  1. This is how my story started. You asked me to tell you why I’m the way I am, you asked me to write it all down. I’m not a writer, however. I don’t have a specific style, I’m not literary schooled and I probably make many mistakes. Still, I have an untold story. One you wanted to hear, so here it is. I want to ask you, once again, to keep this a secret. When I saw my mother’s red eyes and Kai’s body, that seemed to show his lack of hope, I started crying. My mother motioned me to sit next to
  2. Hmm, you're right, I think I kinda forgot to mention the breakfast with Elle. I'm going to edit that right away! And you right (again... sigh), focussing on that fairy tale prince is only a distraction from the real goal. If only he realised that. But you know what they say, 'a writer can't always control his own characters' (no one ever said that, as far as I know. So let me be the first ) Thanks for the feedback!
  3. I got out of bed early and put some music on, then pressed the button on the coffee machine. Unknowingly, I believe I have been waiting for this day for a few years now. I’m feeling really happy for the first time in ages. Well, I have been happy sometimes, but this is a different sensation. This happiness feels like it’s going to last for longer than a few hours. While waiting for the fresh coffee, I open my inbox and check the mail from Seth, even though there are several new email
  4. Hey, Yeah, the things Adam blogs about can surely keep you up at night. I hope it didn't affect you too much though. Thank you for the comment! Stannie
  5. As Adam is running from his old life, he meets many interesting people. Still, it seems hard to leave his old life behind, as it's trying to catch up with him every time he takes time to rethink it all.
  6. “You don’t just want to go to Lily City, you’ve got a reason for it.” I look up from the puzzle I was doing. “What do you mean?” “Well, you said you were just traveling around, without a destination, but you specifically wanted to go to Lily City. Why’s that?” Elle asks. I met Elle the second day of my vacation. I got rid of my bike as soon as I could. I know the plan was to only travel by bike, but do you realise how much work that is? I couldn’t sleep the first night because o
  7. No problem. I saw the time between the likes on the chapters and man, you really did read fast xD While we are discussing the story here anyway: I never really gave the story a setting, like a country or a city, because I felt like it didn't need one. Now Adam is going to travel around and I kinda want to use my own travel story, but then I would need to specify the cities he's going to. Do you think I can do that, or should I continue with the unspecified setting?
  8. Haha, I actually do have an editor, I just didnt have one when I started out with the story, that's why it says so. And yeah, I bet I made many more of those mistakes if not for my editor, haha Greetings from Vienna!
  9. Thank you all for the nice comments! I'm currently hitchhiking through Germany, and even after this day of beautiful experiences like getting a ride from a Afghan guy who was high and didn't have a driver's license, this really made my day better! Love to all of you <3
  10. I know the feeling, even I sometimes can't really symphatise with Adam, though I know his real personality. You're right, he is still confused and I hope he'll finally be able to organise his busy brain xD Glad you liked it!
  11. About Sam knowing Adam isn't into her in 'that way', does she really? Was Adam straighforward enough for her to 'give up hope'? I'm glad you liked the story and wonder what you'll think of the next chapters!
  12. Well, everone has a reason to do the things he/she does, so I bet Sam and Adam's dad both have reasons as well!
  13. I turn away from Seth. Luckily he doesn't say anything, so I just tell him, "I have to go, I'm sorry." "Aren't you going to crash here?" he asks, ignoring what just happened. I almost feel hurt by that, except I'm trying to do the same. "No, I got plans with someone else. I'm gonna sleep over there." He looks disappointed and maybe even a bit confused. "Well, okay. When will I see you again?" "I'm not sure..." I respond, not sure if I should tell him I'm going on vac
  14. I park my bike in front of the house and scan the street for a car I might recognise. Stupid, of course, as I don't know what car my dad drives. He was going to be here at 5PM, he promised. He can't back out, he knows that, I'll tell everyone about his secret. Shit, I really hope he didn't back out, that'd mean I don't have the beer I promised. I see Marc on his bike, riding towards me. I notice how he's looking for the beer. He looks disappointed. "Where's the beer man!" "Woah, that
  15. Don't get hyped before a game gets officially released. Learned that the hard way #NoMan'sSky It looks great though. I played "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor" and I will definitely play this one!
  16. The Stanley Parable xD If you don't get it, that means you have to play it right away!
  17. I like the part about the destination of the rivers. Indeed, they will all flow into the sea in the end! Thank you for the review!
  18. Yeah, that realisation could come. I like how everyone tries to interpret the story about the river in his own way, it gives me many insights! I'm glad you're enjoying it!
  19. I'm glad you find it worth the wait. I'm actually writing a new story and I will update 'missing' soon, both stories will progress a little faster as they aren't focussed on the thoughts of the main character that much. Thanks for the review!
  20. Well, we'll see. For the first time since long I managed to write a few chapters in advance, so I guess it won't take me long to post some more chapters! Looking forward to hear if you were right
  21. It's Sunday, the day of the party. I want to back out, I don't want to go anymore. Tomorrow I will run away, I'm sure people will understand I need some time to reconsider. Or whatever. I just don't want to go, I hate having to socialise. I didn't even pack my stuff. I don't want to take much with me, but I'll need some clothes, my toothbrush, and headphones to listen to music while I feel sad… Or happy, of course. It feels so weird. I'm so close to the moment I've looked forward to my whol

    Chapter 2: Kai

“Let me see him, I'm a nurse... Oh boy.” I hear a buzzing sound. “Did he move?” “I’m not sure, only saw him a few minutes ago. It’s such a mess here,” a man responds. He sounds desperate. All of a sudden an enormous flash of light enters my eyes. It causes me to want to curl up in a fetal position. My eyes slowly get used to the amount of light. I feel my head aching with every movement I register. “Hey there,” the woman in front of me says softly. “How are you?” “In pain,” I reply with a fa
  23. “So, how was your last day of school?” my mom asked me. I feel a little... I don’t know, sick or something? I'm stressed and my stomach is rumbling. Could that be because I wanted to continue my conversation with Seth? Shit, this is getting out of hand. I'm starting to act like I did when Yuri was around. “It was good,” I reply. “This was actually the first time in your life you went to the last day of school. Am I right?” Seriously, even though my mom works a lot, she somehow is able to kee
  24. I like how you start kinda inpersonal and gradually give more depth to the character. Well done!
  25. Ten minutes later my telephone's ringing. It shows Codey's number again. Right, that’ll be dad asking where he has to bring the beer to, I think as I pick up. But, it isn’t. “Hey… Matt,” It's Codey’s voice. “Oh, Codey!” I reply, trying to hide my surprise. “Dad borrowed my phone today… I saw he called you.” “Yeah he did.” I hear him weighing his next words. “Did he… you know… ask about you going into his study?” “Yeah, he asked.” Another important rule when keeping up a lie, always let som
