    Chapter 14

“Hmm, que fais-je icitte?” The guy smirked like a kid all happy after stealing some candy, “Ben, c’mon, c’est évident que j’ai un date,” (Hmmm, what am I doing here? Ben, c’mon, it’s obvious I have a date) he pointed at his date, a brown-haired skinny guy…and not bad-looking either. His date did stare at Ben a little too long before snapping his eyes away from his chest. The guy noticed his date’s staring, but didn’t seem to care. “Ça explique rien, Julien,” (That explains nothing) Ben rolled

    Chapter 13

I was sitting down on a marble block at Place-d’Armes staring at the Notre-Dame Cathedral, taking some photos of the 19th century neo-gothic church. Next to the church is the Vieux Séminaire (Old Seminary), and according to the little tourist guidebook I picked up from a tourist office at Place Jacques-Cartier, the Vieux Séminaire is the oldest building in the Vieux Port, built in 1684. The two-story building was shaped like a U with the wings pointing to the street, rue Notre-Dame, and it was m

    Chapter 12

We got off the Champlain Bridge to find a small island covered with condo and office buildings. Montreal, rapidly approaching, was getting closer and closer, and Adrien quickly told Ben to look at a highway sign. “Hey, Ben, regarde,” Adrien giving a huge grin. Ben and I looked at the sign saying, “Sortie – Autoroute 20 Ouest - Aéroport P.E.T. – Ottawa – Toronto” (Exit – Highway 20 West – P.E.T. Airport…) Ben snorted out giggling for no apparent reason, and Adrien joined him laughing. “Erm,

    Chapter 11

I was sitting on the bench outside of the state licensing center, which is located in the middle of an industrial park in the valley, waiting for Krist to finish his road test. Usually these road tests take five to ten minutes and according to many kids, they’re easy as hell compared to the first test, which has twenty multiple choice questions. Get seventeen of them right, you get your permit straight away, and it’s not unusual to hear that many kids fail on the first or second try. Good thing

    Chapter 10

The soft light of dawn was slowly creeping up from the foot of the bed. I slowly woke up to feel the bare skin of my arms and the upper part of my chest all cold. I turned my head to the table next to the bed, looking at the clock. It was 7:15am and according to the temperature display next to the time, it was –15F outside. Ugh, that has to be the coldest day of the year so far. I pulled the white flannel sheets and dark blue feather-stuffed comforter up to cover all of my exposed skin, putting

    Chapter 9

The day after the uneventful moment I had with Cecile, there was a huge weekend snowstorm that developed into a huge nor'easter, and on Monday, it brought blizzard conditions all over the state and the northern parts of the East Coast. The day after the storm that brought over a foot and half of snow, a strong clipper cold front passed by, bringing strong winds and the temperatures plunged into single digits with wind chill down to twenty below zero. That caused a huge mess on the state roads be

    Chapter 8

"Ben!" I said in shock while he was walking up the trail to the bus stop where my friends and I always wait, "I didn't expect you to be here." "Neither did I," he smirked, "Since we're alone now, I thought we could have that moment alone together," he walked towards me, pressing his chest against mine, with his fingers swirling around my chest. "Oh yeah..." I said and pressed my lips against his. After a few minutes of passionate kissing. Oh, I love that word, passionate. I'll say it ag

    Chapter 7

"C'mon Ben, let's go outside and see if we can find my friends playing another round of ice hockey before it gets too dark." I put on my winter coat and grabbed my backpack. "Ok," he followed me downstairs to a small closet next to the door where his coat was located, "M'man, on va au lac. Je rentrerai avant la nuit." (Mum, we're going out to the lake. I'll come home before dark.) "Ok les gars! Mais faites attention à la glace du lac si vous allez marcher sur ça!" Mrs. Lemoureaux said out

    Chapter 6

"C'mon, this way," I showed Ben the way out of the locker room to avoid the kids coming in. There is no way I am going to let a crowd to cut off what Ben was going to say to me several seconds ago. I need to find a room or a quiet spot so we can have some privacy. Since this is an old school, there are some hidden "doors," which means they're situated in small, narrow corridors no more than five feet long in the hallways. Most kids would ignore them and some of them are almost never used, except

    Chapter 5

“Thanks for the ride, Mr. Lemoureaux.” I said warmly. “Not a problem, Steph and I hope we’ll see each other again soon” he replied. I exited from his car and walked to my house only to find the door was locked. I fumbled all over inside of my backpack for my keys. “Shit, where is it…” as I searched my memory and realized, “Ah fuck, it’s in my room in my other jeans. God I’m such a fuckwad.” The door suddenly opened, which made me jump. It was my mother. “I heard that. It makes me

    Chapter 4

“Benoît! Arrête de manger comme un cochon pis mange plus lentement!’’ (Benoît! Stop eating like a pig and eat more slowly!) said Mrs. Lemoureaux. Ben rolls his eyes at his mother's chiding, "Quelever!" (Whatever!) he said with indifference. "Hey Steph, you want some bonbons that m'man hided from moi?" said Ben's little brother, Mathieu or as he’s more simply known, Matt. He has a cute, thick accent though. "Errr...bonbons?" I asked in confusion. "Candies," said Ben while munching

    Chapter 3

“You didn’t have to do that but thanks anyway,” said Ben. I let him go from my arms as he finished wiping some tears from his eyes. What have I done? This boy has to be on such an emotional edge that any negative reaction could push him into sad memories. I just cannot do that to him again, ever, and that is a promise. “I had to do what needed to be done. Sorry, I’ve just never met people like you, or even had anyone come out to me.” I replied. “People like me? And who they might be?” B

    Chapter 2

I sat waiting on a bench right outside of the guidance office. Why do they put the bench out here and not in the foyer between the door to the halls and the door to the actual guidance office? Some kids don’t really want to be seen waiting for the guidance counselor, including myself. I guess the counselor missed that little detail during his college education. There is always something in life that will remain unanswered until the time you die. I looked at the clock on the wall in front of
  14. Jersey seems to be handling the snow well in its own style. Oh... You...<3
  15. If we stop at the 1800s... then... Dad: England, Slovakia, and Ireland. Mom: Wales, England, Scotland, Quebec, and Germany. If we go back before the 1800s... I can trace my roots to the colonization of New England (1630s) and Pennsylvania (1720s). I'm related directly to the English royal family (King Edward III), so that brings my roots all the way back to Anglo-Saxon England and many monarchs in medieval Europe.
  16. You call that exhibitionist? I covered my crotch on purpose. Use the raincheck and I'll be 100% exhibitionist, my dear.
  17. I approve of your haircut.
  18. Pfff... Fine... Just click on them for bigger size. As I said... H&M undies are more comfy and snug. In the meanwhile as I am posting photos, Here are a couple more... All of these clothes bought on December costed me $320 in total. My parents and sister gave me $220 to cover them as Christmas gifts. Just look some of them on me now... I look f**king fabulous, bitches. D: But jesus christ, I look so hipster now.
  19. 128 stick figures then. Moron.
  20. After 2 minutes of careful counting, I also have come to this conclusion. It's not really hard... Save the file to a folder. Zoom the icon in folder by 400% and start counting the first row, then multiply by 4. Then count the top row because it's missing a level compared to other ones. Subtract it and you get the final result.
  21. Well, use the raincheck that I gave you and you can get a demonstration. If your waist is around 28-31, buy extra small. But AE undies loosen up fast over a few weeks and it drives me insane to put them in the dryer daily to keep the elasticity. If you looking to something snug and comfy, go to H&M to get some in a pack of three (in small). They're cheaper and better. And I am not showing you those. They're light and skimpy. ¬¬
  22. Or rather your lips.
  23. Joyeux Noël!!!
  24. The floors at the apartment are chilly, so it would be a bother to put on shoes or take the socks off for a few minute smoke.
  25. You've just proved my point.
