  1. Tristan didn’t dare sleep, not with the soldiers so close by. He didn’t know what their agenda was but he definitely didn’t trust a single one, especially Faust. After allowing him to see Corban’s body the soldiers had brought him back to the original tent where he had been held and handcuffed him to the center pole of the structure. He tested his strength against the pole and found that he could hardly budge the metal support at all. He was hopelessly trapped. An hour passed without anyone
  2. “Hey, the kid’s awake,” a gravelly voice penetrated the darkness of the tent as his eyes fluttered open, “Go get Faust.” “What?” The boy said as he sat up from the bedroll, but he collapsed back down to his elbows just as quickly when his head protested the movement. He had the worst headache he had ever experienced, and he couldn’t quite remember why. There was hardly any light to be had except a small flicker of flame which he caught glimpses of through the tent flap, but even then he squ
  3. Monsters have banded together and overthrown the most powerful governments in the world. Infrastructure crumbled, and the world was torn apart by war. Tristan Langster and his two brothers are among the many young people trying to survive in a dangerous world. Tristan's life changes when he is captured by the North Wer Alliance for crimes he did not commit.
  4. A warm welcome to all three of you.
  5. Only one of my missionaries knew the truth at the end, and he only found out a couple of weeks before I went home. This experience happened toward the end of my two years of service. Elder Anderson, whom I had known since nearly the beginning of my mission. (He left only six weeks after I did) Tried to encourage me to pray and read my scriptures to regain my faith, but otherwise he was actually very respectful and listened to my situation. He supported me as a friend, and for that I will be forever grateful. Oh, and just to clarify as I'm sure I didn't make it as clear as I could, I'm not an atheist myself, I'm actually Taoist. Thanks for sharing your own experience as well.

Thank you. I believe in making grief public. I know this is not a common viewpoint, but I have my reasons for it. I think that the only way we can overcome grief is by putting it out there. My evidence for this is that bottling it up has only ever caused me harm. Thanks for reading.

    Another Passage

    Thank you. Life goes on.
  10. We called him ‘Strange Alcohol’. It was a direct translation of his name, when read by a student of the language who was not native to the script. We thought ourselves witty, for the man had strange ideas which we often mocked to remind ourselves of the wisdom we had acquired. What boy at twenty knows the state of things? We certainly thought we did. We had been raised in the one true religion; our parents had taught us the truth since we were old enough to understand words. The wealth of e
  11. Great topic. Would it be too forward to ask for ideas regarding responding to reviews on this topic, or should I start my own? I was just thinking about doing one of those last night. I often don't know what to say in response to reviews, and I feel like my responses sometimes come off as monotonous.
  12. By the time Jason and Chris returned to the room, Gary had made up his mind not to tell them what had happened. Having been forced to change his pants and garment bottoms, and not wanting to undress in front of Luke after what had happened between them, he’d decided it was better to go and change in the shower instead. The heat of the water had slowly calmed him down until he was relaxed enough to think over what had transpired between him and Luke. He realized he couldn’t deny how he felt a

It's understandable, and I'm not offended. This was the first time I had ever collaborated with someone in this manner, and I foresaw that problem and tried to keep such scenes at a minimal to tell the story, and I'm sorry it hurt your experience of the story. But rest assured, it's never happened again. I'm constantly learning, and sometimes that means I hit some rough spots. Thank you for finishing the story anyway.

  15. Thank you.
  16. You might just get one someday. I'm certainly pulling for you.
  17. It was certainly Finn. He deserved it, after all. Of course, we all know Jack is the true king.
  18. It should happen. I haven't failed at producing one yet, but... there's always this year.
  19. I may be posting Ashes of Fate here soon. If I do, then this needed to be here. Finn is too good not to have his background story.
  20. Nothing written yet. But hopefully soon.
