When we arrived dad had to fight through the reporters flanking the car trying to get our attention.
“Oh look Principal Hastings is giving some kind of interview,” I said and slouched back further in my seat.
“Trying to control the narrative, most likely,” Dad said rolling his window down. “Paul you won’t ticket me will you? Need to run Matt inside.”
“I charge by the minute Nate,” Mr. Baker said with a laugh.
I didn’t get the joke but both my parents joined in with laughter,
Winner winner chicken dinner... you caught who Mom works for and is family run... makes you go hmmmm.
Not sure on the hugs... when I am in bed sometimes I feel a cat near by kneading the bed and purring and then laying down. Funny thing is I don't have a cat. We had cats growing up so I feel like its one there to protect me.
I can say Ron had a sister IRL, but this is a small little plot story that will make you feel good. It was all innocent stuff. When you are close to someone it can be hard to see them date and sometimes while you may like/love who they are dating you drive them away.
Yeah the brother's have some issues but don't worry they will come around... at least I hope.
Yes, Luke is a prick and will be replaced.
I am surprised... both you and @Wesley8890 missed something in the last part of the chapter... I figured one of you would catch it.
The whole night was a blur with the media outside the house. The neighbors were calling left and right to complain. Dad called Mr. Baker and he was able to work with the local Bowie police force and his county officers to clear the area in front of the house. We weren’t on a main through fair but our small side street was packed.
“We moved them down to the church,” Mr. Baker said after Mom let him in.
“This is just one giant cluster” mom replied while vigorously texting. “My boss is
Sorry to make you cry. If it's any help sometimes I do get sad when I write or read other stories knowing darn well it's fiction. To me it also means I am getting to my readers which is something I want to achieve.
See my response to Dr Sawzall about the therapy....
Thanks for the comment.
Principal Asshat won't go down easy....
Matt is in therapy and it will be addressed but he was hospitalized for care for a bit. We just haven't seen him in that setting.
As a person who lost a sister I know what it's like when your family doesn't go to therapy. I am drawing from my experience.... here I am 7 years later and I've been in 3 years and my parents haven't gone.
“Hey buddy, any plans tonight,” Noah asked while fixing his hair.
“Nope, just staying home tonight; Mark has a date,” I replied plopping down on his bed. “So where’s the big party at tonight?”
“Alice’s parents are out of town and she’s throwing a ragger. It’s going to be epic.”
“When will you be home?”
“I’m going to be out late. Mom lifted my curfew,” he said and turned and smiled at me.
“Lucky. It’s not like I have that many friends anyhow,” a tear escaped my eye.
I am basing this off of where I used to live and sort of how things were then, which is very similar to now. A lot of staff stuck together and you could do no wrong. There was a teacher who got so tired of the administration turning a blind eye to things that she actually choked a student to the point he blacked out. She quit same day.
After some shit hits the fan and Mattie and future man meet, things will get better and some people will be shown the door.
Very true... people now of days are very self focused.
We will learn what happened to Noah and something is going to blow the school bullying wide open. He won't get over it as that is how he will come to find the love of his life... it will get semi dark.
“Mr. Jacobs!” The teacher said loudly and the class snickered. “First, you’re late and then you fall asleep.”
“I’m sorry,” I said looking up.
“He’s probably dreaming about Noah being gay for him,” someone said.
“He went to all the games and even cheered for him,” someone else said.
I started to feel a panic attack coming on. I’ve had them before but they got worse once Noah died, he used to help me breath. What was it he used to say?? Too late.
“Look he pissed his pant
