As we've both discussed at length the entire time I've been a regular participant in BL fandom, ratings on MDL mean absolutely nothing. On top of that I've seen Cutie Pie on lists of "Best BLs." That is an insane take, and plenty of "non-fringe" BL watchers have taken the series apart. That series could have had the title Problematic and that still wouldn't have been a good fit for the disturbing and bizarre behavior of the characters. That being said, just because I can see objective issues with a series, or loved series many times that people on MDL hate, people have their own opinions. So yeah whatever, I'm part of the fringe audience that actually thinks about a series beyond "oh the actors are hot" or "this series doesn't have enough NC scenes." Which is rich, because then they bitch when there's more NC scenes. Like the constant complaining when My Stubborn was being released.

I looked it up hoping for an explanation. I wanted to figure out what I was missing that so many others liked so much. I wanted to like the series. I'd been looking forward to it for over a year. But it wasn't to be. In all fairness though, the stupidity didn't hurt my brain as much as other Domundi series.

Uhmmm they explained why he was protected in that specific instance. But he wasn't immune forever. It's not a plot hole when they provide an EXPLANATION that is CONSISTENT with the world. Though there are plot holes in the Harry Potter series. But we weren't talking about them. Bad comparison, and bad diversion. WTF, that was intrinsic to the ENTIRE plot. The whole plot was how to stop her. The BL was quite the afterthought Obviously.
