  1. I’ve been to a Margaritaville twice, and I still don’t appreciate Jimmy Buffet’s music.
  2. Yes sweetie, I'm the unreasonable one. YOU ARE NOT GETTING NEO OR MARK!!! Hardly. But you already know I write reviews, I know you've read them over the years. Tim was the one who invited me onto the team way back in the day when he took over control of that topic. I think most of the other reviewers who were on the team at the time have mostly moved on, accept for maybe adi, who I think still does the occasional review. I think Val was with us back then but she's a super important person now too. I stick with the team, just to make Tim pull his hair out when I turn in like every review at the 11th hour the day before the blog posts.
  3. @Bardeara, have you watched any other series with the leads from the Cherry Magic remake? Tay and New have previously been a popular pairing a few years back, they took a break from BL for a while, so the series is getting buzz simply for their return. I’m personally looking forward to it either way.
  4. I understand that, The Eclipse in particular is probably in my top 5 BLs, based entirely on the relationship of the leads. They’re one of the more authentic pairings I’ve seen on screen where the relationship feels more real. I also strongly recommend the Eighth Sense. My enjoyment of Korean BLs has been very hit-and-miss. Generally, with a few exceptions, they’ve been too short and underdeveloped. This year they’ve released some particularly good ones, even the shorter series. The Eight Sense has none of the issues, and in my opinion it’s the best Korean BL ever made.
  5. That was entirely directed at Drew silly. I know you read it already.
  6. It’s actually one of her more straightforward stories, a lot of the others have more fantastical elements. Not that that you would particularly care about that.
  7. Oh it’s not my blog, I’m part of the review team, one of the staff members sets up the blog post and we just pick the stories and write the review content.
  8. Well then you did know where to start. Or do I have to specifically direct my recs to you. When I post my reviews do I have to start saying, I recommend this story for everyone in the GA community, but especially Drew Espinosa? … I’m actually afraid of the response to that question…
  9. I also reviewed one of her stories on reviews blog back in June, that I recommend. Which you’d know if you supported my hard work… Anyway it’s called Good Guys Don’t Date Bad Boys. It’s a school romance so it’s right up your alley.
  10. I had previously heard it, but haven’t dipped into it yet. However I generally enjoy Laura’s writing, so I’ll have to check that out.
  11. Hi @Bardeara, I’ve been down the rabbit hole of BL since about February of this year thanks to Drew Espinosa, who posted above me. I can’t even entirely explain the “reason” for pretty much exclusively watch BLs except to say, like you, I found a lot of western equivalent media to be too sparse and too lacking with a couple of notable exceptions. My all-time top favorites are kinda moving constantly depending on what I can remember as being particularly great, you’ve listed some of the pinnacles of the genre here already. Be My Favorite has blown me away with how consistently good it’s been and how amazing the acting of the two leads have demonstrated. It seems like a lot of your series are all from GMM, all of those you listed I love. Here’s a few more of my absolute favorites from GMM: The Eclipse Moonlight Chicken My School President Not Me
  12. I don’t think he can compete with our PMs @Drew Espinosa
  13. Yeah that’s usually our job!
  14. I was typing on my phone goofball.
  15. She still is, it takes more than that to shake my affection , as you well know.
  16. I’m feeling attacked here ma’am.
  17. Gary, I'll keep this short for the opening chapter, not a lot of story to dissect except to say that it was a great opening, I'm definitely feeling bad for Jubal, and I'll keep my fingers crossed and things can turn around for him despite his loses. Also looking forward to getting to know him, and finding out what's made him so untrusting. I'm so proud of you buddy, for getting your inspiration back and cranking this one out so fast! Can't wait to take this journey with Jubal!
  18. Hi Phi Chai! I’m doing alright, just settling in for another week at work. Sorry to hear about your friend, sending all the virtual hugs.
  19. Do you need a belly rub buddy? 👀
  20. Been there before, luckily I got off with a small dent in my windshield and some “dimples” in my car, others parked right around me had to replace their windshields… I guess I put out some bad karma though, because in the vehicle I replaced that car with I’ve had to replace the windshield twice cause of goddamn rocks hitting my windshield on the highway. And even my current windshield had to be repaired for the same thing.
  21. It depends on where you live of course to some degree, but no, especially with stupid daylight savings time that we use, it doesn’t usually get fully dark until around 9pm in the summer. Even without daylight savings time, Arizona (which doesn’t change the time back and forth) it’s still light out side until after 8. What makes it worse in AZ though is that it’s full daylight by 6am in the summer. And when it’s 115F every day, you pray for those dust storms that turn into what they called monsoons.
