She was maintaining her distance, staying just out of sight from the procession of soldiers and prisoners hiking through the woods. Peter could sense her on the edge of his consciousness as she shadowed them with stealth and cunning, waiting for the right opportunity to strike. He was glad the tigress hadn’t been captured along with the rest of them, as it was the best chance any of them had for rescue. He tried to split his mind between his link with the tigress and listening in on the conv

A very merry day of existence to you.

The room was round, thirty feet in diameter and had neither doors nor windows. Tristan was sure he had opened a door seconds before, but then he had arrived here. The walls were red and earthen, though they had been shaped by intelligent hands and not through natural means. Tristan’s eyes were drawn toward the pool in the center of the room, a raised well several feet above the floor filled with white water. It radiated warmth, and as he approached the pool he began to sweat. He had never pe

After the brutal loss of several of their number, the remnants of the Icarus Confederacy attempt to pick up the pieces. A mysterious dream points Tristan in a new direction, and what was once thought lost may still yet linger.

A very merry day of existence to you, Gary.

Peter heard the sound of growling and scratching, though it seemed muffled and distant. He couldn’t put his finger on it, especially since it seemed quite odd that the sound would continue with such regularity considering the distance they had traveled already. But then as he paused briefly to consider the noise, he realized that it was coming from inside his own skull. And then he sensed a direction that the noise was pulling him, and he took an involuntary step in that direction. He paused

A very merry day of existence to you, my friend.

I'm sorry to hear that. My sensei, the man whom I credit with keeping me alive through the worst period of my life, succumbed to cancer when I was 19. It's a nasty killer.

The cellar door opened with a loud creak, and a shot was fired from deep inside. The group dove for cover, all except for Jacob who stood tall and angry at the top of the staircase that led down within. Another series of shots came his way, but these hardly distorted Jacob’s ghostly form as he started down the steps, his eyes burning with unspeakable rage. He saw them then; five soldiers crouching behind overturned tables for cover. This was a makeshift mess hall for the troops that were sta

Yes, the table is set, and we need only wait for a short while to find out who is coming to dinner. Ivan and Finn have been orchestrating this from the beginning, predicting every move. As for Jacob... Thank you for the review.
-
And more will soon be revealed which should keep you wondering what is really going on in the world. I hope you continue to enjoy it. Thank you for the review.

Hopefully it was an adequate setup for the new season. A lot going on, and a lot promising to happen in the future. And yes, Nevala is definitely back. Thank you for the review.
-
No... Jacob really isn't himself right now...

He tried to quicken his pace, but he felt like he was walking toward the end of everything. Max had grown very tired of saying goodbye to Finn and not going with him, but he knew that this time he had to. With Ivan gone, it was Max’s duty to stay behind, no matter how much Max wanted to climb into the aircraft with him. The country needed him, and that was all there was to it. He stepped through the door to the roof and found Finn waiting for him, taking a draw on a cigarette. Max hated

Tristan was doing the best he could to slide his clothes onto his still damp body, but it was proving more difficult than he had anticipated. When Finn and Max had burst into the pool room and told the group that they needed to make haste back to the Capitol as quickly as possible, Tristan had lost his focus. He and Micah had been sneaking private moments whenever the others’ backs were turned, and he was both aroused and worried at the same time. Micah seemed to be less affected by the news

There was a difference in his step. He was hiding something, or at least he was thinking about something that he didn’t want Finn to know about. As good as Ivan was at concealing his feelings, Finn was a master of reading other people, and there was no doubt when he was holding back. Of course, none of that gave him the right to address it while they were walking down the hallway. Ivan would broach the subject when he wanted to, and no sooner. It was Finn’s place to serve and obey regardless

Thank you a million for reading and reviewing. I loved writing the Micah and Finn section. I wasn't sure how those two would work together at first, but as soon as I got them in the same room it was like magic. The same with Max and Luke... I loved the way they played together in my head. Thanks again!

You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it. I trust you weren't worried about Tristan, then? I hope you enjoyed chapter 5 as well. Thank you for the review.

Ivan is a complicated man, to be sure. But, Finn and Max are good people, are they not? Surely there must be some trust in there. But they are definitely different. Two different forces caught up in the same whirlwind, but thrown to different sides. Is the alliance between the two worth it for those left over from the rebellion? We'll see. Thank you for the review.
-
Ivan is complicated. That at least is certain. Honestly, I may have made a mistake here, but I'll have to wait until you reach Season 3 for me to find out. As for the fate of the Wer Alliance? Well, there's a lot to that, as well. I see you have decided to stay tuned. Hopefully, it won't be as bad as you're envisioning... then again... Thank you for the review.

Or is it? This web is very intricate, and I've done my best to keep it that way. I really tried to open up the grander scheme in Season 2, and this is really where the dominoes start to fall. But, remember, nothing is ever entirely as it seems. Thank you for the review.
