It depends on where you live of course to some degree, but no, especially with stupid daylight savings time that we use, it doesn’t usually get fully dark until around 9pm in the summer.
Even without daylight savings time, Arizona (which doesn’t change the time back and forth) it’s still light out side until after 8. What makes it worse in AZ though is that it’s full daylight by 6am in the summer. And when it’s 115F every day, you pray for those dust storms that turn into what they called monsoons.
