it but if the pumpkins are ripe enough I don’t think it needs it.
Crusty bread is always a good accompaniment
Now I’m hungry
Definitely soup time for you Gary
And for me too - I got some of the pumpkin soup from the grocer today. It tastes so good on a cold day. I might save it for Monday with a max of 18C
I ran out of tissues so have been using kitchen wipes instead
Definitely buying some tomorrow.
I didn’t remember seeing this so I thought I should explain to Man that autocorrect changed bloody into bluefish so many times that we have conceded defeat and now use it to mean the same thing.
